D D How beautiful is this ?

This was the centerpiece at our table and for all the tables at that wedding I attended at The Club At Boca Pointe in Boca Raton on Saturday, March 5th.
They sat at the top of tall glass pillars and the aroma was to die for. :0)

My DIL DID NOT like the smell and I could have taken the centerpiece home ( as all her co workers left when we did ), but she warned me beforehand it was not riding in her car.
No one at our table took it home. :0(
I GOT OVER IT!!!!  I shit you not!  :0)

The table next to ours. Beautiful hall and the bride and grooms guests ( including themselves ) danced like crazy and kept the dance floor FULL.
He looks aged, he has aged.........sigh!
We took hubby home yesterday and DIL DEB gave him a haircut. He needed one badly.
His legs were very weak when he tried to use his Canadian crutches to walk into the house.
We put him back in his wheelchair and once inside he made his way to the breakfast bar and pushed a few chairs aside. Got his wheelchair in between them and locked the wheels and practiced standing by grasping the granite top to pull himself up. He would stand awhile ( holding onto the bar ) , then sit. Over and over. :0)
I took this picture as he was standing up and holding on.
Let me tell you....by the time we got to Sonny's BBQ to eat ...he walked in using HIS CRUTCHES. :0)
Slow, but steady. :0)
No Mystery meat for him yesterday. He got his REAL DEAL $5.99 ...sliced pork on Texas Toast with a side of BBQ beans and a tall half and half iced tea ( half sweetened and half unsweetened ).
When I ask him what he has eaten every day he always tells me it was a Mystery meat and he has no idea what was on his plate for meat. :0)  It's a standing joke with us.
We took a ride around Siesta Keyes. Lot's of tourists and locals out and about.
Restaurants looked FULL and the beach and water was being used by many.
Medicare Rules.....only four hours away from the facility he is in .:0(
He was ready for a nap. :0)  We got him signed in right on time and he would have 2 hours of rest before his supper tray came.  Today DIL Deb and I will talk to rehab.  Legs, legs, legs. Walk, walk, walk.
Just called him. For supper last night...they brought him pizza.  :0( Hubby can't have CHEESE.
He was still full from dinner anyway.
Poor Fred his room mate can't have tomato products. Not only did he have pizza on his tray, but also zitti with a tomato sauce.
DIL  DEb  added DIETARY to her list to talk to today. !!!!!!!
Poor Fred has no advisary. His wife is divorcing him. A son has come to visit him. If I see him, I just might put a bug in his ear. ;0)
This morning hubby had edible pancakes with a slice of DRY inedible ham.

Got to get my ass in gear and shower and DRESS.
DIL Deb has someone coming this morning to begin to build the waterfall she wants up at the corner of the pool.
This older man Robin's watefalls are One Of A Kind. His vision comes alive as he begins to build it.
Which reminds me.....I want a BETTER camera as my birthday present.
Sunsets on DIL  Deb's cell phone are gorgeous. On my el cheapo Kodak a WASH OUT. sigh!
Think I will be nice to myself.....I shit you not!

That's All Folks!

  3. Absolutely beautiful!

We are going with dish plate dalhias for my bouquet, 5 bundles of 3 each tightly bound so that after the ceremony I can break it apart into a center vase on each table.

    Simple and cheap. ;)

  4. Yes good on Mike for persevering, it would be very easy in his situation to just give up and stay in the chair.
    What is Texas toast???

  5. No one to "remind" a facility, about the necessary stuff.... Like what a person CAN eat, and etc. -sigh-
