D D # 10 greatgrand Gaven Jaymes

entered this world on 7-15-2010.
on his maternal grandparent's anniversary.

For those of you that have been following my blog ...you are aware that his parents were homeless.
Not only are they homeless, but they are shiftless and lazy.
This baby has 3 older siblings that were removed by DSS 3 or 4 years ago and have been adopted.
Amy's sister Amber relented and let her looser husband  in . Amy has always been welcome .
Of course rules have been made. Jobs, pickup after yourself.
None of us see it happening.  Amber is married and has two young children of her own. Money doesn't come easy for that household either, but they work and do their very best to provide. sigh!

Do you remember me saying the other day that my daughter Cheryl called me crying her heart out.
Since they lost their lottery winnings she thinks everyone is laughing at them.
You can't convince her otherwise.  sigh!
From what I gathered from her,  she was invited to a luau at the restaurant her hubby works at.
Has not felt good about being around people for a long time....did not want to go...but went.
They had a best dressed costume contest and even though she wasn't dressed that well ( so she thought) she was called up on the stage.   There was a guy she knew standing next to her in a grass skirt and she reached down to touch the grass and said, " nice skirt Eddie." Hears roars from the audience and looks up at Eddie. He had the pigs head on that they roasted and ate.
She ran off the stage humilated ( her word) . He won.  A pig won....are they saying a pig is better than me?
I couldn't convince her that they were not laughing at her as a person....just the expression she had on her face. She kept saying that people are so cruel, they don't know her, I'll never go there again.  sigh!
My Cheryl is very attractive.  She does a daily workout routine and has no cellulite. Muscles toned in her thighs and calves. Wish now that I had taken a recent picture. Had them stop here after a wake of a person close to her in age that we have all known since the 60's. Some days I don't remember that I own a camera. Was many years since my 110 went the way of the horse and buggy that I even bothered to own one myself. Bought one and handed it to Jill as it was too far advanced for moi . Still not use to this $75 Kodak EasyShare, but I can take a picture with it. : 0 )
She never stopped crying the whole conversation. Doesn't feel her life is worth living.
Cher has been despondant for some time now. She tries to gain strength though her church services and bible study. As much as I say to her that we all go through bad times , some worst than others.....my words fall on deaf ears. Then I hear her say, " mom if you die, I will lose it. You are the only one I can talk to who understands me." Tried to tell her life is for the living and what ever else came quickly to my mind.
Then she tells me that for awhile the day of the wake she hated me.
When I handed her $300 and told her some of it was to replace the money they just spent that very day on a new battery for their van and the rest was for Trevor's birthday gift.
I had thought he would like the latest DS ? that takes pictures even and a few games.
Being that I do so much for Logan that lives here I wanted to do something special for Trevor. Keep in mind that whenever I purchase a big item for a young grandchild, I do not want my name on that gift.
From Mom & Dad or Mom.  I send all my grands a card with $10.
It's not much, but hubby hasn't worked since 1984 and you raise 9 kids and see how much you saved for retirement by the time you are 48 and your wage earning days are taken from you.
Had I known that her thoughts would be on the bills that she could have paid with that money, I would have told her to use it as she wished.  I could have done so much with that money she told me.
Sigh! Wish I had known that.  Yes, I do know that they are struggling and many times I have helped out with what I could.  School clothes, Christmas, food,  My heart is heavy.

As far as yesterday went, Jill worked until I assume 5 p.m.  Logan and his friends wanted to go to McDonald's earlier in the p.m. and then to a putt putt ? next door. Handed him a $20. Now it's going on 6:30 and I called her. Oh I'm waiting for Butchie....he has Moose  installation..his last to officiate at before he steps down... Should be home by 8 she says.
After that conversation I went across the strret to head Tracie off at the pass...........mentioned the day before she had some disposable baking pans to give me if I wanted them. While there she asked if I would go to the Outback and eat with her.  Had been eating fast food. Home I go and run that by hubby. His reply was , fine as long as I don't have to go...so I heated him up some of the minestrone soup he wanted.
Puttered around here and there .... after the kids got out of the pool and the sun was off it...turned the pump on and added chlorine. Made the skunks pan of food up.  All that fun kind of shit. Now it's nearing 8p.m.
Dialed her cell phone again ..only to get her answering machine. Left her a message asking when she was taking over. Logan and 2 friends were here and I was going out.
The Moose Hall is on the way to the Outback  hmmmmmmmmmmmm
Butchie's truck was there and so was her car. Had Tracie stop and rang the buzzer to be let in. Searched faces and spotted  them at the bar. She could tell I wasn't a happy camper.
Like why are you mad mom type of talk.  You really can't be mad...seriously...have a drink...invite Tracie in for a drink...we'll go home after we finish our drink.
You know I declined................... don't you.
I mentioned that Ryan had come by to swim and in the diningroom he said to me, "sooooooooooo, when is Butchie going to replace the window he broke?"
The alarm that my eyes showed must have given him alarm. I told him papa didn't know and if he hadn't heard him, I want to keep it that way.
Butchie pipes up at the bar, "I'll get it fixed tomorrow."
It's tomorrow, we shall see.
Tracie and I got back at 10.  Hubby told me that they came in at 9:30. So much for going home after they finished the drink in front of them. She was slurring her words at 8p.m.

Just got off the phone with Cheryl. She called to tell me she was sorry about that call she made to me the other night. Has had time to reflect.  Didn't want to go up on stage as it was.... stage fright, self concious, all that.  Hubby won Worst Shirt ...$20 gift certicate, Trevor won ? $5.  It was so good to hear her upbeat as it's not often. Apologized for all her words that night. I didn't take the "hate" word personally. It wasn't said in anger. It was just for a moment .

Jill is working. SIL has 2 cookouts going today. One for 150 and another 175. These are company cookouts. Looks like some companies are doing better. : 0 )
It's going to be a muggy day, if it isn't already. She shut the house up and turned the A/C on before she left. Last night we used only a sheet for a cover and had the door opened.

Build it and they will come.

Had my two cups of hazelnut coffee and just opened my first Tab of the day. Critters cages need cleaning and fresh water and food.  and, and, and.................I'm as happy as a pig in shit.  That's All Folks!

  1. Well..... First of all I want to commend you for putting up with all this family drama. I could not/would not do it!
We have a son who provided horrors for us & suffice it to say he no longer resides with us. He pulls a disappearing routine for years at a time to "punish" us.
...."Children.... God gave them to us so when it is our time to go we welcome it!"
    I kid you not!!
    Love,
    Marilyn
