D D The critters.........ugly photos

Trying to be really quiet . Almost 7 a.m. ...no one is stirring.  Probably should just take my yarn in the other room and crochet.
Jill worked from 4 to I assume midnight...she and Butchie woke me at 1:15 a.m. They were heating up leftovers. Woke a couple more times. Remembering now a dream that I was in a fist a cuff with someone.and my hands were hitting hubby. Think I heard him say, "hey, stop it."  Never have been in a fight.. Hoping it was ALL just a dream.
A  squirrel was just outside my sliding door waiting to be fed. Usually they scamper away and come back..Not this one. In years past have had them eating from my hands. Love chocolates. I shit you not!
They got so spoiled that they ate the peanut butter off a cracker and dropped the cracker.
Bottle fed 2 baby squirrels. That was a labor of love. Every 2 hours it screamed to be fed. Hand fed a baby robin that fell out of the bottom of a nest in a tree next door. First it was by a special bird formula you mix with water and  a syringe....then digging worms in my yard all summer. It would fly up into a tree and when I would call it he/she would make a sassy sounding call so I named it Sassy.  Would come back and sometimes land on my head. Even took it to FL a few winters. I shit you not! Have robin, will travel. Called the bird organization that saves birds...they didn't want a robin.
Kept chipmunks too. One of our cats would catch them and as soon as I spotted it with one, moi would run out and get it away from the cat before it met an untimely fate. Hubby made a nice cage for them ..trouble was when I went to feed them one or more got out. Fun,fun, not! Moving a fridge was not that easy back then. Eventually hubby dug down into an area in the back yard, lined it with chicken wire, placed hollow tree limbs around and they lived happily ever after  UNTIL the pool was going to be installed in 1976. Set them FREE.   Kids got over it with a pool to swim in. I shit you not!
Been listening to the sounds of nature on FLWildlife.Cam as I write. Got my headphones on. Some deer were eating there earlier and now the coons are back. Would love to have a small home on a pond , woodsy, no close neighbor. Would settle for a stream and woods. My best friend Nancy lives in a small 2 bedroom home on some acreage ( all woods ) on a hill in AK with a stream running below.  Who knows............ Now the ugly photos:

Moi hears sounds of awakening people.

D D The good, bad and ugly

Another one of those ....my get up and go, has got up and went...days.  Absolutely no energy, none..nadda...zip.  Have had far less sleep at night than I get now and felt more awake. What's with that?  Thinking back to hubby's mother ....the poor soul was a saint. We would drive the 30 or so to visit her on a weekend and would keep her awake for hours. Moi can picture her now, sitting at the kitchen table at his sister's house for hours right up into her 80's, never nodding off. She was a saint I tell you.  Best mother in law anyone could have. Never heard complaints or a bad word out of her mouth.
On the other hand ex # 2's mother was the mother in law from hell. Her baby had double pneumonia not once, BUT 2 times as a baby. Never should have married...That male child was meant to remain single and care for his parents in their old age...   which he ended up doing.  He cared for her at home, her in a fetal position, on a feeding tube, not being able to do a thing for herself after caring for his dad in the rest home during the day while an aunt was with his mom. That's what he was programmed to do.  Had a day time and night time job.  Thought he had a sad life then and still do.  Met me when he was in the service stationed in CA when he was out from under their clutches.  His dad tried like hell to get him out of the Army on the grounds he was the only son.     Moi still can hear her voice screaming in her ears and the wild look on her face.  Prim , proper church going woman that she was ...never a nice word to say about anyone. Since it's not nice to talk about the dead, I'll say a good thing, " she was a good cook." You want more, you won't get it from me.    Would hand feed our son... at 4 years of age.  I shit you not!  Bubble gum at the end of his meal was promised.  hahaha she shop lifted that.  If he didn't like something on his plate she wouldn't just scrape it off.  No way!  Made him a whole new plate of food minus the offending item.
Never would speak in English around me which she could speak...always in Czech. Would hide the ex's car keys and blame me for it. Stole my jewelry. makeup, mail and things like towels, wash cloths. Would steal from the local small grocery store in West,TX . They were wise to her. Since she didn't pay at the time of purchase, but ran a tab each month, they would add those pocketed items to her bill.  Moi never saw her write a check nor handle cash , so I think she didn't know how to write or read English.  The ex father in law from hell would write letters and pay bills.
Now you might wonder why I call them the in laws from hell. She attacked me like a mad woman when her son believed me over her. All I could think of was lord don't let her die on me as I was trying to restrain her. Bit my hand as I was holding her hands to stop her from pounding on me. In one hand I held her glasses that had fallen off her face trying to keep them from breaking. My kids were screaming and the ex ..... never did a thing to help me less he feel her wrath. No spine... Finally broke away and ran to a neighbors house to call the police.
Once when I went out to shop in town she told my kids she hoped I's get  run over like a dog in the street. Came home to my kids crying.
One day I was awakened to a sound coming from the back yard outside my window. Raised my head up in time to see the ex father in law killing a cat. He held a piece of meat up & when the cat went for it he hit it with a hoe. All this happened in a split second and I screamed. When he came in, he kept saying over and over... dirty, filthy cats. My sharp words to him were, " some day I will piss on your grave."  When I moved from CA to West,TX we brought our puppy with us. One day we came home from shopping. NO dog. Looked everywhere. In that instant when I saw him kill the cat, I knew the fate of my dog named Touche".
As fate would have it I got to keep that promise made to the ex father in law. When ex # 2 passed away 20 some odd years later, Jill & I flew there from MA to clean out the house & ready it for sale. Found some of my missing items, even letters to my family that never were mailed. Taken from the mailbox after I put them in it to be picked up by the mailman.            anddddddddddddddddddddddd
moi peed in a jar ...guess where she took it?    St.Mary's Cemetary. I shit you not!  lmfao
Moi did not like living in their house as much as they apparently didn't like me being in it either.  Coming from CA with 7 kids it took a few months to find a place of our own. Whether they came to CA or we were in West she took over our son like he was hers. Her eyes would dare you to stop her. Her grand daughter Jill meant nothing to her, the same as her 5 grand daughters at that time that were his sisters kids.  Poor Bill, she always took a back seat to her brother that was almost 10 years younger than her. All she ever heard  was Jr this and Jr that and when our son was born it was Sonny this and Sonny that. She let me know that. Met her in town at a diner while Jill and I were there in October 1994. Willie Mae passed away going on 2 years now.   One year we drove to West from CA for a 2 week vacation when Sonny was a newborn.... I can remember hiding in the grass on the other side of the railroad tracks until the house went dark before I dared to go back inside.  Dad and Jr were drunk late one night & she took some kind of fit...writhing on the floor, foaming at the mouth.  Moi was trying to help her and they kept pushing me away.
I HATE ALCOHOL !  I shit you not!
Who sent the Mother's day corsages? Who picked out her cards and gifts?  NOT Jr as she told his sister.
Moi is smart enough to know that all except one of my sons  wives get my cards and remind them to sign then on the appropriate dates.  Well 2 sons, now that I think of it. The single one and son #3 who's 2nd wife is not into his side of the family.
On an upbeat note, the Chinese food was delicious last night. The weather is beautiful, so will tomorrows be.  I'm alive and in pretty good health at 73. I'm quite over weight...am aware of  it ...trying to watch my intake as of late.
Can still touch my toes, but find it hard to get up off the ground.  What's with that!  Use to wash my floors on my hands and knees. Key word....use to.   Thanks to Wellbutrin, I'm glad to be alive. Beats the alternative. I shit you not!

D D Logan & project.. going down memory lane... Chinese food

Wow! How time flies when you're not even having fun. 10 a.m. already. Took pictures of Logan with his project indoors and him and his classmate Michael with the project outside as they were taking it to school.
A marble goes from the top, down the nail studded board ( which you can't see ) into one of those pockets  marked with 25,50,100 or in the center which has the most score and then down a long tube into a small cup. You raise the cup up and begin again.  All made of wood, ppc pipe, nails. Can only wonder what the other students made orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr take a walk up the street tomorrow.   Brilliant!
From there Randy, Jill and myself went across the street to my neighbors ( moi in her pj's and robe ) to gather stone from rock walls. That will get your heart pumping.... I shit you not!
The house will be sold.... torn down.... so I was given permission by the youngest in the family who is my Jill's age to take what I want. Randy has already made many trips to Nashua,NH with what he wants and built his rock wall already. Moi is envious..... mine were left in the front yard and I need to clear the area in the back yard where I want them to rest for good. Rome wasn't built in a day......in time I know that help will be given and I'll gladly accept.  Moi could not let some of the plants get bulldozed over. Dug up tulips plus other things and did get the ground dug in my yard and re-planted them.  The cold fresh air felt good. Want the yucca plants, but will need help with that. Main root is deep.....I shit you not!
Now would be a good time to get into some duds to get back outdoors in the crisp air. Moi is already dirty so no better time than now when the air is cool and crisp.  Strong gusts of wind are littering the top of the pool with debris. A reminder to the one that opened the pool early ,why we waited  until June 1st. to open it.
Two hours out there ... don't see much difference for the fruit of my labors.  Like I said before, Rome wasn't built in a day... will keep reminding myself.  Enjoy being out working in the yard. Just don't enjoy the aches in my bones from using muscles moi doesn't use all winter.

Took Lady to the groomers at 4...when I pick her up at 6:30 will bring Ginger to get her nails clipped.
Learned something today.  If you give your dog a flea bath,  you should NOT put BioSpot or any of those other things that you put up at the back of their neck within 30 days.. If you do they are getting a double dose. It gets absorbed through their skin and it could make them very sick or kill them.

Went into the second hand store right beside the groomers. Always do. Never leave empty handed. Moi purchased a doll. A Radio City Rockette doll still in it's box for $3. Why??? For lack of a better reason, she looked like she needed a home. LOL
It's the same size as a Barbie Doll.  In the past I have designed and made many, many gowns for Barbie's. Gave alot to grand daughters...still have plenty boxed away. Got the bug! LOL
Made them with fine crochet thread, beads, sequins, lace, appliques, ribbons, silk flowers, toulle. All that good stuff. Teeny tiny purses, veils, bouquets, robes, sun dresses, faux fur stoles and coats, baby doll pj's and more. Filled 4 Barbie wardrobe chests for each years ago  One wasn't into Barbie's, so she gave it back to me. Wasn't into dolls at all. By the way, what's with these kids ?? Barbie's, no baby dolls.... moi loved her Besty Wetsy and all baby dolls. For a time 3 of them went through the Cabbage Patch craze which had me knitting clothes for them. That was fun. Then it was American Girl Dolls . Those clothes were fun to knit and crochet too. In boxes, stored away are all the teeny tiny buttons, etc. to add to their clothes. All I need to do is find someone who would enjoy making these things as much as I did to give them to. None of my daughters or daughter in laws are into knitting and crocheting. Except for one that is. One daughter in law will crochet a baby blanket.
My cataract surgery 2 years ago was a  piece of cake.  I shit you not!  All that fretting before hand, for naught. No pain, nadda.  Came home and shoveled snow. If I ever get the bug to work with those fine beads again, I'm good to go.
Going for Chinese food with Tracie tonight after the dogs are back from the groomers. She is the one that gave me permission to take the stone from her parents rock wall. . She has adopted me as a surragate mom, moi thinks. Same age as my Jill, been ill since birth ( always in and out of the hospital ) kidney stones keep forming. Never dated to my knowledge. Has her own apartment, but stayed mostly with her mom  after her dad died . Mom was in declining health and she made sure mom took her medications every day and took her places during the day. Hubby is not keen about Tracie coming over often. True..she doesn't know when to go home, but moi don't have the heart to tell her to leave.. So now I'm yawning alot and she finally gets the hint. Asked me the beginning of the week if I'd go eat with her. Earlier when I told hubby i was going out to eat, he said "fine", just don't bring her home with you." Kind of hard not to do, I said.
Her voice is irratating... yes.... sigh!

D D My best friend Nancy....My sister Nancy

Going to be a cool day...more like NE  weather___ 40's...Maybe even  more rain.
Jill took Logan and his classmate to the firestation last night where Butchie works  to work on their project that's due tomorrow. Raining too hard yesterday to spray paint.  Will take a picture of the finished project and post it. Will take the two of them to carry it into school. HEAVY..... I shit you not!
Talked to my best girlfriend Nancy a long time while the house was empty. Just moi and hubby were home....that's EMPTY.
Nancy is 10 days younger than moi and we met in 1966 through our children. At that time she had 6 kids and moi had 7.  This was before we had the spouses we have now.   Sniff, sniff...in 1974 she packed her kids up and went to AK.. she's a pioneer woman all the way. Knows how to gut and cook any wild animal. Shoot a gun, build a log cabin, plants a huge garden, cans food for the winter months. We are such exact opposites and yet the bond we have is like having a twin. For years we have kept in touch through letters , hers were sent to a P.O. BOX as she always lived outside the city. Such was the case maybe 10 years back when she started hemmoraging from an ulcer and it took over an  hours and a half for an ambulance to get there and then the trip to the hospital. Almost died. Now has designed  and helped build a compact house with her hubby, kids and friends... closer to a town.
Since Comcast has offered a package where it includes tv, internet and phone service anywhere in the United States, moi has been taking advantage of the long distance calling.   AK is just a dial away with no long distance fee.   yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.
Her hubby suffered a stoke this past winter that has left his left hand and leg pretty much useless, BUT he did recover his speech.   another ...yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.
As fate would have it, she is now a care giver too.  Ironic!  I shit you not!  Neither of us like driving in inclimate weather any more. She has no choice as they have no kids living with them ( have in past ) and it's a long winding road she has to travel from Houston to Wasilla to his therapy.
In the back of my mind is always the possibilty that someday we will get together in person again. If just for a short visit.... sigh!
My sister's name was Nancy... she passed away from cancer at age 52.  The cancer began in one of her kidneys..they removed that kidney. It spread to her spine, brain  EVERYWHERE.
Years before I had read the book Jean's Way and passed it on to my sister to read. It's about a terminally ill wife's decision to end her life with her husband's help when she felt the time was right.
Days before my sister passed away she reminded me of the pact that we made... It was so long ago that I had forgotten that we both pledged we would help each other die if we were in that same situation.
She struggled to speak and her voice was so weak that I had to lean close to her face." Do you remember our promise to each other", she said. " Will you give me something to help me die." It all came rushing back to me and with tears in my eyes I lied and said yes.  Will that quilt ever go away??? The next time she asked for a sip of water I put the cup to her lips and she said " is it in there?" I shook my head yes, she sipped and sipped and threw it up.  She was on a morphine drip...was she aware that whatever she thought I had put in her water was in there or that was what made her throw??  She would have visions of children being around her... " Who's children are these?", she would ask... I told her they were maybe the children she was going to be watching in Heaven.  Long sighing..."yeah"  with a radiant smile on her face. Nancy had 9 living children, lost 2 baby boys ( one at birth and one 2 hours old ) plus she adopted 2 different daughters babies so that they would remain with family. Yonna was 13 and the youngest when she passed away on our mother's birthday, January 15, 1993.    Nancy loved babies and children.

D D blahs.....blah... stay away from Jennifer Covertables

Raining off and on.  The kind of day that matches my mood.  Nothing specific, just blahs!
Feel like crawling back under the covers, but know the front door will open & the dogs will woof, woof.
Jill is doing the grocery shopping ...gave her the check and list.  Randy is gathering stones across the street. Actually they are much bigger than stones. Walls were made in differnt parts of the yard over there. My male neighbor lived there all his married life and passed away 4 years ago. Mel built those walls. His wife Clara passed away a year ago February at the age of 82 and the house will be sold to be divided amongst the 4 children of that marriage. Most of the houses around here are torn down and a much bigger, nicer, 2 story home is built ... the land is worth more more than the old house. More than likely that will be the fate of mine. sigh! Was told I could have them, so Randy is gathering & loading them on his truck for the 2 of us. Think he's made at least 4 trips over there since yesterday.  Intend to build a not too high wall on the left of the koi pond. Lugged a whole skid of those same type stones ( ledge )  from the driveway out front to the back of the backyard to build that koi pond by my onesy. BUT, moi was much younger then. I shit you not!
A good friend passed away Easter Sunday. She was 9 years older than moi.  I was her only friend. She never learned to drive. Met her through Jill at bingo 23 years ago.  One of her daughters called me the following day to let me know, but she wasn't supposed to call me. Her older half sister told her under no circumstances NOT to call me,  that she would be the one to call me.  Still waiting.for that call  ...I shit you not!
Lorraine knows her mom told me everything and I know of a lawsuit she and only she knows about, except of course MOI . CVS gave my friend the wrong medication which caused her to be rushed to the hospital and she spent 2 weeks there recovering.  Left her with medical problems for life. Lorraine convinced her mother not to tell the other 2 half sisters about the lawsuit as they would be asking for money. The pot calls the kettle black...she herself still owed her mom 15K.  No death notice in the paper.. Colleen said she will be cremated.  No service.  sigh!
Daughter in law Deb has made arrangements for a service for her dad on Mothers Day at the First Congregational Church here in town.. She and her family will be flying up from FL and a sister will come from CA.  Her dad has owned his home a mile from me over 40 years. Spent his winters in St.Petersburg,FL. Will bring his ashes up with them. Each of his 3 children want to scatter his ashes in different places.  Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!  Deb on his mothers grave as he wanted to be buried in the next grave to her and it has been sold. Sister wants to scatter them up on Mt.Washington along with their mothers ashes. The brother wants to scatter them on a golf course as Jim loved playing golf.
His sister has a plan for hers too. Everyone is satisfied with  each others decision.... Makes for NICE.
Moi and hubby purchased their graves plus 6 more in 1977 when hubby's indigent brother a year younger than him passed away suddenly at age 39. Moi has always had a thing with hearts and we had a double heart headstone put on it. Our names and birthdates are engraved on it. When someone asked why I did that, moi would reply " becuase if I don't go in that grave, no one else will. Could have went on a cruise."
My parents are buried there now too.
For many years our insurance companies coverage representative has come to our home. Still does.
George would always tell me I should increase the coverage  I had on my life up from $10,000.
After seeing what  a few people I knew did after their spouse passed away back when...... My quipt to George was " less money he has to take some bimbo on a cruise."   Eventually, over time moi threw caution to the wind and increased it to 25K.    LOL
Have come to terms with " life is for the living."  Still have never gone on a cruise, nor has hubby.
Time changes things.... maybe up until 10 years ago I was always freezing and told loved ones to put a blanket on me in my casket. My hands were so cold that when i went through a receiving line at a wedding I would apologize to whomever I shook hands with. Hubby standing beside me would say,  " she's dead. She just forgot to lay down."  Made for a funny, ha,ha.......
Now I don't need that blanket... no more cold hands.. Still sleep with socks on though. If my feet are cold the rest of me gets cold.   I shit you not!
Ordered and paid in cash on 2/27/10  for a sectional from Jennifer Convertables. On the purchase sheet it states Delivery in 4 to 6 weeks.
Been calling as it's more than 6 weeks and now I am told that it won't be until June7th. Of which year wasn't stated.  grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Cancelled my order 3 days ago and was told I would receive a check in 2 weeks. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... Time will tell.  Noticed today that there was alot of complaints online about this store. Didn't do my homework. Back to the drawing board, when I get my money back... and IF!

D D 2 lost causes and some pic's of Logan, Jessica & Ryu

koi pond

Another unproductive day in my book.  Went to the social security office with kid #4 Randy. Ticket was #34 and they were serving #28. Not bad, not bad compared to past visits there. They had no record of an over-payment , so that visit was a lost cause.  Was told you can't make an agreement to pay the $ back if there is no record of monies overpaid. ( there was, BUT I'm not going to argue it )  From there home in time to take hubby to the chiropractors before the office shut for lunch at noon. This time I made time for myself to be adjusted.  March 26th was the last date I was on that adjustment table. Bad girl! Immediately felt trigger points on my right side when touched.
Moi says to my chiropractor, " Bless me father cause I have sinned.. It's been 2 months since Ive got adjusted. " He laughed and said you're giving your confession to this Jewish chiropractor???
As he pressed on the trigger points to tire them out ( pain, omg pain) " is this my penance.? "I said.  Laughingly, he says yes.    Love my old boss. I shit you not!
Back in the car,  hubby wants to go to the local hardware store to find a replacement part for his Black & Decker Air Station. Has been told by others in the family that they don't carry this part in that particular hardware store.... and maybe there is no replacement part in any store.  We get there and he wants his wheel chair, so moi has to lug it out of the trunk. Store has electric chairs, but he says he don't like them.  NO PART!   Back to the car I push him .. Getting the wheelchair into the car trunk is alot harder than getting it out.   Moi is stuggling away to lift it up into the trunk when this tiny oriental man rushes forward & offers his help.  Thank you, thank you.  Feels like I've undone whatever my adjustment did.
Before Randy left he showed me how to take the thingie from my camera & where to place it in the ? tower....getting frustrated at self .....self swears that people like myself shouldn't be allowed to purchase a computer. A camera either for that matter..... feel so inept and challenged.. I shit you not!
Logan is home from school...it sounds mighty lively in the livingroom. Has 3 or 4 friends in there laughing away at whatever they are doing. Just like girls, they get the giggles.
Jill left 5 1/2 hours ago with Butchie.
Took a much needed nap yesterday before Logan came in at 6.  Woke rested.  Yesssssssssssssssssssssss!

Will post a few pic's.. Yardwork that needs done ( mind you, this is just the back yard ), Logan and friends, Logan swimming length of pool brrrrrrrrrrrrr, Jessica's 4th birthday party, her mother's loving hands made the cake and Ryu chasing chickens him on the bouncy ball.
Charlie hiding in the bushes, ATV rider is my oldest grandchild ( father of Jessica),2 tubs of strawberry plants now are 4. My garden needing to be all re-dug & fertilized.
It is now a good 7 hours Jill has been gone. Socializing last night after work wasn't enough.

D D Wiped out xs 2 Moi and the post

Someone throw a bucket of cold water on me.  Yesterday's galavanting wore me out.  Plus the 50 yard dash before my ride came to clean out under the sink, so work could be done under there... Plus on returning at 6 p.m. all those cleaning supplies had to be put back. Had water pressure in the bathroom, but none in the kitchen...worked out fine for moi showering...lol  The work it entailed I hear, must also be keeping Randy away today too. Left right before my returning home. On the dark side $$ for plumbing stuff ...on the bright side a new faucet , no leaks anywhere and WATER PRESSURE in the kitchen and bathroom.  yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
The MAY FLIES are out in NH.... immune to repellants.... just swarming all around you pains in the asses that at some point in their life BITE! Noticed them swarming around everyone, but moi.  May be a case of moi can see at a distance but not in front of my own eyes.. LOL
Lost my complete post this morning. I shit you not!  Don't know how or why.... sigh!  Went to publish it ...POOF!  I shit you not!
Larry and Sombay brought their grandson Ryu age 2 to the party. Slept on the ride home... worn out from all the activity, chasing chickens, pinata, riding on an ATV with grandpa in front and behind in the cart with other kids. Even the birthday girl didn't want to stop playing to open her presents.
Took pics.. Now I need someone younger than myself to show me how to download them into the computer. LOL  Each time I pick the camera up I have to re-learn what those tiny figures on top are for... Still picture, action picture, ?,?,? ...those ones.  Yesterday moi realized that in order to view pic's just taken one doesn't have to go all thru previous days pic's to view them.   Will need a refresher course when I pick my Kodak Easy Share up again.  Moi needs a CRS ( can't remember shit ) camera for old folks like myself.  I shit you not!
Feel heavier, full and like moi needs a nap. Quiet here.
Got back from the OutBack not too long ago.  Perfect meal & almost a perfect day, except for the lost post.
Made the bed before going out to eat... Hubby is on it and I'm joining him.
