Some to make new friends, some to get things off their chest. You get the picture.
Some I can relate to better than others.. ..whatever the reasons for why we blog..... we have that freedom to do so.
I identify myself with the last one.
My blog is about my personal life.
I chose to put what I need to blog about out there in cyberspace.... to talk to no one in particular.
Just talk ........................vent and get myself strong for another day.
Keeping it all inside is what I have done best ....at an expense !
Except for the daughter that lives with me .........the others are unaware of what goes on behind these doors since they have left home for the most part.. They are making their own way through life
I make no phone calls to anyone. Some of them look to me to talk to about what's wrong in their life. They know I will make the time to listen when no one else will.
Listen is what I do best while my mind screams " do you think my life is a bed of roses."
"That's life! Ups, downs, joy, special moments and memories, heartaches, sorrow, tears of happiness and pain." " I hurt when you hurt." " I celebrate your good times with you."
My problems are my problems. No one else can fix them. Nor can I fix theirs.
It is what it is!
Do I love my husband? I do....but not in the same way I once did. sigh!
Do I think he loves me? I do....but not in the same way either.
Close to 1 p.m. hubby asked if we were going to the Outback to eat....affirmed that we were.
Left here close to two. Opened the car doors and the heat hit me a second time. Phew!
As has been the case, I pull up at the front door of the Outback and park.. Get out, open the rear door to retrieve his Canadian crutches, help him out and get them under his arm. Waitpersons usually take him inside to a table. Once I park the car legally, I find him usually in the first booth.
Today our favorite waitperson Lydia was on duty and she knows our order by heart. : 0 )
Only problem was , I was going to order a strawberry peach sangria, but she already had his water and my diet coke in hand. Oh well, another time. : 0 )
Lydia peels hubby's sweet potato for him. She has seen the difficult time he has doing it himself so she brings it out all peeled and ready to eat.
My baked potato looked like a banana split today. Instead of extra fixings on the side she fixed it all on the baked potato. Was almost too pretty to eat.....BUT I did!
The manager came by after our meal and asked how things were and if we wanted dessert..
We declined. Offered us a free mini Hurricane I think he called it. That too we declined.
We were FULL.....so what do I do as we are almost home. Pull into McDonalds and went thru the drivethru for a Mocha Frappe'. ; 0). I shit you not!
Hubby said it looked like another meal.
Once home it was beat the heat and nap time. Took the phone off the hook and went to Dreamland.
When I woke around 5 p.m., I did my best to do some things quietly. Succeeded.
Then around 8ish .........the doorbell rang and the dogs began to bark.
Rushed to the door....Tracie....holding out a pan of leftovers for the skunks.
Stepped out the door and tried to explain yesterday to her.
She had been trying to sort it out in her mind since she left here last night, she said.
Did I get through to her....I'm hoping so, but I really don't think so.
She thinks I should have him checked out for Alzheimer's as she said that sort of behavior is a sign of it.
Did I tell her everything he said last night. I DID! Some she heard ...like calling the police.
We did nothing wrong she is saying again to me......and again I had to tell her no we didn't, BUT he does not want you here every night.
But I missed 3 days in a row last week says she. sighhhhhhhhhhh !!!
Another reason she came over was to ask me if I wanted to go out for an ice cream.
Told her another day...
No sooner did I get back in the front door and the phone rang.
Her drunken older sister looking for her. Was surprised to hear she wasn't here.
Didn't bother to say..she just left here, try her house phone again.
Wanted to get back in my room to see which way the wind blew.
Hubby asked who was at the door and who called.
His only comment back was " geezus!"
Logan came home at 9 p.m. Was dropped off on their way back to their town.
He was bummed out. All his stuff was at the bottom of the van... cell phone charger, XBOX games, clothes.
It was the first two that he was upset about. He won't be able to use his phone now and all his good games arn't here. Had a terrible time in NY . Such is the life of an 11 year old.
Slept in a small house in the woods, saw 2 deer. When I asked where everyone slept he said his brother Gil slept on the couch, he slept on the floor, Erzi and Erzi's 2 cousins slept on air mattresses.
Naturally I asked why he slept on the floor. " That's what I'd like to know", he said.
He must have slept on the ride home because he is still awake watching tv in his bed .
In nine minutes it will be 11 p.m.
Jill and George came in maybe 20 mintes after Logan got home. Hugged ,kissed and talked with him awhile. Then she told me they were stepping out again and he would be bringing her home and dropping her off soon.
Had originally left at 1 .....still had more drinking to do, I guess. It's been over an hour.
Am not holding my breath. I shit you not !
My oldest daughter called me earlier......was griping about her teenaged daughter whom her husband caught smoking a few days ago. A very good reason to gripe .
Told me she hadn't set a good example because she smoked for 38 years.
It will be 2 years this September that she quit smoking and she told me that my quitting the January before her... it gave her the strength to quit.
Even if I start again ...she will not, she said. : 0 )
I'm honored! I shit you not!
My parents both smoked. It did not influence me to.
For those of you that have followed my blog, you know I was in my 40's when I picked that nasty habit up.
My sister Nancy never smoked. My brother Larry picked it up his first few years in the Navy. Quit and hasn't smoked since he was 20. My brother Ron smoked all his life.
Same with drinking.....My dad was an alcoholic, my mother was almost a tee totaler.
Nancy and Ron and I drank sometimes on special occasions, Larry gave that up about the same time as the cigarettes and does not have a drink .......even on special occasions.
Is that odd? Everyone of us knew our dad's ugly mouth and disposition whaen he drank.
None of us wanted to be like our dad.
Jill came back at 11:27 p.m. It's 11:57p.m. Sunday...Almost Monday.
Goodnight....morning comes early. I shit you not!
8:30 a.m. Hubby is still snoring as is the rest of the house.
I woke at 7, fed Charlie who was sitting patiently outside the door, read some blogs and am trying not to wake anyone. So far so good.
Finding myself yawning. By the time the house is awke and I have hubby settled with what he needs, I'll be climbing back in bed.
Got to thinking that not everyone is still asleep so went into another room and took the phone off the hook . Good thinking!
One less thing for hubby to bitch about. : 0 )
Got a refill of my coffee and gave the ferrets fresh water and food.
Now I hear stirring behind me......swiveled my chair around...........yup, one UP. 8:59 a.m.
Logan sleeps even later, but nothing wakes him.
Good morning world. Time to get hubby's juice, etc.
Where ever you go, what ever you do...................have a great day. Stay cool.
Thats All Folks!
P.S. After getting his juice to him and while standing in front of the stove waiting for the tea water to boil...
I hear....."where the Hell is my tea."
Explained I was waiting for the water to boil, which was followed by," how much water did you put in there?"
Again explained I heated what was in the pot already.
Surely it's going to be a better day than the way it started. ?????

Oh gosh, these men. Mine is much the same...I have to do everything...but then, I only have myself to blame. He was pretty darned independent until he got sick..and then I spoiled him.
