D D I can put on "a good face " while I'm here

Tomorrow night I leave for home and what awaits me with my nephew.

This time down here...I didn't get to see my brother. ( My only living sibling. ) :0(
Yeah....I know he's up in Jacksonville....a four hour drive. It's the excuse my SIL Judy gave me that I am fuzzy on. One of her sisters that lives in TX has been touch and go for the past six months and not expected to live. The same sister and brother in law that were down on their luck some years back and they invited them to stay with them and her sister showed her appreciation by screwing my brother. The same sister that she didn't speak to for ages after that as her heart was broken.  ???????????? Yeah...I know, blood is thicker than water. The OLD ME probably would have done the same thing.
:0(  We do what we do ....because???  WE JUST DO!
Last year it was for financial reasons that they couldn't come and my son and DIL made them welcome to spend the weekend here, so I offered to give them a few hundred for gas, etc.. I was HAPPY TO....what the hay.  We do what we do because.....we are family. I do love them. We had a great visit and I was sad to see them leave for home.  Since then there have been a few hints that they need a new roof on their double wide and I'm sure they do. They bought it new more than 20 years ago. SIL's mom passed and left her money a few years back and what did they do with the money? Certainly not replace their roof or save it. :0(
I've ignored the hints. Can't ignore the desperation in my nephew who will soon be homeless and hubby never could stand him...even as a child. sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh We do have that 5th wheel trailer sitting in the yard ( he's begging to stay in) chock a block full of shit that kept getting shoved in there since hubby couldn't get up into it any more. The fridge in there quit working. Our bathroom gets tied up plenty as it is ...... Drew is not easy to love nor like :0(  ( my parent's ruined him.) His mate Pat is a very likeable guy. They married May 31st just days after Gay Marriage became legal in Massachusetts. Soooooooooooooooo they would come as a "pair." Like WTF can I do??? I'm not keen myself on having more people under foot and having to cross my legs before I piss myself longer than I already have to,. sighhhhhhhhhh
I am sooooooooooooooooooo torn.
They both have "Aids" and Drew hasn't worked in years due to his health. Pat lost his GREAT job some years back and has been working when he can through Temp Agencies at a fraction of the wages he once earned. NOW he is so behind in the field he was in...he takes any job. Last year they lost their house. NOW they can't afford to even keep the apartment with his (Pat's) sparotic work.
Folks....this isn't going to be pretty with hubby.  I shit you not!
If he was going to divorce me ten years back when I rescued the pomeranian Lady because HE DIDN'T WANT ANOTHER DOG cause we already had one!!!

Almost since I've been here in FL I've been crying on the inside. I've put on a good face since I've been here. Tomorrow night I fly home ....dreading every mile of the flight and what lies ahead.
Haven't even shared the "good news " of winning that thousand with hubby,Jill,Randy,Cheryl.
My heart has been too heavy.
Is something wrong with me!  I find trouble without even looking for it! sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Looks to me like all I've done is whine, complain and AIR THE DIRTY LAUNDRY!
I'm going to have to try to figure this out by myself .  Can tell you right from the git go that Jill isn't going to be on my side. She does like Pat very much, but she will feel it's an intrusion on her living conditions .It would be...BUT!
If her son Ryan, his wife Sarah and grand baby Gavin needed a roof over their heads she'd be on it like "flys on shit!"
Okay enough of my woes. We all have em! This is the way I LOOK AT IT!
orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr IS IT!

(((hugs)))

That's All Folks!

  2. I love you as well Pat and you have the biggest heart of anyone I know but you can't save 'em all. But having just had some amazing help (that I didn't ask for) from extended family I know what a difference it can make in a life.
And sorry I haven't been here for you when you needed me, but I am now.

  3. Are there no resources there for them? Here in the city there are amazing resources for AIDS patients. Organizations find them wonderful, furnished apartments. I have a client who just got a one bedroom. I'm sure each state has its own. Have they looked into it? Sometimes they have to go into a shelter first, but usually don't have to stay long. I understand your wanting to help, and perhaps the best way you can help them is to look on the computer for AIDS organizations and see what kind of help there is out there. That trailer doesn't sound like a place they need to be.

  4. i was wondering the same as Mary..maybe there are other options. The trailer doesn't seem like a good place either, not in the long run anyway...i don't think Jill can talk though after bringing Gil in with all his baggage, but i can understand her feelings. Good luck with it all...i hope you can come up with a solution.

    1. I hope you figure it out what the right thing to do is. I'm happy you at least had a good time while you were gone.

  6. I have an idea! let him,Pat, your daughter and h boyfriend live together and keep your grandson home with you! Can't thy get SSI or Disability? Hell the woman next door gets it for being to fat! Welfare? Something! I know you hate the idea of being even more crowded but I honestly don't think you could live with yourself knowing they were homeless. I couldn't either sweetie. Stop stressing, enjoy your last days, things always have a way of working out.

  7. Call the Aids Action Committee in Boston. I know personally that they provide help with apartments, medical help, etc.
