Wow! How time flies when you're not even having fun. 10 a.m. already. Took pictures of Logan with his project indoors and him and his classmate Michael with the project outside as they were taking it to school.
A marble goes from the top, down the nail studded board ( which you can't see ) into one of those pockets marked with 25,50,100 or in the center which has the most score and then down a long tube into a small cup. You raise the cup up and begin again. All made of wood, ppc pipe, nails. Can only wonder what the other students made orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr take a walk up the street tomorrow. Brilliant!
From there Randy, Jill and myself went across the street to my neighbors ( moi in her pj's and robe ) to gather stone from rock walls. That will get your heart pumping.... I shit you not!
The house will be sold.... torn down.... so I was given permission by the youngest in the family who is my Jill's age to take what I want. Randy has already made many trips to Nashua,NH with what he wants and built his rock wall already. Moi is envious..... mine were left in the front yard and I need to clear the area in the back yard where I want them to rest for good. Rome wasn't built in a day......in time I know that help will be given and I'll gladly accept. Moi could not let some of the plants get bulldozed over. Dug up tulips plus other things and did get the ground dug in my yard and re-planted them. The cold fresh air felt good. Want the yucca plants, but will need help with that. Main root is deep.....I shit you not!
Now would be a good time to get into some duds to get back outdoors in the crisp air. Moi is already dirty so no better time than now when the air is cool and crisp. Strong gusts of wind are littering the top of the pool with debris. A reminder to the one that opened the pool early ,why we waited until June 1st. to open it.
Two hours out there ... don't see much difference for the fruit of my labors. Like I said before, Rome wasn't built in a day... will keep reminding myself. Enjoy being out working in the yard. Just don't enjoy the aches in my bones from using muscles moi doesn't use all winter.
Took Lady to the groomers at 4...when I pick her up at 6:30 will bring Ginger to get her nails clipped.
Learned something today. If you give your dog a flea bath, you should NOT put BioSpot or any of those other things that you put up at the back of their neck within 30 days.. If you do they are getting a double dose. It gets absorbed through their skin and it could make them very sick or kill them.
Went into the second hand store right beside the groomers. Always do. Never leave empty handed. Moi purchased a doll. A Radio City Rockette doll still in it's box for $3. Why??? For lack of a better reason, she looked like she needed a home. LOL
It's the same size as a Barbie Doll. In the past I have designed and made many, many gowns for Barbie's. Gave alot to grand daughters...still have plenty boxed away. Got the bug! LOL
Made them with fine crochet thread, beads, sequins, lace, appliques, ribbons, silk flowers, toulle. All that good stuff. Teeny tiny purses, veils, bouquets, robes, sun dresses, faux fur stoles and coats, baby doll pj's and more. Filled 4 Barbie wardrobe chests for each years ago One wasn't into Barbie's, so she gave it back to me. Wasn't into dolls at all. By the way, what's with these kids ?? Barbie's, no baby dolls.... moi loved her Besty Wetsy and all baby dolls. For a time 3 of them went through the Cabbage Patch craze which had me knitting clothes for them. That was fun. Then it was American Girl Dolls . Those clothes were fun to knit and crochet too. In boxes, stored away are all the teeny tiny buttons, etc. to add to their clothes. All I need to do is find someone who would enjoy making these things as much as I did to give them to. None of my daughters or daughter in laws are into knitting and crocheting. Except for one that is. One daughter in law will crochet a baby blanket.
My cataract surgery 2 years ago was a piece of cake. I shit you not! All that fretting before hand, for naught. No pain, nadda. Came home and shoveled snow. If I ever get the bug to work with those fine beads again, I'm good to go.
Going for Chinese food with Tracie tonight after the dogs are back from the groomers. She is the one that gave me permission to take the stone from her parents rock wall. . She has adopted me as a surragate mom, moi thinks. Same age as my Jill, been ill since birth ( always in and out of the hospital ) kidney stones keep forming. Never dated to my knowledge. Has her own apartment, but stayed mostly with her mom after her dad died . Mom was in declining health and she made sure mom took her medications every day and took her places during the day. Hubby is not keen about Tracie coming over often. True..she doesn't know when to go home, but moi don't have the heart to tell her to leave.. So now I'm yawning alot and she finally gets the hint. Asked me the beginning of the week if I'd go eat with her. Earlier when I told hubby i was going out to eat, he said "fine", just don't bring her home with you." Kind of hard not to do, I said.
Her voice is irratating... yes.... sigh!
That's All Folks!
