Dear Diary More of yesterday, all my days

Getting off to a late start ended up with more done than  moi anticipated.
Minutes after signing off Kid 4 Randy came from N.H. to finish off the cement work around the bulkhead. . Not only did he do that, but he hung lights all around down there.  Next project he has in mind to do is to improve ( replace our dryer venting system) where it won't come apart and will be easy to clean every few years. Sounds good to me.
Since hubby hasn't been able to get things done in a long time, moi has been buying the tools she wants to use in the yard , including a super duper wet/dry vac,  leaf blower, even my own little tool box for quick fixes so that I don't have to ask  hubby where each of those are as I need them. Moi gets peppered with questions on what I am up to and WHY.  Times a wasting ....explaining myself ,so to speak. He even had one of the kids pick me up a small battery charged saw from him as his gift to me one Christmas..... Much easier to trim dead branches off the azeleas and rhododendruns and the like. Much appreciated ,especially if it makes my life easier.
Jill cut the front and back lawns, spread lime.... as if that wasn't enough she, Logan and 2 of his friends OPENED the pool. She put Shock in it and vacuumed it, once yesterday and again this morning. This is April! The water is freezing... Our night temperature is still dipping into the 30's.
\Usually she opens it right before Memorial Day... Would say WE, but even then it's too early. All the stuff is falling from trees still and the water is really not a swimming temp. either. Not to mention the chlorine it takes to maintain the pool. Was getting 100 lbs for $100 on sale up until this economy went crazy.. Now it's $150.
Been using 75 lbs of the granulated stuff a season. Opened in April it will take the whole hundred pounds.
Moi cleaned the fridge out and was gopher. Hubby put batteries in the solar lights and left them for me to put where I wanted them. All in all a very good day.
Logan had not one, but 2 friends sleep over last night. Never thought they would fall asleep. They were still going at 1 a.m. Logan always has been the 1st one in the pool once it's open..Today was no different. I shit you not! The L Street Brownies are well known for walking into the freezing ocean in Boston when the snow is still flying... he might, he just might join them in a dip someday.
He and his friends jumped in...were out as soon as they could catch their breath..  Twice!!!!!
Daughter says she took a picture.... maybe I'll remember to post it before the summer is over. LOL
What time do sleep over friends usually go home? It's 3 minutes after 3. They are outdoors today in this beautiful 65 degree weather. lmao , he just ran in to tell his mom that the pool is already starting to warm up and is jumping in again. This time moi took a picture. Logan swam the length of the pool... all 4 have decided that the water wasn't as warm as they thought it was.. Yep, I said 4.... kid his age 3 houses away came over and went back home for a bathingsuit. 11 year old boys are crazy like that. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!
If nothing else, moi has to say...the pool looks much better opened than covered.  Butchie came here this morning after 8, just in time to finish the second vacuuming for her.  Jill stayed home all day and all night. Thank you Lord.  She also did the grocery shopping this afternoon for me... usually does this on Tuesdays and I venture out maybe one more time.  Is it me???  Moi thinks we should have direct deposit to the local grocery store we shop at. YOU????  Can't imagine how I could feed a large family now. No meal is CHEAP.
There was a small store ( not a variety store ) where once I could purchase 3 lbs of hamburger or chicken for a DOLLAR. Those were the days!!!  I shit you not!
Been doing a little this and that in the yard...going back out to do more of the same.
That's All Folks!
