D D Down and

               UP......Pinch me.....
It's late p.m. Friday.  Jill mowed the front and back yards, edged and weed whacked.  Whoa!!!
Then she hooked up the pool vacuum and cleaned the pool..
Then she proceeded to add water.   The kids lowered the level with their in, out, splashing and whirlpool making.
Questioning what is written below.
Logan has been taught in school to add another comma before the and in that last sentence.  It would read...........splashing, and whirlpool making. That is not what I was taught and doesn't look right to me.
To you ??
It didn't end there. She and Randy took the old delapidated chair and hassock out to the street , she vacuumed the parlor and brought in the wicker deck furniture to use while waiting on the new parlor set.
Pick up date is June 21st.  Sprung it on hubby when he inquired what was going on in the parlor with the tossing out of furniture..

Hubby started to make waves and stopped just as quick. Maybe he is saving his breath for when it comes in the door.
Isn't what I would like.  Brown.... a cheap leather for the price, I am sure.  Sight unseen, oh excuse moi... saw it advertized on tv. Then brought it up online and had Randy go buy it for me in NH to save sales taxes.
What did I expect for $600 ..... something not torn and tattered to sit on that spills can be cleaned off easily.
No choice in color.
It comes in brown and brown and brown.....  orrrrr is that brown, and brown, and brown.
Thinking back now it's hard to believe that in this marriage I have only had that one new parlor set pictured the other day. Purchased in 1993, 1994 or 1995.    CRS moment. We have been together since 1967.
Had one new set eventually after moving out of Navy housing into a house moi and ex #1 bought together in Stanton,CA.  Wow!  That's never hit me before, my mom and dad bought the house next door to us before we bought ours. Her middle name was a family name. Stanton.   Majorie Stanton
Times like these makes me wish I could pick up the phone and call her.sigh!
Beds, mattresses and bureaus were more important back then and still are.  Used parlor sets were never turned away. If one had been offered to me before I purchased this set, I would have gladly taken it.
Had to answer the phone. Cheryl.... telling me about her day with the bird and how exhausting it is to feed it every hour, hour and a half.  Doesn't remember her kids requiring this much of her time as babies.
Now she is pretty sure it is a robin that she sees going to feed the one or more babies inside her attic vent.
Just got off the phone again. Randy. He is sitting in his yard and a chipmunk is coming a few feet away from him . Told me when he gets out of his car the thing lets out a screeching sound and looks at him.
What have I created !!! LMAO
Ring, Ring, Ring.... Randy again.  Telling me how cute the chipmunk is. He put sunflower seeds down and it's eating them. I told him how we always took sunflower seeds with us camping and I would sit a bag between my feet.... they came right up to feed at the table so to speak.    LOL
Have had squirrels turning my door knob to be fed in past years.   Cukoo for cocoa puffs ...cukoo for cocoa puffs ..Looney tunes.
Old Glory

Hung the flag on the flag pole ...once hubby was able to do that...he remembered what day is coming up Monday.  I knew that Monday was Memorial Day but forgot the flag that was washed and stored away since November.
Logan has gone to be with his step brother.  Erzi came with his mom to pick Logan and his friend Kenny up at 4.   She must have got through work earlier than usual today. Oh, forgot that I heard there is something they need to go to at Erzi's school.
Need to think of something to feed us. It's almost 6 p.m. Those egg salad sandwiches we had for lunch only fill you up so long.  I shit you not!
Be back in the morning.

Saturday.
Logan was so upset when he saw his favorite chair out at the street.  So upset that he got a headache.
Kept saying I want my comfy chair back.   Talk about a guilt trip...moi's.

Logan's favorite chair and hassock sigh!!!

Heard the lovebirds come in about an hour after we called it a night.
Woke up various times all night long with some sort of spasming in my upper arms. Had some in my legs too. Don't know what this shit is..........or if it has a medical name.  All I know is the pain wakes me up
8 a.m. came this morning and I had to lay down.    Got hubby his juice and 2 cups of java ....Then .took one of hubby's pain pills. shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
Got 2 wonderful hours of sleep.  yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
Shopped for groceries last night before dark. Was dark when I pulled in the driveway. Tracie saw me and came to help bring the $90 order in. She didn't lock up her parents house so she only stayed a short time.
Think she said she was on her way out to get supper somewhere.
Took this pic before heading off to grocery shop. This was home to Tracie her entire life.

Have a safe day everyone.  Must get my blood circulating and can't do that sitting down.

D D Mother told me

there would be days like this.
    Thurs. p.m.
Cheryl's calls continued all morning . One would be a crisis call and the next would be the bird once again landed in the bucket below the vent.
Dana, her husband just came for the bird formula and syringe that I offered to them. Showed him how thin to mix it with warm water from the tap. Told him to tell her to clean it's beak after each feeding.
He thinks it's a Starling.  Good Luck to them.  If moi finds a bird she, will care for it.
Kept a can of bird powered formula in my fridge for the past 4 years now...just in case.  Maybe I should give them and the syringe as Christmas gifts.... ya think!
Someone else needs to learn these life saving methods ...to carry on when I am gone.
Ordered a tall cage for flying squirrels online earlier.  This hampster/rat cage is not roomy enough for a squirrel.  You knew I would....didn't you.  LOL
A trip to Petco will be my next expense.  The online store doesn't show enough of their supplies.
Need calcium, things to chew and a mineral block for starters.
More phone calls regarding the baby bird. Dana was on the line last time. Wanted to know how often to feed it and told me it took down a few swallows of food.
It's definately a hardy bird species, whatever it is.

It's a little after 6 p.m.  Kids have been in and out of the pool since school let out for the day.
Kids can't be in a pool without causing someone to be unhappy. Pushing, whacking with those noodles, wanting a squirtgun or tube that someone has and trying to wrest it away.  .
We have pool rules, but these kids have to be constantly reminded.
There are more kids than pool toys.
The yellow weapon ...culprit Jonathan...his excuse " it was an accident.'    NOT!

Jill has gone to get Chinese food for the four of us.  Hopefully these other kids have eaten their supper by now.
Grandson Gil came with his friend Taylor to visit with his mom awhile. He's out of his first semester of college until September. Wanted to start in January, but his dad had other plans for him that he needed taking care of while he was away in college in MS.  Now of course, he himself is in Mexico for extra credit..
His wife is joining him in a few days for a week.
Looked in on him on Facebook and saw the grand old time he is having in Mexico...lot's of partying going on.  Been hitting the bar scenes with his friends there.
His motto was and probably still is, " My way or the highway."
Maybe he should change it to, hooray for me, to hell with everyone else.
It's always been me, me, me.
Onward to better things.....our bellies are full...Logan is watching tv with his mother in her room, we are watching So You Think You Can Dance.
Jill put her pj's on after supper.  Going to be a good night in our house..
See you in the morning.    g'nite.

7:18 a.m.
Cheryl called minutes ago to tell me the bird made it through the night.
Glad hubby was awake as the phone ringing before he is awake makes him UGLY.
She gave me alot of details on how it is doing and I told her to make sure he is wiped clean of bird formula with warm water after each feeding. That darn stuff dries crusty.
She told me that she commented to her hubby Dana that it was too bad they weren't birds. Could have thrown all 4 of their kids out of the nest.  Was good for a laugh.
Hubby and I use to comment to each other that we were going to buy a motor home and scram when the kids were grown. If they ever found us we were going to send them to the store for a loaf of bread and screw.  It was always good for a laugh from us....tension breaker of sorts.

The lilacs, red and white honeysuckles are fragrant. The scents waft in the air when you walk around the yard.
Still waiting for a hummingbird to appear at the feeder....  sigh.     Boiling  4 cups of water and adding 1 cup of sugar to it, then stirring until the sugar is disolved. Think that's the right ratio. Never had any luck with those pre made mixes you can buy. Some years a few hummingbirds show, others none.... sigh

Need to get out and get the makings for macaroni salad to take to kid #8 Michael's cook out Sunday.
Plan A .... We will attend.
Plan B....  We will send the salad with someone if hubby isn't up to going.

Had to take a break and pick up dog poo.  Jill started the lawn mower and began mowing the front yard. That was my cue to get everything off the back lawn.
Found Charlie curled up comfy on the air cushion in the shed....feels cool in there.
Maybe I'll remember to carry my camera with me the next time.

Need to get some get up and go....for a long time it's got up and went..
Won't find it here sitting at the computer.
Jill is edging now....my cue to go out and get the grass off the cement walk around the pool.
Have broom, will travel...lol
Did I tell you that my birth place is Salem,MA   ....the Witch City... I shit you not!

D D I won't tell if you won't

that it's illegal to keep a squirrel.
If they are injured or not able to be returned to the wild for another reason you are supposed to euthanize them.
Tell me that you could kill this cute thing. Not I...    I shit you not!
Trying to get her to stay still is a loosing battle.
Kids have been in swimming....go off on their bikes...come back and put their head in the pool...take off again.  A few of them joined Logan for spaghetti plates and lemonade that Jill fixed for them.
She set the table for and made spaghetti for us and Butch and Alexandra  while the kids were off on one of their rides. Even took hubby to the chiropractor at 3p.m. so that I could change my sheets without rushing.
Butch just took Alex home....Jill got a call from kid #9 Michelle and her husband to join them at the Moose.
Moi forgot the meat drawing is tonight. Told her I'll wait until next week.
Don't want to leave this A/C.. it's brutal out there.
I spy dark clouds above....rainnnnnnnnnnnnnn would be welcome. Had to water flower beds and the garden thoroughly at noon.  Things were drooping.
It's 6:30p.m....started the pool pump, added chlorine and puttered a little. Sweat is just about to run into my eye.
Humid, humid, humid.   Thankfully we don't get many humid days in the summer....watch this year be different, just like Spring was early.
Nite, nite.

Morning arrived in my house 6:45a.m.ish.   TV is turned on.
Let there be NOISE !
Don't know what time Jill came home...called me close to 8 last night to see if I changed my mind about going to the meat raffle and Jackpot game.
Her son Ryan and his wife Sarah came to swim.   Fell in love with Red.
Moi added a hammock to her cage and she made a nest with  tissue paper. Now she is putting food in it.
Didn't get to finish that last sentence....the phone rang. Kid#5 Cheryl. A baby bird that is featherless fell out of the attic vent at the top of her 2 story home.  She was in tears as she don't know what to do for it.
Can't stand to see it die.    Do you think some of her mother is in her????
Mom didn't offer to take it...............have the stuff here to feed it, but it has been over 12 hours and from what she described it doesn't sound like it can be saved.  It's a good 10 mile drive from me.
She is going to borrow a ladder and try to put it back in the nest in her attic vent. Can't get to the nest from the inside of the attic.
Showered off and on for awhile last night. Lightning, thunder......and boy did it cool down. Better yet, no humidity and I get a break from watering today.
The weatherman was right this time.  Off went the A/C.  I shit you not!
Doors and windows are open....fresh air..yessssssssssssssssssss.
Her landlord came home and used his truck and ladder to get the bird back up in the vent area. He had another man with him that commented " what's the big deal...birds die every day." Cher told him, " so do people."
Since then it has fallen out again into the basket with her sons winter coat in it to make a soft landing for it.
She somehow herself got a pole and what was described to me as her putting it in a toilet paper roll with ? and ? and managed to get it back in herself. Each time she calls she is more hysterical and I sympathize with her.    Been there...done that.
Offered earlier to give her the powdered formula, feeding syringe and cage that I have here.
Her words,.... I can't keep up with my housework, every room except mine is a mess, my kids do nothing to help me, I'm over-whelmed.                 Geez, I know that feeling.  Like join the club.
Her hubby went to work, 2 of her kids are in school ... Her son, my grandson that will be 27 in July just went back to bed.  Noooo,  he doesn't work the grave yard shift.... he doesn't work.
For that matter, Jill has eaten and gone back to bed too.  Works mostly weekends, but not every weekend.
Yup, like mother, like daughter.....we are enablers.   Ugly connatation that word carries.
BUT, if the shoe fits.......wear it!
If I don't get off my arse , I will fall asleep where I am sitting.
That's All Folks!

D D Sum, Sum,Summertime

 Tuesday.....5-25-2010
I'll be darned....got a nap in today... Much needed one as it was midnight before I fell asleep...awoke at 5:30 a.m.    Will be able to stay awake to watch the finale of Dancing With The Stars with that nap under my belt.

Kids have been coming since Logan got out of school.  First to see Red ....they were totally amazed.
Each one had a turn at pretending to be a tree. Red don't sit still, even for a second....... ...  up, down, around, over and an occasional leap to another warm body that was close enough.     Found Logan's T shirt pocket and curled up in it.
He snapped a shot with his cell phone to show his friends in school.
Alexandra
lft to rt Logan ,Kenny,Ryan

The pool is brimming with kids. 93 degrees ...high humidity..  Some kids have never been inside this house... until today. Some still haven't been.
Butchie has his daughter Alexandra here....they too are in the pool . Her to enjoy herself and him to put the pool liner lock back in the alloted slot that has pulled out from the weight of the ice this winter.
Jill is making hot dogs....then hamburgers, then chicken and fixings.  Going to try to fill some of his friends up with the dogs and burgers.... then we eat.

Tracie just came over.............................sigh!     That makes 3 days in a row.
Jill fixed her a plate of BBQ chicken legs.
She made some remark about all the kids being here and Jill told her Logan always has friends here just more  in the summer...that she rather be able to supervise her son here than have him somewhere else.
Tracie never had kids, but she has her own ideas about how kids should be raised.
She also told Jill she should be making kool-aid for his friends instead of giving them soda or bottled water. Our town water and kool-aid are cheaper to pass out, she said. Well, that was after she said to Jill that she would only give the kids one tonic a week. Jill said I couldn't have some kid here 3 hours and only give my son tonic. She and Jill are the same age. Tracie was born the 2nd of September and Jill the 10th in 1961.
Randy picked the tonic up for me in NH at WalMart for $5 a case.
Jill will listen to Tracie for just so long and then get snappy.
While kids have lived in this house , it's always been open to their friends. Mine even brought some friends home for our Easter dinner years ago as their parents went on a trip. They were teenagers , as was some of mine.
As Jill was starting to prepare supper she commented to me that she stopped at the Chinese restaurant down the road a few miles earlier and told the bartender she knows to make it a GOOD rum and coke.  That must mean ....extra booze in it, moi assumes.
Geez, maybe I need a stiff drink the minute I wake up every day.... instead of coffee. I shit you not!
Just knew that this day would have some bumps in it before it was over..... sigh!
Okay..hubby is starting to get nasty about Tracie being here again.  Going to tell her to go the Fuck home he says.   Keep her the hell away from me.............................so out I go to sit with her at the kitchen table while she ate.  Then I steer her out the parlor french door to the deck. Butch , Jill and Alexandra are sitting there and Logan and some  of his friends are back in the pool.  Would rather have been inside but have to keep the peace.

It is now 8 p.m.  His last friend left 15  minutes ago and so did Tracie.  Had to tell her that Mike was in a bad mood as I didn't want her embarrassed. "With all these kids here all the time, I don't blame him"...she says.  How can I tell her that it's she and her voice.     Tracie seeks adult conversation. Likes being around people she has known most if not all of her life.   Unlike Jill, who gets her adult conversation in a bar.
Through the years she has picked up and driven many widows in this neighborhood out to eat. Most if not all have passed away...she still remembers their favorites on the menu. Visited them in nursing homes and taken them for drives.
Maybe moi will need a Tracie in her life down the road someday.
Many times in the past year she has asked me to join her in eating at a restaurant or to go to an ice cream stand.  Have accepted four or five times now...maybe more. Has offered to drive me where I need to go on bad weather days if Jill isn't around to take me.
It's just her loud piercing voice that is a turn off.  In the middle of a crowd talking,  you could pick her out.
She even buys things on sale and puts them away to donate for the poor kids at Christmas. Remembers her parents making a nice Christmas for her and her 3 siblings and says all kids should have a good Christmas.
I couldn't agree more...found a size 12 boys long sleeved shirt for a dollar the other day and gave it to her. It's the kind Logan wears, but the wrong size.
She has been ringing this doorbell since she was a tiny kid.  Hubby, his ex and their two kids lived here back then.
Logan picked the first strawberry to ripen , then cut a slice for Red... loves it.
We pretty much are all in agreement that it appears to be female.
American Idol is on.. will put some pj's on, fold clothes when the dryer stops and listen to the tv with my good ear....lol
See you in the morning.

8 a.m. was officially morning in this household.  Hubby woke..... Jill, Logan & I were awake long before then. The ferrets got play time out from their cage...will let them out again later while the cage gets cleaned...by moi. .. Red got some attention too and fresh food and water. She is partial to the Pedigree puppy dog kibbles. All 7 were gone from her cage.   Put cage litter ( re-cycled paper ) on the WalMart list.
Using paper towel for her to pee on now.
Am beginning to realize that kids and household ( not so household too... lol  ) pets will always be a part of my life. Began married life with hand me downs and what I called Early Distress... Most probably will leave this world the same way. Had a taste of all new furniture for 3 or 4 years. Hubby always said , " what do you want..new furniture or your grandkids."   Looks like the grandkids won over the furniture in the end.
Maybe these are my Golden Years afterall.     Logan' s step brother Erzi spent time here ( even over nights ) last summer and kid# 8 and 9 have half brothers and a sister  that spent time in the pool when they were kids.  His brother Gil had all his friends here...now that he drives, they head to the ocean where the GIRLS are. LOL  Ryan and his wife still come and once in awhile they have their friends and her parents and grown brothers here for a cookout and swim. Ten years ago they were the ages of Logan and his friends and swam here when Ryan and Sarah would bring them from Lowell...just 7 miles or so away.
Ryan always had his friends here ..Lived here from age 1 to 9.  Then  at age 18 to 20.
Larry Jr my oldest grandson ( 37 next month ) lived here from birth to age 3.
Terry and Deb's and their 2 sons lived with us for a few months when they were toddlers.
My mom and dad lived with us when they passed away...... one small house with big hearts.  It's just the other crap that gets dished out to me that is upsetting.
Back in 1976 when hubby and friends installed the pool it had a diving board, slide and was 8 1/2 feet at the deep end.  Due to my kids horsing around, when the liner needed replacing 15 or so years later, hubby and I filled in the deep end and removed the diving board when we replaced the liner ourselves.
Last year the pool needed a new liner and Butchie,Randy and Jill put the new liner in and removed the slide.
Now it's all one depth and the kids just get to swim and cool off in it.  Ryan's friends and extended family  play pool volley ball once in awhile.
Jill told me two days ago she was planning on having a cook-out Sunday.  Since then we have an invite to kid #8's in Merrimack,NH to his cookout.   yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssss  We use to pitch a tent on the land he built his house on....The gushing falls of a river just one street away can still be heard ..it's.still a wooded area too. Have only been to see his new home one time.
We don't get around much....most of the kids have stairs that hubby can't manage. Michael's last house, his apartment was on the second floor and hubby went up and down on his butt the few times we attended a birthday or christening party.
Need to begin plugging away in some room and start more laundry.
Told Jill today that most days my eyes were drawn to where the pet rage cage has sat for 6 years and it felt strange not seeing it there.  Hahaha ..It's BACK!  Squirrels are in the rat family.
Things have come full circle again.
Awwwwwwwwwwww shit !    ...forgot that stiff drink this morning.
That's All Folks!

The poppies are gorgeous. Couldn't resist taking a picture of them and the 2 ripe strawberries.

D D Seeing Red.. lol .my name is Daffy

The afore mentioned AFTER pictures.....The chair and hassock are Jill's. She took her set out of storage after my set had seen better days.  These last two pieces are ready to be trashed.  Computer chairs are mine. Logan's wrestling ring and wrestlers.  Paint and paint supplies upper left corner.  Got a call from Jennifer Convertables yesterday that my new parlor furniture will be ready to pick up June21st. How's that for a promised delivery date of in 4 to 6 weeks.  Feb28 to June 21st. Doesn't add up correctly in my book. Blue bin with beach towels...3 more bins piled up on far left near french door with Logan's toys. The ferrets cage. A bar stool Butchie made...why we came into possession of it is unknown to me. The brass and glass shelving use to hold nick nacks, etc.  Became Logan's game and toy shelving.. Now it's some board games and a tool box of Logan's plus critter supply shelving.
......   8:34 a.m. Monday.  Showered, dressed and waiting for Randy to come....
Apparently moi wasn't the only one who's morning started off wrong.   Butchie told me his ex girlfriend ( mother of his child ) called him and woke him at 7 a.m. to tell him she was having trouble getting their 6 year old daughter to take a shower for school.
Now how would I have handled that????  hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
What a glorious day outside.  Sun shining brightly.  The rain never materialized. Did some watering of the newly planted stuff last evening.  yesssssssssssssssss  Just heard the weatherman on tv say that tomorrow will be close to 90.
After school the pool will be busy.
.  More poppies are blooming. Grabbed my camera and took a picture.
8:45 now.  Randy drives like he is evading  the police and all I do the entire ride is ask him over and over why he has to drive so fast. You have all the time in the world, you have no one waiting at home, you don't want to get a ticket, you have no meter in your truck like a UPS driver has, etc.,  etc. , etc.
Looks like no matter what time he comes now we won't be the first in line or close to it. Oh well, no schedule here either.
Maybe he has changed his mind again.  : 0 )  One can hope, can't they.

Jill was feeling no pain last night.... her speech was like her mouth had been injected with novacaine.
Surely wasn't drinking a PLAIN coke between each rum and coke as her mother has suggested to her.
Do kids ever listen to anything you say???  Dumb question ???
My mother's voice, speaks to me.    Little kids, little problems....big kids, big problems!  How true mom, how true.  Today would have been her 74th anniversary. Lived to see her 50th...had no picnic in her life either with my alkie dad.

Hubby didn't continue his UGLY .............didn't even explode when he got my answer to why I was showered and dressed so early.  Why is it that some men can't speak without using that F word to relate how pissed off or unhappy they are? For that matter,  it's used even in general conversation.  geesh!
Brings to the front in my mind the 1st ex.  He was the worst abuser of that word.   One day moi got mighty brazen.  To relate my dismay, I faced him and said, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck.  Don't know what stunned me the most. The fact that that word came out of my mouth or the slap he gave me across the face. I shit you not!
Moi firmly believes that once words are spoken in anger, they can't be taken back. EVER!  So she never says things in anger.  Just keeps it inside... May forgive, but don't forget.

The sun was so brilliant the poppies look orange in the picture.

9 a.m. and still waiting for Randy to come.... sigh

He showed at 9:30...reason..traffic coming into MA from NH is way too backed up early morning.
So off we go and as I turned to face him warning bells in me alarmed. Wasn't wearing his seat belt. I asked where it was...He points to his drivers side door where it is.  I shit you not!  Ma, I'm  only doing such and such miles per hour. Do you think anyone can see if I have my seatbelt on..Points to this car and that car asking me if I can see if those people had theirs on. Had a point because I couldn't.  He points out to me that he has an air bag.  I told him that they pack a hellofa whack in a slow speed accident.  lmao at this statement he made..." you know why they have air bags in cars now...because the ambulance drivers are too lazy to look out in the field for you."  Hope he was jesting with me...I shit you not!
So now it's the social security office.... take my choice of an A B or C ticket... The A being for none of the other choices.. That be moi. A25.... The windows are  waiting on A16, B232 and C 357.
Okay so I'm just 9 people away from being at the window to explain my problem.
In 30 minutes it went from A16 to A22...Then it skipped to A27.
I shit you not!  A bunch of us head up to the window to complain after some man gets waited on with #A27.  We were told the machine was  faulty when our problem of standing there looking perplexed ( pissed off? ) was addressed.   Finally get my turn up there.  Tried to explain how I was there Friday and requested termination of SSI and now I'm here to request it being re instated.  Was asked why I changed my mind.and could she please have our s.s.#'s and my drivers license.  Hoped I had Randy's S.S.# still in my check book.  . By this time, moi  was shaking and apologized for the fumbling thru my check book while trying to remember my own S.S.#....Had to find my social security card to give her my number. I shit you not!
She says, I remember you and that's unusual because I see so many people a day. Told her I didn't remember her and apologized. Her voice was familiar, but not her face.  sigh !
Okay    next question... why have I changed my mind..........a  mix up ....I thought he was moving to FL and he's not.   She re-instated it. Said she didn't think we had to fill out any paperwork...the 3rd of June will determine if it's re-instated when the mailman brings my mail.
In one way moi was glad she wasn't driving. Had those damned old person nervous shakes.
Now we head towards home.... moi didn't go the seat belt route this time..
Told him one time he was tailgating.  Another time my hands flew to cover my eyes when a wide long type of delivery truck was coming towards us and there were cars parked on both sides of the street. Phew! Made it by....
He's saying I am going to jinx him.  To be funny I said " at least I'm not a back seat driver". He laughed and said no, I was a front seat back seat driver.
Back home...he says where are these plants you want from across the street. Walked in back of Tracie's parents house and showed him the hosta's.  He proceeded to get the wheel barrel and shovel.
Now I show him where I want a hole dug to place the first one. That dug, he proceeds to put the plant in. Wrong side facing , I tell him. He turned it around.   There isn't really a wrong side of a hosta. One side just looked prettier. LOL  Had to mark out where I wanted the second and third. They are in the holes.
Moi watered the roots good and once the sun is away from that area and I'm ready to get dirty, I will fill dirt around them and water again.  The sweat was pouring off me just being in the heat and  humidty.
Must say Randy does have patience with me. Him with the anxiety and every other kind of DX relating to the minds lack of a chemical.   Never swore or acted mad.

Oh my gawd, Oh my gawd,oh my gawd !
Kid # 2 called me. Larry.............ma, I have something that has your name on it.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm could that be SUCKER ??????
It's a baby red squirrel....the cutest darn thing... Loves people. Before Larry brought it here,  Logan said, " nana, I don't think we are into squirrels. "
Another mouth to feed...Poor House here I come. LOL
The pet rat cage was taken out of retirement and all the goodies that were never used . It was busy jumping from me to Logan to Jill to Butchie. Loves the wheel and it actually plays with the few toys moi borrowed from the ferrets.  They have so much,  they will never miss them. LOL
Logan finally decided on a name for it.  Red.......if I know Logan he'll think of a few more names before it's final. ....  He has definately changed his mind about this house being into squirrels.
It don't bite, so that makes it a keeper.
The last squirrel I had was a baby needing to be bottle fed. Took it to work with me every day to feed it every few hours. The bottles can stay in retirement. This one is weaned.... yesssssssssssssssssssssssss
Moi needs to see if she can tell it's sex.  Naw, Red is good for either sex. Introducing Red ....Ta Da!

   It's Tuesday morning.

Logan had a blast playing with Red before he left for school.
Jill just turned the A/C on ...going to be a  hot, humid day....Hubby doesn't  like A/C... sigh!
Wishing you and myself a great day my friends. See you tomorrow.
Where is my head at???  I'm back to having another cage to clean daily.

D D make my new address

in the middle of a forest in East Bumfuck with no phone or address.
Randy called this morning while I was doing a few things in the yard.
You won't believe it ! Wants to re-open his SSI claim..The one I just closed Friday. I shit you not!
He has given it thought says he...  decided how he will handle the prescription dilema.
He gets his prescriptions every 3 months so his intentions are to have the doctors, etc., he goes to send the bills to his address. Then he will take them down to ? and when they see how high they are, they will ?...
Moi did not understand one thing and know better than to have him explain it again. Only gets more confusing.
So...  that means bright and early before the social security opens  tomorrow.we will be waiting to get in.
Can you hear me screaming.????????

Next time the phone rings I'm on the throne.  No one answers it.  Peed and rushed out to grab the phone.  Cheryl.    Jill isn't speaking to her and vise versa., so she doesn't answer the phone for her. Why hubby didn't answer it ????  Didn't ask...  Called me to tell me she saw a bird unlike others she has seen. Moi gave her bird feeders.  She's another softy for critters.  This bird was black with red on it's chest.
Searched on the internet, can't find a thing that would resemble what she saw...unless it's a robin ... could be.... Moi is not trying to tell you that some of her kids aren't playing with a full deck, BUT.....
when she was somewhere in her late 20's she applied to be a foster mother to a teenage girl she chummed around with..
She brought the forms she filled out over for me to look over.
They asked for a thumb print sketch of herself.....can you guess where I am going with thsi????
She traced her thumb and drew curls and a face on it.   I Shit you not!
It was cute, I must say.        hahhahahahaaaaaaaaaaa
soooooo anyway the conversation turns to soil to use in big tubs to grow tomatoes in and maybe I explained enough why her last years plants floated....Miracle Grow potting soil wasn't firm enough to drain well.
Wanted to know if I minded her taking her yard swing back now that she has a yard for it. Told her no problem... didn't know it wasn't a keeper and just bought a cushion for it. Oh well.  This ones awning was in her trash, so we kept it under a huge blue spruce tree out front.
Daughter in law in FL had always wanted to buy me one .   Admired one when we were together some years back.  Turned her down.  WalMart has em....  Randy has a truck....no problemo, if I miss it.
Some day moi will tell you how she and her hubby went from being sudden millionaires to paupers in just a few short years.  sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Put fresh sheets on the bed while hubby showered.  Fed, cleaned and played with the ferrets, doing laundry and general pick up.  If moi don't do things they don't get done. That's pretty much it the majority of the time.
Jill and Butchie went off somewhere.  He is working overtime from 3-11 today....that means she will be in a bar meantime until he gets off duty and catches up with her.
After we get back from eating in a few hours I'll drag out the vacuum and hit the parlor.  It is depressing to look at with things helter skelter and the rug dirty..Just as much so as when it is tidyed up, but .........
Tell you what....I'll post a picture of what the livingroom was like 11 years ago and what it looks like now.
You tell me if I'm complaining for nothing. Moi realizes that she had 3 kids ages 18,9 and 1 when she moved in with us, but it was only supposed to be temporary.. Ex didn't pay her share of the home they bought together for a long time after. Most of that her divorce attorney got and child support is just about non existant. Not my fault!  Just because she doesn't want any more court fights....Hope he gets kidnapped in Mexico.... did I just say that?   LMAO

 Found this sanpshot

Tomrrow before I post this ............after a vacuum job even.... the AFTER picture.

Back from the OutBack at 3.. Jill was pulling out as we were pulling in.  Asked her a stupid question,  " are you taking off?"  "For a few hours ," she replied.  We napped.  Just after 5 the doorbell rings. Mary..................... just driving around.   Put $20 in my tank yesterday and another $20 today she says. Asks me if I wear sweatshirts. Come out to my car with me she says..so I do.  Someone was closing their buisiness and gave her alot of sweatshirts. Tells me her kids say those are old lady shirts.  You know the type you find at flea markets with different breeds of dogs on them. Gave me four.  Her car is dangerously close to being where your vision is obstructed. I shit you not!
Numerous times she would say...."you aren't going to throw them out, are you?"
Assured her repeatedly that I wouldn't. Again, all of a sudden she says " I have to go and heads towards the door." Said my goodbyes and headed back to the computer. Ding dong.....ding dong.  Mary wanting to know if I'd like the T shirt she held out to me.. sure.  off she heads to her car again.  Ding, dong...Ding dong.
Holds out 3 more to me showing what the pictures are of.. Had to assure her again that they wouldn't be thrown out.
If I'm wearing some of the clothes that Tracie gave me of her mothers.....moi will wear these.
Something makes me think she will expect to see me wearing these t shirts this summer when she pops in..same this winter.  Lets see.....she gave me four of each....4 days of changes...that's do-able.
Nothing has changed  in the past 40 years...moi hardly got a word in edgewise.
Can't wait for tomorrow morning to get here....................argh!    My anxiety level rises thinking of it.
Found myself in the parlor around 6.... sacking up all the puppy dog food kid #9 left. Feel guilty feeding it to the skunks when an animal shelter could use them. There were 42 cans of puppy food all in pastic bags.
Put them in 2 cloth shopping bags.  Four boxes of puppy milk bones and 1 sack of  Pedigree dry food sitting there still.  Opened the other bag and the skunks have been chowing it down.  Put 3 of Logan's zip down the front sweatshirts that were folded on a chair into his room. Drug the vac in there.
Ding dong..................Tracie.     Hubby starts making waves..." keep her out there".
Noticed later on it was almost dark out, so excused myself to go shut the pool pump off.
She came in our bed room....it's never been off limits to her as that's where hubby is most of the time and I am a close second.  He is watching the Brooks and Dunn Tribute.... Was an awesome show.  She got loud during a commercial and he yelled that he turned the tv up to hear it.....Ut Oh!  He sounded very ugly....we both went silent.
10 o'clock she went home. sighhhhhhhh !  Oh, fogot ...she brought me over a cute Precious Moment thing for my yard. Got it in her travels today.   andddddddddddddddddddddddddd she told me she is about to rent a third storage unit..  I shit you not !  She has been served notice that her apartment will be checked out and needs to get some things out of there.  She is in subsidized housing and they do those checks every so often. Like maybe once a year....sad.
Jill just came in..It's 10:35 .......................few hours......hmmmmmmmmmm 3 to 10:35p.m.  okay, yup that's a few in some people's book.   Not mine.
Going to get in my pj's and call it a night.  If tomorrow comes for me , I'll have another winner of a day.
Monday...it's another winner of a day.  Woke hubby at 7:30 typing a comment to T---n.
"What the fuck are you doing" ... so while he's in the bathroom I will post this and post that AFTER picture of the parlor tomorrow.

D D Ta Da ! Tootin my own horn

Half a Ta Da !  The tomatoes are planted.

Cukes are on the other end.

A young clematis

Finally have the pond area free of things that don't belong there.
Come sit on the bench with me.
The yard looks better than the inside of my house.  I shit you not!
Charlie took a nice long nap in the shed...A longer nap than we did after lunch. Every time moi passed by the open door he would raise his head up, look and drop it back down.    Sorry Charlie
7 p.m. Worked another 3 hours after I posted.  Moi was the grubbiest she has been this year.   The shower never felt so good.  yessssssssssssssssssssssss Soap and water !
My body aches..............................I'm walking like a Neanderthal
Every year moi thinks....maybe this is the last year that she will be able to do this kind of labor.
The back yard isn't finshed by a long shot.  2 sides to go. Then there is the front yard.
Calgon Take Me Away!
Hubby and I ate a bowl of wheaties for supper... Yummy.
Too damned tired to cook. Made hot dogs for lunch.   I'm a big deal.   ha ha
Sitting here in my shorty pj's... cool and comfy.
Jill went to work at 3 ...delivering orders for parties.
Hoping we have a quiet night. Tracie called at 9:30 last night asking if it was too late to come over. Asked if we were in bed.  Okay................     I lied... hang me!
Ten to one she will come across the street later tonight. She was going to a craft fair today.... after she wakes  up in the p.m.   She's like a newborn baby...has her days and nights mixed up.
Sooooooooooooooo ....looking at the amount of plant hanging pots stored away in the shed....moi thinks more posies are in order.... LOL
My idea of the ideal place to live would be in a natural woodland setting.  Woods on all sides, a pond or lake on that one open side, Jack In The Pulpits, Lady Slippers and other woodsy plants growing. I'd even settle for a brook running through the property. Love the sound of running water.   Large windows in every room to see the wildlife and enjoy the view.    Serenity at it's best.  sigh!! .  Oh ....make that a one bedroom with a fold out couch for COMPANY.....lol
Will post this tomorrow .
That would be Sunday. Dinner at the OutBack Day.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh , Morning has dawned. It's after 7 and moi is the only one awake.
Saw Charlie's dirty dish in the sink, so Jill did feed Charlie this morning sometime.
Went around this morning covering pots and buckets of dirt over. No sun and it looks like rain. Weatherman says afternoon showers.  We know how accurate they are......don't we?
Had a nice evning...........just the two of us.  Hope yours was a good evening  too.
Feeling less sore this morning.  Moi is a morning person. Hubby needs to wake up before my energy level begins to fizzle.
This is the motif moi designed. Need my head examined. Can make 3 or more afghans in the time it will take to make this one.  Good a time as any to go plug away at it.
