D D I'd like to run away from home

It's been an efffin zoo since 12:20 ... I shit you not!
It's still Friday the 10th.and it's almost 9 p.m.
Jill and Butchie had some words to start the morning off......told her she talks nice to everyone else, but him and he is sick of it.
She told him to lower his voice as this is her parent's house, not hers. His remark was Fuck You!
Gave her a GPS and that didn't make her happy. She would rather he paid his electric bill.
She looks at it as just something else he can take back when he has a hair across his ass.
I told her if he tries that shit to hand him $50 and remind him you paid to have the shank put on that ring so he would stop crying that you were not wearing it ( even though it cut and pinched your finger) and say.....we're even.
Around noon she was all dressed up.  Low heels and all.
Was going to a wake of a kid she grew up withs mother later.
The two of them went off a couple of hours. Think I know where as they came back around 2:30 and heated up leftover N.E. boiled dinner she had made the day before for their lunch.
It definately wasn't out to eat that they went.
Hubby and I ate it for supper later. Tasted even better than the night before ...if that's possible.
Hubby and I thought we would be able to get in a nap before Logan got out of school, so we gave that a shot.
Wasn't but minutes later it seemed that my Randy came.
Was looking for Jill  and said he'd come back later.
We lay down again and her son Gil came to give her flowers and her card.
Had to wait around for her to come home for almost an hour.
There went our efffin nap. sigh!
I knew hubby would want to go to the chiroprator when it re-opened at 3, so we both got ready.
Just as we were leaving the driveway some of her friends showed up.
One of the guys from this neighborhood has been in a rest home for 5 weeks now and hubby has know him since 1945ish. Suggested we go down the street a mile or so after we got adjusted to visit him and we did.
Having that transfer chair in my trunk it isn't the burden lifting it out of the trunk as his other one was to do these extra little things.
He and Joe went down Memory Lane for better than an hour. :0)
Five p.m. we pull into our driveway. Holy shit .... more vehicles.  Good ole DD and Tom were here of course. Everyone is mixing drinks and having an efffin great old time. Someone had a boom box out there on the side yard blaring Lady GaGa music. I wanted to pull my hair out about that time. I shit you not!
Gone was her plan to go to that wake. She had changed out of those nice clothes.
I didn't look to see who was out there. Heated our leftovers up and no sooner took the last bite when the phone rang.   Tracie....Wondered if I had eaten cause she was going out to eat if I wanted to go.
When I heard the area I said.....just give me a minute..I'll be right over. Turned the pool pump on and added chlorine and headed across the street
Needed to buy Winterizer and anti-freeze for the pool to close it up and needed to get the Hell out of the house. I shit you not!
Walk by her car and see the front passenger seat loaded ( as usual). Empty Sprite and chocolate milk containers on the floor . She empties the seat off by tossing it in the back and I kick stuff away from under foot and off we go.
I need to stop and play my nunbers, I hear her say. I look at the stack of paper she has in her hands.
Think the words Holy Shit came out of my mouth cause I hear her say "it's not as bad as it looks."
Told me she does not play a dollar on each ticket so she won't have to drive to the lottery headquarters if she wins, nor pay taxes. Twenty five cents times four on each number she plays. The ten or fifteen minutes she was inside the store....I  kicked back and let the silence envelope me.  mmmmmmmmmmmmnnnnnn
So I got my pool crap and watched Tracie eat at a place next door to Namco and sipped a diet coke.
Was better than what I had left at home.
Come home after dark.... the fire pit is blazing, the music is still blaring . The drinks are flowing...in and out for ice and a refill and they must have hired a comedian ;0) cause there's alot of laughter going on out there still.  What is it? The drunker you get the funnier things are????
We retreat to our room and a short time later I hear hubby say somethings wrong and he is holding his head.
I rush to his side concerned . When he spoke he told me there was no pain, but his ears and head felt like they had alot of pressure in them and they were going to explode. It passed.  B/P was fine. hmmmmmm.
Now what the hell can that be? He has had those brain bleeds which caused a damned bad headache.
This was different. It's so fun to get old.   NOT!!!
The partying is still going on...Logan has his friend Kenny staying overnight and I can hear them cutting up in the living room.  Just being kids....J u s t so much c o n f u s i o n .
I'd like to run away from home......have too much shit to pack up. :0)

Thursday night Tracie came over about the time supper was ready to get put on the table.
Hubby says LOUD enough for her to hear..." what the Fuck is she doing here again."
I scurry out to the diningroom and she told me the reason she came over was because I had said the day before that I wanted to go to Michaels for yarn.  THAT, I did.
She didn't know that I ordered the yarn online that morning...sigh! She was trying to be kind enough to take me once she heard me say that.
Of course she had heard what hubby said when I asked her when we got outside.
Back in my room I go and tell hubby she is here because I want to go to Michael's.
Okay go the fuck to Michaels, just get her the fuck out of here ... he yells.
Told her I'd be right out and ran and put the pool pump on...added the chemical and away I went.
Damned yarn was a dollar more a skein than it was online..FREE shipping too,.but I bought 5 skeins of BerryBlue anyway.
Twenty bucks gone. Not cheap to knit ...no sirreee.
People do not want to pay the price of what it costs to make things let alone for your time. That's why I prefer to make and give to relatives, a shower gift or store away.
Thank goodness I still have plenty of buttons for these sweaters. Not that they came free....it's just not out of pocket now.
Get up to  checkout and notice the pecan turtles I like, but don't need. ( 3 to a pkg)
OMG! $2.49 cents.  They are .89 cents in the grocery store.  Damned glad my tongue wasn't hanging out for one of those. I shit you not!  That's insane!!
It's now 9:48 p.m. and hubby is snoring.  Chuckling as I'm thinking...must be efffin nice.
Sometimes he can just sleep through the din and other days the slightest things wake him.
Go figure...I can't. :0) Nor will I try.

Around 10ish this morning I called my Sonny in FL to wish him Happy Birthday.
His wife Deb was at work and handed him money and told him to buy himself something nice. :0)
That's my girl..................................
He is sending Jill or I on a mission tomorrow. Needs pictures of what is left in Deb's father's yard.
They were closing on his house today and her brother was suppose to have a truck, car parts and a dumpster out of there. Her brother is being difficult and causing problems with her settling the estate.
Oh what fun...when people pass away and siblings show their horns.
I'd like to be a fly on my wall.............or do I ????
I know most of my kids think Jill has has gotten more than her fair share living here for nothing over 10 years.
I don't disagree.  She will act like she had to give up her life to nurse us.  That's my gut feeling. sigh!

Ten thirty p.m. ....pulling on the warmer pj's and reclining in bed to watch some tv.
Am ever so glad that all that goings on is on the other side of the house.
If we sleep with the tv on we won't hear it.....ain't happening.....which makes me chuckle at another memory.
Son Terry was about 17 and was out front with his buddy late one night...hubby was working the night shift.
You know how voices and noise travels at night..........and it was keeping me awake. Had no A/C then and had the windows open.
Went to the front door a few times asking them to lower their voices.....the 3rd time I went, I had packed a brown bag with some of his clothes and threw it out the door. Screamed at him to go move into Harold's house and locked the door. I was so angry I was acting like a wild woman. :0)
GNite!

      I lie.....No it wasn't!
Once in  bed...hubby woke and began bitching about what went on during the time I was out with Tracie.
A steady stream of people in and out using the bathroom and making drinks.
So I was trying to disfuse that situation while Logan and Kenny were still in the livingroom makig noise .
Go to them and tell them to get in the bedroom. Bedtime. It was 11 about then.
You could hear Jill and Butchie's voices coming from the other end of the house. That bedroom door was open.   I could feel the tension coming from hubby and was holding my breath.
I get out of bed to peek at what was going on in the kitchen. Butchie was making tuna fish and had bread toasting for his sandwiches... My mind was willing him to hurry up and get the hell in that other room before hubby blew up.  Think it was near midnight when all was calm......EXCEPT for my Ginger. Up at my head she was ....SNORING. She has a cute squeeky snore, BUT!
I began to chuckle at the entire happenings of the day in my FunnyFarm and this... on top of it.
Hubby tells me to shake her. Only stops her for a sec or two and she was right back at it.
Eeventually she moved down between us and somehow we nodded off.

MORNING!
Came to a few times hearing a tea pot heating and saw the bright sun. Nodded back to sleep.
When I was in desperate need of the bathroom I got up.  8:58 a.m. whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Kenny was silently playing XBOX, Jill and Butch were off in their respective vehicles and Logan was still asleep and still is at 10:14 a.m.
I'm tippy toeing around making coffee and bringing the computer up so hubby as not to wake hubby.
What the Fuck! I hear a motor racing and reving. Go look and Butch has his boat in the driveway running water thru the engine.  You gotta be shitting me!
Scurry as quietly as I can to close the windows and doors up and say a silent prayer.
I know the rest of the world is awake at 9:20 a.m. , but hubby was not. Yesterday morning he woke at 7, but he retired to bed earlier than last night.
When I inquired where Jill was when he came inside he told me he thought she went up to the shop to make sandwiches for their boat trip today.  It won't be in his boat he said cause it still isn't running right.
Going out with DD and Tom in theirs.
Trying to get themselves killed when Tom gets so drunk he has no regard for water safety, is my guess.
Like how many times has he said that he needs to get his boat fixed so they don't get themselves killed on Tom's boat.
Hubby woke all by his onesy at 9:44 and then I could type on this keyboard. :0)
He asked me if they were still asleep.  Answered him...no.     Thank you Lord.
He slept hrough that 10 minutes of boat motor reving.
Jill just called me for the real estate companies phone number. She jsut took pictures of the yard I mentioned up above  and needs to get inside the house ( real estate office has the key) to see if Deb's brother left written proof that he disposed of his dad, 2 pistols and rifle like he said he would.
They need that documentation for the records of her dad's estate.
She is the executrix.   Guess that is a nicer word than bitch where siblings are concerned. I shit you not!
It's a new day...going by faster becasue of the late start. sigh!
Heard that Jill's son Ryan was none to happy when he and his wife came into this scene last night.
Zero tolerance for alkies. They didn't stay long. I see a ? of Dexter on the table. It's one of the things she follows. Whatshmacallits!  CD, Video, serials.... I'm not up on that shit. I shit you not!
Hope today is a better day .....hope next year her 50th birthday is celebrated somewhere else in a much better way.
That's All Folks!

pssssssssssssssssst! Someone gave her a joke gift amongst the gifts I saw on her bed.
KY Touch Massage 2 in 1 tingling sensation.
:0(    I must live in a cave....never knew they made that shit.
Where was this shit when I was young ????  Never to old to learn, BUT too old to use it now. sigh!

D D I would like to share this

A mother's grief-without time limits
By Marianne Leone

Five years ago, I found my 17 year old son dead in his bed and apparently five years is too long to be manifesting the symptoms of sadness:sleeplessness, the sudden and inexplicable onset of overwhelming memories and tears, the occasional entire day spent lying in bed.
My time was up two weeks after we found him, according to the proposed fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
If the new edition is approved, my symptoms will be dianosed as major depressive disorder.
   I don't go to a phychiatrist, I don't take anti-depressant drugs.
I don't judge anyone who does, but I bristle at the idea of a group of psychologists giving me an arbitrary cutoff date for how long I am allowed to grieve.
My mother died six months before my son, my favorite aunt four months after him, my favorite uncle and the family dog a year later, along with my fictional television son on "The Sopranos."
Does that appalling list net me a few extra weeks grace from the people who want me to be a regular customer of Big Pharma? ( Okay, maybe the fictional son is a stretch.)
I wrote a book about my son Jesse, a memior celebrating his life and mourning his death that was published yesterday.
Most people ask me whether it was "cathartic" to write the book, a tremor of hope fluttering under their hesitant words.
Cartharsis means " the purging of emotions." But Jesse hasn't been disappeared from my life, Soviet-style.
His memory is with me always, and sometimes it makes me cry becasue I miss him so much, because it hurts to see his friends becoming fine young men when he didn't get the chance, because I want to hold him with a longing that is visceral, even after he's five years gone.
My mother grew up in the Abruzzo region of Italy, where the inhabitants of the old culture have experienced war, earthquakes, famine.
They are not afraid to acknowledge death and the sadness that follows. A folk song about death is called," scura mai"-- you have left me in the dark.
They're not afraid to represent the archetypical mother,Mary with seven swords in her heart after the death of her Son.
What are we afraid of here in the United States?
Since Jesse died, I have felt joy. I have even laughed until tears came to my eyes.
I have written a book and essays. I have acted on television and in film. I have hosted huge family parties.
But, full disclosure:  I have taken to my bed  for the entire day sometimes, on Jesse's birthday and on the January date I found him dead.
Because what makes more sense to me , the actual person who has suffered a loss, are the words C.S.Lewis's  character speaks in the film " Shadowlands."
" The pain now is part of the happiness then. That's the deal."
And if the shrinks think that's a major depressive disorder, they're the crazy ones, not me.

Today is my Sonny's 50th birthday and my daughter Jill's ( his sister) 49th

Happy Birthday

It is also the 16th anniversary of their father's death.
It stopped being a happy day for Jill that day.
Her dad is buried next to his parents in the town of West,TX

Let's leave well enough alone today and leave off on a positive note.
That's All Folks!

D D Mothers do get weary

Try a little tenderness.....

It's not even a new day. Well it will be when I post this, but it's still Wednesday.
If I didn't remember...I heard Meat Raffle Day being said in the kitchen just now.
That would mean it's a Wednesday. YUP!
Jill went off between 11 and noon.  Just came home at 5:30 p.m. with DD of the Tom and DD team.
She is feeling no pain and should not have driven home...let again go back out.
She is  at the stove making spaghetti.  Defrosted her sauce from the freezer this morning.
Meantime I have been doing 4 loads of laundry and folding them, etc.
Nothing much else has been done here and certainly nothing by her.
There is no such thing anymore such as staying home during the day and partying at night.
It's party day and night....well for some people that is. :0(
My spirits are weary and so am I.  sigh!
Apprehension and anxiety are building in me thinking about her going back out.
Feel it in the pit of my stomach and chest.
It's just not right.
Logan has had many friends in this afternoon since school got out and papa gets upset easy when he sees or hears the fridge being constantly opened and same with the front door.  In and out, in and out.
Then it's look to see whats for snacks in the snack drawer.
His friends all follow suit.....he gets tonic, they do. he gets a snack, they do.
I don't want to be known as the mean grandmother and it's hard to let them watch Logan eat and drink.
At least to me it is.
If Jill was home she could speak to Logan in private. It shouldn't be up to me...even if I pay for the stuff.
She usually has no idea of what has gone on all afternoon.and is ...what does she call it...oh yeah, socializing.
I could not even take hubby to the chiropractor... Oh yeah..she always says to go and leave Logan here, but I'm not comfortable doing that and I don't want to tell his friends they have to leave because we are. sigh!
Listening to her drunken laugh as I type... stabs me in the heart.
Alkies are so selfish. me, me ,me!
Oh excuse moi...she doesn't drink cause she has to...it's because she wants to.
What the fuck is the difference????? Pray tell !
I told her yesterday that I wanted to go to Walmart.... sorry but I'm not asking again.
Eff it...don't want to take any time away from her socializing time. I'll get Tracie to take me.

Spent some hours eating , picking up and waiting for her comapny to leave.
Got nervy and asked Jill what her plans were around 8. Staying in ....that's what she said.
Now why am I being antsy and keep looking out the front door. Tom and DD's truck was still parked there and I'm assuming she is in it talking orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr planning her get away.
You can't tell someone that will be 49 in two more days to stay home...don't drive and every other warning you would like to impart.
Her dad died on her birthday, but wasn't found until after midnight on the 11th. Another boozing day I see coming up.
Back and forth to the livingroom I go to check if her car is there and where the truck is when I should be able to sit and do Jack Shit.
Feel like I'm hyperventillating. Getting myself worked up for sure.
Hubby's sister Ann called him to let him know someone else they knew passed away.
His mother has been living just around the corner with her sister the last few years.
Someone he worked with that lived in our town was waked today from 4-8. We didn't make it.
I made his 2 daughters wedding cakes and went to his wife and son in law's funeral many years ago.
His sis told him about the rain they had today in Stoughton.
Heard him say that it missed us. Nothing here.  Interjected and told him we had the same storm around 6:45 a.m. Oh...I was sleeping he says to her. :0) Yep, he was.
Earlier he called Michael in NH to let him know a childhood friend of his mother had died.
Michael has paid for a ? and won't be home Friday for the wake.
Was packing for the trip when his dad called him.
Last trip in to check on Jill ....I noticed Lady had peed on the rug, :0(
Cleaned as much of that out of the rug as I could. Will go over it tomorrow.
While hubby showered this morning I got on my hands and knees and scrubbed up that blueberry juice.
Damn muscles in my legs were cramping up. They are not use to being in that position.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh I hear her coming in. It's 9 p.m. She is telling Logan it's bedtime.
That does not mean she is calling it a night though. I'm wise to her ways. Even today when she left before noon she left out her bedroom door. Less I ask her where she is headed is my guess.
The Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy.  I shit you not!
There are two women in this house and no reason to have this much disorder. Once a month she might run a vac in the livingroom. Before she began drinking she was a real good homemaker. sigh!
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm her bedroom door just shut.  Need to go look to see if her car is still in the driveway.
Going to get into night clothes and try to relax after that.
to moi!

It's Thursday..........................
She did stay in. Went right to bed .

Hubby must have taken more than one cat nap yesterday as he woke before 7.
Which in turn woke moi, but I continued to lay there hoping to fall back to sleep.
No such luck!

A funny thing happened on the way to the coffee and tea pot.
Jill made moi privy to more info on the Butchster.
His electic and phone were shut off.
Getting his boat fixed is more important than getting those bills paid.... tsk, tsk, tsk.
Called his cell phone provider and ....I don't know how that works. He authorized/paid by check ? $160 to have his cell phone turned back on.
Has no $160 in the bank. hmmmmmmmmmmmm isn't the first time he has paid a hefty sum for a bounced check.
Thankfully he did pay me the next day the $200 I handed Randy to purchase a GPS system .
She is always having me print out directions to function halls and recently said she would like a cheap one ( no frills added ) as her b day gift from him, but wasn't reminding him her b day was approaching.
This info I related to my Randy who in turn related to Butch.
This TomTom was on sale. It's not the cheapest, but not the elite model either.
Two years insurance was purchased in this price as well as a house charger.
This will be the most expensive item he has purchased in over two years for her.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm which makes me wonder...who's money will be used at the bars today as he gets his pitiful paycheck on Friday.  My guess is... it will be hers.
Just made my way to the kitchen for a java refill.
Mother got bold. I asked her if he ever paid her the $150 she paid to have a new shank put on the ruby birthstone ring he gave his mother as a teenager and in turn gave to her after they made up last time.
nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I slapped my hand against the side of my head when she said that.
My first thought is...he must be damned good in bed.
She said the other day while they were with DD and Tom he said to them, doesn't that ring look great on her finger.to which she said .....especially since I had a new shank put on it so it didn't cut my finger.
Like what the Fuck. You hand your intended a ring that was cut off your dead mother's finger and expect her to wear it like that.    He did. I shit you not!
Sadly my second thought is her face is well known in the bars in our town and no one other than another drunk wants her as their wife.
I told her long ago when she started bringing DD and Tom here that misery loves company.
She was going with a fairly wealthy chronic alkie her age then and they were hangers on and came as part of the deal.  They knew him before she met him..
He spent 12 K for her engagement ring. A gorgeous Princess cut stone in a solid platinum setting .Or was that a Princess setting??? Square stone.  No gold, no white gold. All platinum.
You can see I'm up on stones and the like. NOT!
Platinum I do know though. :0)
My engagement ring has a heart shaped diamond and is set in white gold.
Too tight on my dainty fingers..... a little humor here.
These details like her paying to have that ring fixed because he cried that she wouldn't wear it.........I keep from hubby. It would only add more fuel to his dislike of him. sigh!
Although I would agree with him that Butch is a loser and I have.......... I don't want to hear it.
It gets my nerves jumping and I feel so unsettled . Whom she dates...is her business. Not mine...although when I slapped the side of my head I'm sure she caught my disenchantment with that picture of her paying for ring repairs.
Now as I think of it more.....I buy Logan's school clothes. Something is wrong with this picture.
ooooooooooooooooooR MOI !    I shit you not! Mom =enabler. Yeah, I do know!
Like who is getting the effffing?????
Figuratively speaking it is moi. Cause it sure as Hell isn't in my bedroom .
Infrequently..... it's President Clinton's sex ......I shit you not!
That's All Folks!

D D When it rains... it pours.

The sky opened up minutes before Logan was to walk down the street to the school bus at 6:50 a.m..
Lightning, thunder and torrential rain....all gone in a half hour.
We needed it.
Hubby slept through it and up until nine which gave me time to read the news on the computer and some of the blogs I read. :0)
Got him his morning juice and a banana while the tea pot heated up.
I hear from him while my back is to him and I'm enjoying my hot coffee...."oh shit."
Turn around and nooooooooo it wasn't shit...it was blueberry juice he knocked over. :0(
What a freakin mess. I run for towels and dog pee pads to absorb it and his legs are in my way as I am hurrying to get up as much as I can off his nightstand before it hits the rug where the most of it is.
Any touch or nudge on his legs is painful and he finally got smart and put them back up on the bed. sigh!
Let me paint a scene for you................................ right below the nightstand he keeps an opened carboard box. In this he keeps all his rubber excercise bands ...blue,green,red which are different pull strengths.
Maybe 8 of these are in there, 3 different weights to put on his ankles to excercise with, a piece of rolled up sandpaper, a spray bottle to wipe up spills, AA,AAA,C,D and 9 volt batteries tied with rubber bands, plastic store bags, an empty pill bottle he has removed the label from.
On his nightstand is his dial phone , his fairly new warning system that dials 911, his tea, banana.
Needless to say I had a mess to clean and still have to get back to the rug.
Won't be the first time and probably won't be the last.  The blueberry joined the tomato juice and body fluids. Old, old rug.   I've been known to spill things on it myself.  Lady  has also used it as her potty.
I would love to replace it, BUT. We have heavy solid oak furniture in here. The pier wall headboard will be
an undertaking to take out of this room as well as the huge tv and  stereo unit.
When we bought it the tv fit inside and the doors closed around it.
Not anymore. The tv is too big and sits on top.  Guess what's behind the closed doors now? Yarn :0)
Beside the nightstand is a cart on wheels with shelves.  He has everything in it, but the kitchen sink.
An old work shirt, 2 caps, one black and the other white with the AirForce insignia on them, bathing suit, tools of every description, masking tape, duct tape, electrical tape, electrical cords, vaseline, electric razor, battery charger, more batteries. straw hat, staple gun,. The list is endless.  Next to that is his commode.
To be fair...........mine always has knitting stuff on it. Needles, pins, knitting needles, crochet hook, scissors, my phone, electric clock.
Below it I have a knitting travel cart on wheels loaded with patterns, buttons, knitting needles and crochet needles to name a few. In my corner I have Lady's kennel  she sleeps in at night,a bag of Eucanuba,  a bag of doggie pee pads and more knitting on top of Lady's bed.
It can be depressing to look at. :0(
Especially so because once it was gorgeous in here...before hubby was in the condition he is now.
For just a few years in my life I had things like I wanted them and POOF.
Before that it was handmedowns and used furniture for the most part and I was happy to have my Early Distress furniture as I called it. :0)
Now I do try to not put so much on possessions as nothing lasts and a hurricane, tornado, fire, flood or other circumstance could take them all away, but sometimes I long for more order in my life.
The before pictures.
Let's just say we LIVE in this room, because we do for the most part.
I go in the living room to feed and clean the ferrets and to leave by the front door.
Sometimes I clean it...Sometimes is the key word here.
Hubby only goes through it to the front door to leave.
Have put some of hubby's stuff outside to dry. Took a wash basin out there. Was easier that way. :0)
Hubby just tried to make a joke.. :0) Asked me if I knew the reason why he spilled it.
Answer was::  To bring my bloodpressure up.   hardyhawhaw.
It was an accident, I know.
I'm not mad...just pooped after cleaning up.

Do they come in waves of three? Hope not!

Yesterday we had Butchie's boat in the yard. He was working on it. They would go off for a gasket or some other part and be gone over an hour. Parts store is a mile away.  sigh!
Then they had Tom and DD come over. Tom with his boat tools to help him work on the boat and she also invited them to supper.
All four always had a mixed drink at hand the entire time they were here which was more than 3 hours.
I found this funny. Butch needed a metal coat hanger.   I have none. Hubby told him exactly where he kept one ... and it was already straightened out.  Ready to use. :0) Vaseline...beside my bed on that cart. He knows where his things are and lord help you if you move them. His eyesight is limited, but he knows where to reach for things.
Looking at those pictures and think I should just toss em out instead of beating myself up. sigh!

These are some of the things I wiped up that were in that box.
Doesn't everyone keep this stuff at the hand??? :0)

As I was mentioning yesterday....the Ex SIL fro Hell wanted Logan to see him off at the airport.
As we know, since 911 and maybe before...you can not see a plane take off from logan Airport.
You can only step so far inside. Once you go through security you are alone and your loved ones can not follow you.
Sooooooo dad was dropped off curbside 5ish.... and they went back to Dracut and fell back to sleep and Logan was late for school.  What B/S !!!  Grown people can be such assholes.
Even Gil at age 19 was required to go.
Erzi made it to school on time because his school starts an hour later.
His side

My side
Time to get in the present and get scubbing that blueberry juice out of the rug.
Not that it will make much difference in the appearance. I shit you not!

D D It's that time of the year

when some flowers have had their fun in the sun and have withered up while others still bask in the sun and cooler nights.
The portulaca are loving it.

Not so with the cucumbers :0(

The producing season is so brief

The Japanese red maple that needs to be moved...preferably to a grandson's yard. He has acreage.
The leaves are loosing their dark red color and dropping off. .
It's about 6 ft. tall now .
There is a darker bush behind it. The name of it? CRS set in again. It turns shade and sometimes looks purple.
Why in the world I plunked the seedling there I know not of.
It seeded istself outside the fence and on a lark I dug that up and put it inside the fence.

It's mother towers over it and was smaller than this seedling is when we bought and planted it.

Every year there are new seeds from this tree sprouting up. They are either yanked out or mowed over.

This is our blue spruce. We purchased this in 1976 and carried it home in our LTD station wagon.
It's hard to imagine that it fit inside a car once upon a time.

Closer pic, but can't get it all in one frame.

My doll crib with the new bedding

Another view
Nana is in her second childhood. :0)

sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo today was my 3 month checkup .
Appointment was 10:30 and she saw me at 11. Nothing new. sigh!

She likes to dole the med's out in 3 month increments as it appears to moi.
We had a little problem with my blood work. She has had no info in her records since 2008.
Told her I did go as she looked at moi with an accusing eye.
Had her desk person call to inquire about it.
They sent two faxes and couldn't get through so they gave up after two attempts. They were told to mail it from now on. :0)  I was redeemed .
She took my B/P... sat back down to record it and asked moi if I had any dizzy spells lately.
Uh huh!  Was told blood pressure was LOW.
When I inquired as to the numbers....
105/ ?  she didn't give me the bottom number.
Called the front desk for more info after I got back home...such as cholestrol.
Bad is 94 which is very good  They want it under 130
The HDL was 72. Was not told what number that should be under. Was told that also was very good.
Then I asked about my sugar...which was 83.
Some years back it was 70 and I was told that was low so I suspect 83 isn't bad either.
My B/P med will be changed to a lower dose and quite frankly.. if i am not emotionally upset I don't think I need a pill for it.
Things have been fairly calm the past week or so...I just knocked on wood.:0)
Except for her usual concerns of moi getting out more...has said in past an hour or more a day( which won't happen) now it's get out and walk the neighborhood when weather is good.
Have entertained that thought....but that's as far as it's gone. sigh!
Other than the low B/P she is happy with my results. Did tell me to continue to lose weight...but didn't check my weight this time. No loss I am quite sure. :0(
Asked me about my appetite. Told her NOTHING was wrong with that. I speak the truth about that.
I'm hungry all the time. :0( This once fussy little kid has come a long way BABY!
Who would have THUNK IT!
Overall, I'm a little too cocky for my britches sometimes. I shit you not!
Now watch moi just drop dead on the spot out of the blue!

Ryan and Sarah left at 6 p.m.  Jill ( his mother ) and Butchie took off for the bars at 5. :0(
Seemed like no sooner than they left that Tracie came over and I kept her at the kitchen table.
Hubby siad to keep her OUT THERE.
Had to tell me about her day at the craft fair and mentioned she was BAD.
Which means she bought stuff.
Jill and Butchie came in at 8:30 buzzed big time.  Were off again within minutes.
They traded her car for his truck.
Neither had any buisness being behind the wheel of a vehicle..
When I finally was able to get Tracie to the front door and on the landing she continued her talk.
I kept shifting from one leg to another as almost another hour went by. The skunks were roaming and we would see them so she was cautious and worried about unning into one.
Finally...I led the way to the end of my driveway telling her to follow me.
Happy to report she did not get encounter one, but I did.
As I turned back I spotted one coming out from under the wheelchair ramp, but made it to the stairs and it just passed on by heading towards the chow hall. :0)

Damn...damn. No wonder my days seem so short. Two hours of occasional chat and nothing to show for it.
I just can't be the one to hurt her feelings no matter how much this constant coming over bothers me and cuts into ME time. sigh!
So you say.............suffer!  I am.... :0(

Jill and Butch came back at 9:30 with leftover from eating out...of course they had had more booze.
He ordered lobster, spaghetti and some other dish. Must be nice to have money. HA!
She ordered a personal size pizza and ate 1 1/2 pieces.  That isn't good either. All that booze on an empty stomach.
Just like my dad she is.....drinks like a fish and eats like a bird.

Finally they settled down for the night and I continued to sit at this computer until 11 something.
Had no nap yesterday either. sigh!
Could not just walk off and hit the bed while Ryan and Sarah were here.
Forgot to mention that Logan came in after dark grabbing up his school items ( notebooks, pencils, geography book and the likes.
He had to get up at 4:30 a.m. and go with Julie and dad to the airport and then she would drop him off at school ,on the way back to her house.  HUH???? Is that nuts or what?
Then I asked Jill about it when she came in at 10:30.
She was told by the ex SIL from Hell that he wanted to see Logan off to school ...one time.
So which is it?
Neither makes sense...you make an 11 year old lose sleep over THAT!
Assinine is what it is.  Logan Airport is 30 miles from here and probably 39 or more from Dracut.
Oh Right!!!!!  He's a selfish bastard. He also likes to call the shots. I'm in charge.....the control freak.

Well I'm definately not up and walking around..............nor napping while I'm sitting at this computer.
If truth be told....it's hunger that is making me rise up.  I shit you not!

D D A most unusual Labor Day

For many years this long weekend has found me busy cooking and cleaning.
This year there is no cookout and I really am enjoying it.
It's time my grown kids find another way to spend their Labor Day weekend.
I'm not saying I will be giving it up altogether. Maybe next year I will feel more perky.

This morning I forced myself to knit 10 rows on Ryu's sweater before I started writing in here.
Lately I prefer to zone out instead of concentrating.
A sweater pattern takes concentration.
Gone are the days when I would crochet a full sized  afghan in a week. .sigh!
If I was unable to knit or crochet, I would be miserable.
What I need to do is get the lead out of my ass and get busy. I shit you not!

Jill worked a Gothic wedding yesterday at the Commanders Mansion in Watertown,MA.
Bride was a Bridezilla and the groom was Casper milktoast.
The men wore rented costumes ....the old timey wear as Jill worded it.
Didn't catch what her bridesmaids wore.
Her dress was black and red. Her mother made covers for the chairs and tables in black and red.
Inside the old mansion it was good for  picture taking. Fit the theme so to speak.
Outside on the grounds where the meal was served....not so much.
The brides hair was black with red streaks too. To each their own.
Bride and groom never smiled for a picture and Jill said very few guests smiled. hmmmmmmmmmmmm
The bride also did alot of bitchin and was snapping at her mother, which rounds out this picture. :0(
Pretty is as pretty does, my mother use to say.

Kid#4 Randy came with our order of tonic from NH where it's cheaper to buy.
Spent time asking him about GPS systems. Out of hubby's ear shot.... of course.
Christmas comes before you know it and sales will begin soon. Looking for a good buy on one that comes highly recommended.    Price does matter. :0)

Me, myself and I think the following pictures are eye candy.
Feel the need to share.

Mother Nature has some beautiful colors of her own.
Some days I do have time to smell the roses

Just did a little visiting.  Nephew Drew sent his husband Patrick over with some pulled pork they made the other day.
Hubby will enjoy it!! :0)
I'll have BLT's while he eats pulled pork in a bun. It's Win, Win all around.
Took a walk to the garden to see if any of his seedless tomatoes are red.
Some were....but have seeds upon being sliced open. Go figure!
Tell me now....how do you plant seedless tomato seeds and expect to get fruit with no seeds ???
Still it's a disappointment when you pay good money for the seeds and hubby has been waiting and waiting to enjoy a tomato. sigh!

As you might know, I hardly ever post in one sitting. In fact I can't remember one time.
Made us burgers for lunch and always get up and down during the day to get the blood flowing so to speak.
Jill is making a quick corn bread. Using buttermilk in this recipe.  Hubby will enjoy it I'm sure.
Sometimes...so do I.   Nice and warm. ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
Earlier she made the grocery list out and I handed her $160... Think I got $20 in change back.
Mind you....we are four and sometimes when Butch eats... 5 people. Also,  it's not a weeks worth of groceries.
It has to be very hard for alot of people to give their families a healthy meal every day.
Never did I imagine that a loaf of bread would cost what it does now.
Grocery stores have not come down on prices since the gas prices came down.
Granted the gas prices didn't go back to where they were, but still.give us a break!
For sure the wealthy have no idea what it's like to make do and do without.
If all you can afford is starchy products and even those are not cheap anymore....how do they expect us to be healthy and at a good weight.
Hardly any wonder why more and more obese and morbidly obese are making the news.
Try to buy fruit for a family!!!!  Prices are ridiclous.
Except for a few bananas & some grapes on sale... for the most part, I just let them sit on the shelves.
Wish someone would do a show with our elected officials being given only a cretain amount of money that the average Joe the Plumber has and send them out to shop for a weeks worth of groceries.
Seven breakfasts' , lunches and suppers.  Fruits and beverages.
Then figure out what the average family can buy on their earnings. Let alone the people on a fixed income and the people without a job through no fault of their own.
My gut feeling is they have no concept of what we are experiencing. I shit you not!

Ryan and Sarah just came..They were bored at their apartment. Had a great time in Florida and are now officially broke.
I'm going to pick up my knitting and visit with them awhile.
They are use to it. :0)

D D That's the way I like it ...uh huh..uh huh

I wasn't letting anyone rain on my parade yesterday.
Hubby tried a few times.
While he was napping and before Jill left for work I sent her for Chinese food.
Thought I was doing something good. sigh!
GaiPooLoMein.  We have eaten that numerous times and like it very much.
Complaint:
I haven't eaten breakfast yet.

Answer to that was coffee, cookies, banana, pear.

Complaints:
This chicken is like sand.
The ham is old.
They did a lousy job on this today.

My comment back was: I'm having no problem eating any of it .

After cleaning up I posted a Do Not Disturb sign on the front door, took the phone off the hook and took a long nap. :0)

Earlier I had ironed.  :0(   Am I the last of the iron clothes generation?
Got myself a table top ironing board and it works just great for shirts that need touch ups and pants that need a crease. Some materials just don't look good from the dryer to the person.  I shit you not!
I save up a dozen or so pieces and when I feel ambitious I tackle the job.
How did other generations do it?  The ones without an electric iron.
No conveniences on many things we take for granted now.............thinking back to those pictures we sometimes see of the women with stern faces and no smiles one can only imagine why.
Plus being squished into a corset.  I get it now!  I'd have a face that spoke loud and clear...if looks could KILL!
Would love to get a peek at what there will be to make housework even more easier after I'm gone.
Bet I'm not the only one that has had that wish. :0)

Tracie called after 8p.m. asking me if I wanted to go to a fair with her today.
Hubby made some negative comment about her crawling out of her den when he saw who was calling on our tv screen.  It's true she has her days and nights mixed up. She has no one to answer to and can do it.
I declined.  It's a Craft Fair and I have no room for anything else. Can't display all I have as it is... sigh!
Printed her out a coupon to save a dollar off admission and walked out in the driveway to give it to her.
Watched skunks cross the road from neighbors yards to my yard.
The word must be out. Easy Touch!   Smorgasborg at this house.    I shit you not!
Knew all those skunks were not just under my shed.
More time spent on my feet ....close to an hour...standing in a driveway
Might just has well said yes and spent that time walking around fair booths.
Know Tracie means well and is trying to get me out of the house. She tells me so.
Told her I would consider going to the Topsfield Fair which runs from October 1 thru October 11.
On a week day when less people will be there.
I do enjoy looking at items people made and have entered it myself and won ribbons.

This is a toddler afghan I designed and made in pimary colors.
This one is in the attic, but have made and sold many.

This is the same afghan only made in baby colors and to fit a crib.

Bathroom tissue paper dolls in gowns I designed.

A better closeup picture

My booth at a Craft Fair in town some years back.
This is a picture of the same sweater I am making for Ryu.    His is in a darker blue. Can't get this Bernat yarn anymore. :0(
Same pattern for a girl ...again in a lovely color by Bernat that i can't get anymore. Discontinued.

I keep one bootee as a guide to follow.
Won a blue ribbon for these in 1961 at the LosAngeles County Fair.
Entered the same pair minus the lace in 1960 and got a red ribbon for 2nd prize. Those were my boy's and the others I made for my girls.
Frills win. :0)
Knit with fine baby yarn and a size 0 knitting needle.
Now you can't even find these trims to sew on a bootee. :0(

Have made so many things.....key word is HAVE.  I'm not kicking these things out like I once was. :0(

More time and I have less time. Go figure!  I'm embarrassed to say...I can't!
Shame on me.

My next door neighbor Jane is a knitter and she makes and sells alot.
Over the years we have shared patterns. I have turned her on to computer sites such as Ravelry.
She takes orders and some she donates to her church for Christmas Fairs.
While I have sold...I prefer to make and put away for the great grands now.

Hope once I post this the pictures will enlarge when you click on them.

Nice cool weather today. Just 58 degrees at 10:45 a.m.  Was downright cold last night.
Things to do...call in hubby's prescriptions, shower and get out of my own way :0) to name a few.
Outback.... maybe. I'll wait awhile to ask. Don't want any rain on my parade before I can help it.
Just snapped a picture of the my moose  chihuahua Ginger in her bed by my computer.
Where I am, she wants to be. ON a PILLOW...I shit you not!
When I get up...so will she.  She will join hubby in bed if I am not sitting or lying down.
That's All Folks!
