It's still Tuesday May 3rd and I'm still waiting to go to WalMart.
No sooner than I hung my purse over my shoulder did I hear..............Hold on. Brian ( Corinne's boyfriend ) is on his way here to have his headlight changed.
He finally arrived and the next thing I saw was him in the house with Corinne and he is playing a baseball game on his cell phone. My head swiveled around towards the garage where he had pulled his car in out of the hot sun and I headed into the garage. I'm looking at my son and grandson Derek looking at the problem under the hood and here's this guy at least twenty years old playing a game on his phone.
I look at Diane and she looks at me and she says, " Sonny ( meaning my son ) is a good guy."
Around 2:15 Corinne left for work and Brian went out to the garage.
It gets to be 3 and I lie down on our bed beside hubby.
Around four DIL Deb came home and after much to do.....she and Diane along with Ava go to the Cambodian store for the staples Diane needs. What would have cost her $25 in RI , she paid $65 here. Things were marked up upsurdedly. One two dollar item in RI was seven dollars here.
Meantime Derek is pushing Aliya around in the garage in her stroller to pacify her and I took this opportunity to climb beside hubby and doze off.
It was around five when they got back and I was told by Derek that we were ready to leave. Again I slung my purse over my shoulder. Then Deb said that she and Derek needed to go to Sams Club first as things ( fruit and veggies ) needed to be bought in bulk to cut the cost down and what they don't find there..then Sonny and I and Derek can get what else we need at Walmart. Sooooooooooooooo I sat at my laptop and within minutes as Diane was making baby cereal for Aliya and peeling a banana for Ava I watched from a distance at my laptop as Ava climbed up onto the recliner/rocker and began to rock on her knees and she fell backwards onto the tile floor. From the other side of the room and what seemed like slow motion ( as I sat frozen ) I watched the scene unfold to my horror. :0(
What a bump she has on her forehead. I ran for ice and a face cloth and Diane had a heck of a time trying to keep it on her.. She's holding Aliya in one arm and trying to sooth a crying Ava and keep ice on her head with the other.
Sooooooooooooooooo that's where I am now at 5:30 p.m. Waiting.
If we don't get to Walmart....no big deal. There is always tomorrow.
Meantime....hubby has/had spent the day in bed sleeping off and on. In all the confusion of getting groceries put away he decides to come out to the couch.
Oh goody, I'm thinking and rush to make the bed..Fifteen minutes later he was back in it. He was cold.
Let me tell you what I have heard out of him year after year for YEARS as soon as it gets cold in MA.
"I want to go to Florida." I shit you not! Day after day, " I'm cold..I want to go to Florida."
I swear he said it more than he needed to just to pissed me off. :0(
Now he is here...........and HE IS COLD! WTF !!!!
Oh and year after year I hear , " I never used one kleenex when I was in Florida." He has gone through at least eight boxes. I shit you not!
I'm not saying this to be ugly. I'm getting frustrated standing and watching him deteriate and not helping himself. " I can't help it if I feel sick" he tells me. Sigh....neither can I.
So here I sit at my laptop. Diane is making a stir fry . Derek is trying to pacify his kids and is letting Ava tear apart the box of swimmers Pull Ups and open the package. She likes to count , so she is using her pull ups to count. Kids stuff is strewn about ( kids will be kids ) and it's chaos in general.
Only four and a half hours before they sleep. If we are lucky.
I had seven kids in seven years. I would love to see these two parents handle that when just their two keep them running like chickens missing their heads. It's comic.
DIL Deb is not use to this confusion....no siree. I shit you not !
Now Ava has a bag of chips and wants it opened. She is banging it around. They will become potato chip-chips.. ;0)
Diane announced that supper is ready. I'd like to learn to cook some of these dishes.
This stir fry was okay. Added some of her Houisan sauce and it made it better than OKAY.
Ava played with her food and played in her grape juice. Wonder why. She has been eating junk ...a little bit here that she wants and just takes a nibble of and a little bit there. She wants...she gets. All she has to do is ask. Not my problem,,,,you say. Yep, in two weeks when they leave ...it's their life. Not mine. :0)
The parents have a problem, not the kids.
Oh well.....I am a good example why OLD people don't have kids.
I have no patience for this shit and never did. I could say the word "NO" to my kids and their crying didn't harm them physically or mentally.
Eighteen swimmer pull ups at the cost of $12 and Ava wants them on as a diaper. One pee and she takes them off. OMG!!!! Ka Ching, KaChing.
It's Wednesday May 4th ...Hubbies sister Peg's 76th birthday.
She's a sweetheart. I lucked out with good in laws. I shit you not!
My son, grandson and I headed out to Walmart sometime near eleven.
Walmart is practically empty at that time of night.
We did one strip mall casino on the way there. I made $33. My son $32 and grandson lost forty cents on our starting twenty dollars. :0)
It's 7:30 a.m. DIL Deb is almost ready to begin her work day. Grandson L.J. is getting ready to go to his college classes.
It's a new day. Let's hope it's a better day for hubby.
It's NOT! He woke at nine. It's almost eleven and he has come out to sit on the couch .
That is an improvement over yesterday, but he still says he feels lousy and yet his B/P was 132/69 pulse 48 which is good. As to what is going on with him...I have no idea. sigh!
I will take this opportunity to get him showered as it's been a few day.
Listening to Itsy Bitsy Spider on a ? and Dora on TV. Diane is singing the song to the kids.
Ava ate less than half of a banana Diane offered to her, then she wanted yogurt and took a few spoonfuls. Now Diane is offering her strawberries and is rising from the floor to wash them off and put them in a bowl.
All day long this goes on. Food , interactive play with mom and diapers changed from the time they get up until they DROP..
No one can say that these children are neglected. I shit you not! She tires me out.
That's All Folks!
