D D What were you doing at 2 A .M. ???

Two a.m. found me waking with some leg cramps ( off and on STILLl ):0(  Not as bad as I've had them, but bad enough to wake me up. I laid there thinking WTF....hubby is sleeping SOUNDLY and it's you that blows it. Made my coffee, knitted, cleaned out my purse looking for THE KEY to my small safe where I think I put the dozen or so methadone pills along with MAD MONEY, Was unsuccessful  in finding that key, ( but my HANDY DANDY hammer and screw driver) wiill open it. I shit you not! At that time I made  a decision to put all the crap I carry around in a hand held purse INSTEAD OF an over the shoulder. That is where all my right arm problems PAIN came from years back when I was working. If you needed a safety pin, I had it. If you needed scissors, I had a small pair. Get the picture?  :0)  Talk about weight draping over my shoulder.  My chiropratic  boss said , NO MORE carrying a shoulder purse FOR YOU and between that and the cortizone injection....things were gooooooooooooooooooo D!
Now I've gotten STUPID again or is that forgetful. ;0) When I throw that yarn forward to knit and that sharp pain hits....OBOY!

Jill just threw the two half turkeys in the oven. It's 9 a.m. approx.
Where was I ?????  OH...back to 2 a.m.  Hubby woke in pain around 3 and I gave him 2 oxys and he went back to sleep. When he woke for the day at 8:30 I gave him two more along with his other meds.
Yesterday he wanted to talk to his sister Ann and I dialed it for him. ( ANN never married and is in the financial postion now that she needs to move out of another brother's house so that he can sell it ) and go into Elderly Housing.  She has a dog. A BIG DOG. One of those water spaniel types with curly tight hair. She's had this dog a good seven years or more. SHE LOVES HER DOG and is trying to find a home for him.
. :0( sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh NO BIG DOGS ALLOWED IN HOUSING.
They talked and talked ( which is something they never found the time to do before retirement ). :0)
I walked in the room after they hung up and asked hubby why he didn't offer to take her dog for her. He gave me no reply.........maybe he is chewing his cud on that. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
This Zoloft must be mellowing me out...cause the MORE THE MERRIER, right now. I know how I would feel if I ever had to give one of mine up.
Four a.m. came and I took a swig of cold medicine and went back to bed and.....tossed and turned. Sleep did come though and I next woke at 7:30.
Now here I sit and JILL is doing all the prep work. Even down to sharpening a large knife to cut the turnip.
I love turnip ...didn't when I was a kid. My mom loved it. My oldest Jay loves it, but he wasn't invited this year due to lack of space and energy on both Jill and my part.  Tracie said she loves it. Let there be TURNIP! :0)
Son in FL just called and we had some good laughs. Told him what I told my online friend of years Pea and he said," Go for it, mom." I have one sons blessing Pea.:0)  What's the closest airport to you m/f ? No time like NOW to look at airfares. I shit you not!  My old dogs are just fine as long as they have hubby, so that's A LOAD OFF my mind.:0) I shit you not!

Ya think I should shower and dress in case anyone shows up for pie later?  Jill has all the veggies peeled, cut and sitting in water. Shame on moi.   :0(   Here I am sitting on my ass still at 10:15.

Wishing each and every one of you a Happy Thanksgiving.

That's All Folks!

  1. Stopping by to wish you and yours a very happy Thanksgiving. I love turnips, too, but didn't make them this year. With the move coming up quickly, I'm working with the barest minimum of utensils.

You made me think of the old days when I worked at night at an answering service. After a certain hour it all died down, so I was always carrying a large purse filled with books and things to do. Never listened to everyone's warnings. When you're young and invincible, you always think 'it will never happen to me.'
    Blessings to you and yours,
    Mary
