I never should have gone there.
He gave his wife Kim so much grief because she didn't bring him a cigarette.
Would not keep the oxygen mask on. Wanted fresh air. Wanted a fan.
At home he sleeps with a window open and a fan.
When his B/P was taken it read 153/115. Pulse was well over 100 and he was told to take deep breaths with the oxygen mask on and only then did it move from 84 to 92. Normal is in the 95 to 100 range.
The only good thing was alot of his swelling has gone down and his weight went from 309 to 284.
Dang...I want to get in that hospital bed and lose weight. ;0)
I could use a pill to reduce fat cells .....wishful thinking on my part.
He says to Kim, " do I have to wear this mask when I leave here and do I have to quit smoking....because if I do I AM DONE. I may as well be dead. I'm not doing it...Ive got nothing to live for."
I had to keep leaving the room.
He thought he had eaten lunch when Kim asked if he had. We arrived just before twelve. After a few minutes of talking about if it was both breakfast and lunch he had eaten, he realized he didn't eat lunch yet.
Kim says the doctor told her his confusion is due to the low oxygen his brain is getting.
He was telling other staff that he wanted to talk to his doctor. The doctor should know by now what's wrong with me, blah, blah, blah.
He was threatening to leave and go live with the homeless people under a bridge not far from where they live .
When his lunch came and she spied a package of salt and tried to take it without him noticing , but he caught her and he let her know under no uncertain terms he was pissed .
One of the times we walked out of his room a staff person had gone in his room and taken his supper order.
Kim asked him what he had ordered for supper. He said he didn't know, but if he was showed the food slip he would know. Of course they take that with them and it only returns on your supper tray.
Within minutes he had forgot what he ordered for supper.sigh!
When it came time for us to leave and I leaned over him to hug and kiss him, I told him that parents were not supposed to bury their children and asked him how I could go on vacation knowing he was killing himself if he didn't follow the doctors orders.
We held each other. Both crying ........ him telling me to go...me trying to reason with him and asking him how he thought Mike felt at times. He has even less to look forward to than you do, I told him .
. Tried to tell him that we all needed him even if he didn't want to be here.
As Kim and I left, I asked her when they would put a fresh cigarette patch on him.
It was then she told me had none on.
HE HAD REFUSED IT and they can't make you wear it.
OMG! He is a glutton for punishment! I shit you not!
I had seen a patch on his back...Asked her...That was a blood pressure patch I was told. sigh!
Kim called while I was out with Tracie trudging all over the Rockingham Mall to let us know he will be in the hospital until Monday or Tuesday his doctor said. .
I was so tired in mind, body and spirit, but I let Tracie talk me into going to the Mall with her so she could buy a pair of shoes she saw in another Mall that didn't have her size.
This was nothing like going to a Walmart. I SHIT YOU NOT!
Every store window was decorated invitingly and poinsetta plants were adorning the inside walkways everywhere.
Where do they go after today? To the dump? They were still so beautiful.
At closing time they should hand each employee a plant to take home if they don't already.
Much too much beauty to just get thrown in a dumpster. sigh!
We walked from one end to the other end in and out of stores on the upper level.
We must have spent an hour in Hello Kitty. :0) then ................:0(
Never have I seen such things. I must live in a CAVE or in a bedroom with an invalid. I shit you not!
The cutest darn things for little and big girls in that store.
Every so often Tracie would say...come look at this. When I had had enough I said, " I don't want to look at anything else."
"I'm sorry", she said. Another store we stopped in was the Disney Store. Again....such eye candy!
I wanted a little kid by then. Preferrably a little girl. ;0)
Saw a cute little jacket for an infnt boy with the Mickey Mouse ears on the hood. On sale for $12.98. SOLD!
The Beagles were Logan's gifts. The big one plays I'm Getting Nuttin For Christmas and the lights flash..
That's the closest he is getting to owning a Beagle at this time.
I have made up baby girl boxes and baby boy boxes. Ain't I smart???? Did I hear DAFFY ;0)
What do you call this kind of shopping and storing away ???
Fruitcake...........making a gift bag for a great grand some time off in the future ??
Only 6 of my 19 grandchildren are parents. I apologize............ ;0)
Finally we are at the shoe store called Walkings. omg, omg, omg.
Shoes ranging from ON SALE to in the hundreds of dollars. Some of those shoes looked divine to wear. Comfy looking as well.
Gorgeous leathers and materials and mind boggling prices.
Even comfy looking slippers were $50 and higher.
( Didn't win the Mega Millions lottery last night. ) :0( sigh!
The shoes Tracie bought were $79 on sale and they definately looked worth it $119 originally.
I could never see myself spending that kind of money on myself. That's just me.
Maybe if I had slipped my foot into a pair of them shoes, I'd have changed my mind.
There was a cute Polar Bear ( only one ) that looked like it was purchased as a decoration in that store.
Had a $ 19.98 sticker price. Asked how much it was marked down and when the price was checked it was $3. SOLD! Why did I want it??? Just did. It's cute and will look good sitting on the tree skirt next year.
Isn't he soooooooooooo cute.or is he a she? I have sweet little bows I so cruely put on my female ferret on a whim. ;0) Me thinks the Polar Bear will tolerate them better. By this time it was 5:50 and the Mall was closing at 6 , so we headed out to the parkinglot. Trudge, trudge, trudge.
It was too late to head to a Best Buy a few miles up the road to buy my laptop.
The way I figure it,......... whom ever would have waited on me is very happy he/she did not have a sale when he/she would have wanted to leave work and get ready to party. :0) .
Oh .......did I just hear a Thank You....You're Welcome.
We drove down roads off our beaten path and admired some beautiful yard displays.
Took a few pictures out my window. We really looked suspicious as we would slowly roll to a stop and I'd snap a picture. Dogs were barking at us. I was expecting John Law to come along and ask what we were doing. Now come on.....does my face look like that of a burglar. :0)
You know who you are. :0)
While I don't know any of the many, many people that lived in those gorgeous decorated houses and yards , each of you or your efforts to make my Christmas brighter did not go un-noticed. I shit you not!
We stopped to eat at Mings and it was a Horror Show.Throngs of people waiting for their Take Out orders, long line of people waiting for an empty table.
The poor waitress that FINALLY waited on us was inundated and needed ten hands instead of her two.
She too probably would have thanked us if we didn't step foot in there. ;0)
Home Sweet Home never looked so good.
After feeding hubby I donned my jammies and went out back and yelled to my back yard neighbor who was sitting around a fire pit with her hubby and grown family ..." HAPPY NEW YEAR.
Don't take offense, but I am lowering my shade to sit at my computer and give you privacy."
Robin laughed and wished us a Happy New Year back.
New Year arrived and hubby and I kissed and wished each other Happy New Year.
We both were sincere and it felt so good ....."why can't we both be nicer to each other and leave some good memories when we are gone to each other????????????????????????????????????
Life is so short. Nuff this shit..Getting tears in my eyes.
When hubby first spoke this morning I said, " shhhhhhh ,you will wake my husband up."
He heard me the first time... :0) didn't have to keep repeating myself and get my tits in an uproar and end up wishing that I never said an efffin word which happens so often. sigh!
W.B. came after he got off his shift at 8 this morning. Apologized to me when I went for coffee refills.
Began explaining it to me and I told him I knew what he said was factual.. It's hubby that doesn't understand any technology since the TV came out.
I bought him recorders FOR ME :0) way back when Dallas was a serial on TV.
maybe I'm even calling that the wrong name. ??
Neither of us watched Daytime Soaps and he cared even less about Dallas, but when I went to bingo I didn't want to miss it.
Needless to say that machine became an antique . He never bothered to figure out how to record a program and even to this day with a new DVD player he has to be retrained on how to insert and play a movie, which in itself is rarely.
I want to watch the movie Idiocracy and that will take Jill to come into our bedroom to start it.
Grandson Ryan bought him a Clint Eastwood movie a few years back and he would go to play it and we saw the credits over and over and over.....sigh! My nerves felt like fingernails on a chalk board.
I shit you not!
One of my sons showed us how his Tivo worked one year ( maybe 10 years back now), so I bought one.
I learned how to use it..............yessssssssssssss no commercials.
Hubby DID NOT learn how to operate it.
Told me to take the piece of shit back to the store. sigh!
He rather complain about the commercials.............oh well.
It's a brand new year. First to tackle is writing the correct date on my checks.
After that..............it's anyones good guess on their best day. I shit you not!
That's All Folks!
