Another busy day for me and the afternoon got even busier.
Tracie called me just as I was thinking of heading back to my doctors office.
"Oh..wait for me and I'll drive you",she said.
After a few I can do it..it's daylight still from me, I relented to her pleading.
Made a call to the doctors and told them I'd be coming in 45 minutes.
Turned out to be a longer time waiting for Tracie to arrive, but once there it wasn't busy and the receptionist did the EKG.
This was one wierd EKG. Once wired up she nudges my left leg and says.... is this your left leg.
Answered her in the affirmative but was perplexed as to the why.
Does the same thing with my right leg.
Last I checked...is this an Alzheimers Test, I ask.
No... it's something we have been instructed to do.
I have to get cutesy and ask if I will have both legs once I'm done or was one being amputated.
She saw the humor in it. :0)
Guess she is a Jack Of All Trades like I once was at the chiropractors where I worked.
All of us women employed there could do modalities on patients once the doctors trained us.
Now I heard from the staff I worked with ( there are still 3 of them working there) that a course has to be taken to be certified to do these modalities.
State of MA wants their dollars ..............one day we may be taxed on the air they figure we breathe.
I shit you not!
Out of there...we head to the place that did the CD for me. Again the traffic is making it impossible to make a left hand turn, so Tracie turns right.
Did she go to the lights and make the left like I did?
Hell no! She made a right at the lights and went a few miles behind where we needed to go and came out just beyond it. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh well. Go along for tthe ride ishitunot.
As we made the right turn Tracie asked me if I was wearing glasses when I left the house. Uh huh..
Wasn't now. sigh! Realized when I pulled my top off at the doctors I hade removed them and set them on the tray where some instruments were.
Tracie decided for me that we would first get the CD and then go back and thennnnnnnnn COME BACK to shop in another store in that same strip of stores where A1 Foto was.
I sprint back in and the doctor and receptionist are doing paper work behind the desk.
"I'm back again because I love this place so much" ,I proclaimed. :0)
They looked at me and the receptionist spoke,"can I help you?"
Told her what I needed and was ready to sprint to where I left them.
Doctors words stopped me, " there are patients in there."
Scuzeeeeeeeeeeeeeee moi. Three treatment rooms and ONE effin white truck plus Tracie's car where patient's park.
I was nice and waited.............receptionist went to room on the right and I heard her say, " the doctor will be right with you " and then she went the other direction for my glasses. :0( :0)
We make the same long way around trip back to the strip mall to Bob's Store.
You can drop a bundle in there and I did. Found some sweatshirts that beat the Hell out of the ones I purchased at Burlington Coat Factory for $10 more. Blow Out Sale price.
Now I have returns at BCF. :0( Another trip ... It's in the center of our town. :0)
It's worth the trip back. I shit you not!
Tracie bought herself alot of warm sweatshirts and sweatpants in the mens department.
She is always cold and she keeps her car heater BLASTING HEAT. I shit you not!
Shut up and go along for the ride ishitunot.
From there it was just next door into the grocery store. Hubby asked for baby prunes.
Prune juice goes bad. He only needs it once in a great while and even refridgerated it gets mold on it.
His thought train went to ...baby food. Sounds like a PLAN to moi.
Replaced my food coloring and bought more for Cheryl. Plus sprinkles.
It is here that I will say, I admire her WILL POWER.
She bakes cakes and cookies often and hardly if not DOESN'T touch them.
She must be in a size 6 now. I SHIT YOU NOT!
Once she sets her mind to loosing weight she does it.
I'd say she has lost all of the 35 pounds she had gained and wanted to lose.
Heard her say she eats alot of nuts...almonds and ?
That leaves moi OUT. sigh!
Never learned to wear my bottom CHOPPERS. I shit you not!
Beginning next year...even if it's 1 pound a week, I have to make an attempt at loosing weight.
I SHIT YOU NOT!
Once home Tracie helped me in with my purchases. :0)
It was here that I should have parted ways, but she had hinted she hoped we would let her see the CD so I asked her to stay.
:0( It was not the old film hubby thought it was. He resigned himself to the fact that his ex wife took those films when they parted ways. sigh!
It was of our kids and grands taken from 1974 to maybe 1979.:0)
and ............................. my mother is in a couple of clips and my dad is in one. Grand kids birthdays.
A quick glimpse of Tracie's dad going to his car across the street was caught.
Larry Jr's first steps as he walks alone on the blacktop street out front with his aunties with him.
Michelle and Jill.
How well I remember that day. We were going to surprise his mother Karen when she got through work at Almays and Jane my next door neighbor was out when she drove by and told her she watched her son taking his first steps. :0)
We got over it..............well I thought I did until that memory was TRIGGERED. :0)
You may have figured it out. YEP, this grand lived with me too. :0)
While the CD was only 30 minutes long.Tracie sat in hubbys useless to him chair beside him until 10 watching TV with us.
Well, with him anyway. I was at my computer doing ??? reading email, playing Texas Holdem, reading blogs. MY THING!
He made SPLASHES instead of WAVES after she left.
Keep her out of my room. Sit out there with her.
I keep asking her why she doesn't have her brand new wide flatscreen TV hooked up to cable yet.
I will...I willl, once I can't get out so much in the winter is her answer.
Oh welllllllllllllllllllllll.... makes no sense to moi. then again maybe it does. She hardly stays in her apartment.
Before I forget.
I began calling Jill's cell when I was in Bob's Store to ask what size young Gil wore in shoes.
Bobs Store had some nice Coleman winter boots on sale.
Left a message. No answer back.
Once I viewed the CD I called just to see what the Hell was going on with her.
Mailbox was FULL. SHIT!
Ah ha! Dialed his cell... No answer. Left a message asking what was up and I wanted to hear from her.
Maybe an hour went by and I foolishly tried her cell again and then HIS.
He answered. Where's my daughter I asked.
She's here with me ( no background noise) Do you want to speak to her. I did!
Her speech was LOOSE LIPPED. I'm fine. I'm sorry mom. I love you.
All that and a piece of pie .............sigh!
I'll be home tomorrow. Lock the house up. Don't worry.
Where ever they were ......she wasn't driving, wasn't dead or in some strangers bed.
I could sigh a sign of relief.
Not twenty minutes go by and the whine bucket calls me.
Pat, Jill is fine. She told me not 3 hours ago of what happened Saturday and I am going to be doing some sleuthing with her tomorrow .Driving the roads she rememebers and SHE WILL BE REPORTING THIS TO THE POLICE!
Welllllllllllll she is always calling him THE BIG HERO in a sarcastic way.
Let him be A HERO!
STOP THE PRESSES!
Jill just called. They found the house. I shit you not!
Wants me to do a land search on my computer and call her back with the name.
That's All Folks!
The ramblings of a mom of 9 by her KIDS that are STILL making her climb walls ,even as adults. Said I DO 3xs and I WANT OUT 2 xs. Have learned there is no such thing as a Rose Garden. My motto is Life Is Too Short To Be Miserable. When the bad outweighs the good it is time to shit can em. Laugh with me or at me, welcome to my world.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad she told WB, the more people know the more can get done, just hope they nail the barstard.
ReplyDeleteHad to go back and check.... When you said EKG. But turns out the EKG was routine. Whewwwwwwwwwww...
ReplyDeleteMust be the "Season for EKG's" though. I had to have one, the other day. Not routine. More testing set up. Wheeeeeeeee... :-)
