D D Took 3 quick snapshots ,turned the

sprinkler on in the garden area and beat it back inside.
Did not think to take a picture of the two pretty red ripe grape tomatoes.
Popped them in my mouth. : 0 )
Another muggy day is what it looks and feels like out there right now..
Hubby woke at 8:45 a.m. and Jill at 9:30. Grandson Logan and his friend Kenny are still asleep.
As usual ...when they are together they stay up late.
Last hour I was aware of them being up .................was almost midnight.
Hubby just turned the Weather Channel on.    Rain showers tonight. : 0 )
I'm still sipping my black Dunkin hazelnut coffee and he has had his jiuce and 2 cups of green tea.
He can't carry anything unless he can carry it in his pj or jeans pocket.
Mostly remembers to put his water thermos in his pocket when heading to the dinner table.
Which reminds me............................Jill made a fantastic potato dish last night to go along with a delishious meatloaf. She never makes the meatloaf exactly the same. Just adds whatever her heart desires at the time.
This potato dish was to die for......definately not low calorie though.
Did not watch the entire process..........she peeled, cut and boiled yellow potatoes. Then whipped them with cream, butter and seasonings. Meanwhile she sauteed alot of sliced onions in butter.
Put the whipped potatoes on the bottom of a casserole dish, added and spread the onions on top and then she had shredded some kind of white cheese up and sprinkled that heavily on top.
Baked it in the oven 10 minutes or so.
If anyone is interested, let me know and I will ask her exactly what she used as well as the kind of cheese.
Her son Gil came to visit and when he saw her making meatloaf ............he stayed for supper.
He loves meatloaf!
Logan and Kenny do not!  Logan did take the required taste of the meatloaf and potato dish.
One taste. Some things he didn't like....he now likes.   Not so with the meatloaf.
Maybe someday.
Nor does Erzi like meatloaf.  Erzi is their 8 year old stepbrother.
Erzi has always been a fussy eater. There isn't much he does like. Fruit is something he likes which Logan does not. Cereal is another.
Young Gil was babysitting Erzi and Erzi has been here many times in the past.. Even has stayed overnight a few times last year. Before that we heard.....dad and Julie say it's not NORMAL to have Erzi stay overnight here.
So last year when they needed someone to watch him....it was NORMAL. This year due to the fact that they now know I am in contact with Erzi's dad...............it may not be Normal again to have him stay in his ex wife's home overnight.
When my ex son in law fro Hell is home,  he makes Erzi eat whatever is put on his plate.
Logan and young Gil are exempt. As Logan tells it, " dad says, they are old enough to make their minds up about some things."
Here we have never done that to ours or Erzi and I'm hoping that his mom is not when the ex from Hell is away at college in MS or as now when he is on what I gleened as a sabatical in Wyoming.
One time I hear it's to meet a famous retired 80 year old attorney, Jerry Spence.
Last night I overhear young Gil tell his mom that his dad and a group of people climbed a mountain and some of them were crying .......Spiritual moment? ????
The ex son in law from Hell is an Atheist.  Puzzled as to how he was involved in this event.
He certainly wasn't moved by the moment because he told his son it was funny to see them crying.
Then my ears hear he gets FREE WiFi....Whatever that is....I'm not familiar with all the latest and greatest.
He says his dad isn't letting that be known to the others, because they would want to use it.
He said they would have to pay for WiFi. ???   Must be an expense they did not want to incur.???
Oh before young Gil decided to stay and eat...he had to call the bank and see if it was still open. This was around 5:30 p.m.  Closed... He had a large student loan check of his fathers that he was told to put in the bank as soon as it came in the mail.  Needed to pay bills. hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
I'm still puzzled as to how he qualified for student loans. His wife Julie makes over 80k a year, plus she gets $230 a week child support for Erzi and they get $1,800 a month from the sale of their business.
They sold the business Hawkes Den pizza  and subs, but not the contents ( ovens, all machines, coolers, etc.)
I'm figuring he did something not legal as has been his practice.
True ...he don't work. Well not above the table as when he operated the Hawks Den.  He knew how to get paid without it being on the books.
So how does one get these loans?  You fill out forms saying you have no income....neglect to mention you are married and what your wife's income is and the good ole USA hands you money?
I know it gets paid back so much at a time  so many months I think after you graduate.
Am sure if not already...he will think of a way to try and beat paying that back.
Maybe he has grandois ideas that he will become rich and famous as a trial attorney like this Jerry Spence.
Yesterday was pretty much a repeat of the day before.
I took long naps. Showered in the evening.
Ryan came after work to swim by himself.
Tracie did not come over....her car was there so I know she had left her apartment in another town to sit in her mom's house and watch programs she had recorded.
She says she has most everything she wants out of the house, but now while her 2 brothers are away on 2 weeks vacation she needs to unload her car back into the house.
Then go to her apartment and load some things up in her car so she can call the apartment manager to have whatever is leaking down from the apartment up above her repaired.
If she left her place like it is .............she would be reported for the clutter piled up and may lose her Section 8 housing.         Her words....not mine.
I'm feeling more alert today. May get out to make some returns and get my new glasses.
Sounding like a broken record...........am I ?????   :  0 )

Grandson Trevor's 10th birthday is the 17th.  Want to get him one of those DSL thingies.
Know his parents can't afford much............as Cheryl said a few days ago..........feels guilty enjoying a trip to the beach , so she don't go. Stretching a buck is more important than pleasuring herself ,she said.
Also said she couldn't enjoy herself knowing that money needed to be used on other things.
She is punishing herself for loosing the money she won in the lottery to a shyster and keeps hoping the state treasurer of MA will recoup some of it for her.
Actually it was her idea to get their monies in a lump sum instead of in 20 yearly payments and her husband is the one whom dealt with the shyster.
Whatever.................it's been better than 4 years ago.  She has aged and is bitter. sigh!
When her husband proposed this idea of selling his winning lottery ticket to moi....................I warned him not to.            sigh!
They have lived through Hell since.  I shit you not!
Imagine .................scratching a 4 million dollar scratch ticket.
Just imagine!
Now imagine loosing your home......being homeless and in shelters and not having the money for some of the basics now. They rented a place a year ago and are barely making it from month to month. : 0 (

Just ventured to the other end of the house where Jill's room is.
She has showered and was about to dry her hair.
Earlier she had told me that Kevin that her brother Sonny was best friends with til they grew up and went their own ways.......passed away.
An opening came to tell her what her oldest son Ryan told to me.
He will never accept anyone in her life that supports or encourages her drinking.
That set her off. I drink because I want to. No one is going to tell me I can't drink, not even my own son.
I did not tell Mike not to drink. I did not blah, blah, blah. I did not tell you not to go out dancing and drinking.
His father and step mother are alcoholics.  Does he tell them they are drunks. ???
I said he doesn't visit them in NH often. .Just special occasions from what I have seen and he has 2 half brothers that are now grown that he loves.
Reninded her she was a minor and Mike drank beer and did not get drunk but 2x's that I can remember.
Well he drove with beer in him with us kids in the car. I could just see me telling him I didn't want to get in the car  when he had drank beer was her retort.   She had so many more.
Reminded her that Ryan will be 29 this year. He is not a minor.
To which I heard.........that does not matter. I am living my life. I'm 48 ...my life is more than half way over.
I don't have to drink...I choose to drink.  I don't have to drink everyday...I don't crave a drink when I wake up in the morning. I have one more job in life to do and that is to raise Logan.
If I was in danger of loosing him, I would stop drinking.
I ( meaning me) should know by now that in talking about her drinking  it only further makes her want to drink.
It's her life. No one will tell her how to live it.
The same is true for Randy she told me..When his friend Fred tells him to slow down on his speed driving...he pushes it up another 10 miles per hour.
GUILTY! When I drive with him, I also tell him I am scared and please lower the speed. You have no timetable, you can't afford a speeding ticket, I want to live if you don't, etc.  Does he lower the speed? No.
Thinks it's a joke. Everything is a joke to Randy. Has been since he was 2 years old.
Sooooooooooooooo as I'm writing this................next time he needs me to do something for him that requires me to get in his vehicle..........NOT getting in. My car, me driving or NO favor!
So back to Jill.
Mind you this was all spoken by myself in a calm, even voice.
No raised voice.......hers was somewhat louder.
My kids will not tell me what to do......it's my life. I could die any day....look at Sonny's friend Kevin. He is younger than me.  He's dead.
I don't have to drink every day.
Somewhere in there...........I got to ask.........."for all of last week, what day last week did you not drink?"
None, she said.
Apparently I chose to drink everyday last week was her retort.
Think I heard in all of that , "I like the way it makes me feel."
I agreed with her that anyone telling her she was drinking too much would not stop her from drinking.
Then heavy hearted..... I walked the 18 steps back to my bedroom.
Hubby heard none of it.  Just as well.
Put what I remembered down in this post.
It was long enough before I ventured to the kitchen .
1 p.m.
She has gone off ............Logan has 3 friends here playing XBOX.
Not in the mood to go to the other end of town for my glasses or up to the center of town to return things.
That's All Folks!

  1. Love your garden and don't blame you one bit for not staying out there in all this humid weather. We had a bit of rain so far, not much, just enough to wet the ground. I've been here in AC all day so will find out the temp in a little over an hour when I leave to go home. Those mashed potatoes sure sound wonderful. Wouldn't mind having the recipe.
