D D Inquiring minds...had to know.

I stand corrected.  It wasn't  3 weddings.
It was one wedding and 2 receptions.
As I dug into a yummy cake, I had to go ask, "why a sheet cake?"
This was a yellow sheet cake with raspberry filling and whipped cream.  To die for! I shit you not!
The couple got married in Vegas.
Then went to the groom's home state and his family held a reception.
Onto the brides home state of MA and this reception was held for them.
All within a months time.
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

It took Randy and Butch until 3 p.m. to put that heavy storm door on.
It's a beauty.
Credit where credit is due. Randy said he couldn't have done it without Butchs' help.
There will be no more frost between my door and storm door.
I will be able to see out the door glass panels and storm door. When it steamed or frosted up, I was unable to.  When we were beckoned to come see it and get a viewing of how it opens and shuts we dutifully followed behind Randy like children into the parlor.
Butch had spoken wrong about the door handle having to be changed.  AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Closes like a dream...nothing moved.
I was so damned tired I fell asleep during the last hour or so of installation with hubby.
Woken a few times to be asked where scizzors were and another time. ???
Pointed towards the direction and dozed off again.
I remember the ????  clear sealing tape.
Randy sealed the screen to the storm door back up in the box the entire unit came in and stored it under the house.
My energy level is for shit. :0(
It's almost 4 p.m. Monday October 25th.
I'll be nice this day tol use Butchs' name instead of using whine bucket. :0)
His birth given name is Norman.
All that yelling out of hubby and he seems as pleased as punch at having the new storm door.
Down the line he will deny not wanting a new storm door.  I won't argue the fact! I shit you not!
He has done that about so many things in the past.
Lady....I know I must have already told the story about Lady.
When I first saw her and saw the condition she was in....I wanted her.
Fleas, matted fur and all.
I began working on the people that had her in Florida.  Ashamed to say it was a niece.
When she told me her husband beat Lady, I begged, "please let me have her."
Every time she came to the house to visit her mom and dad I begged her.
Lady had been given to her. They had other dogs that ran free with no medical care and never enough to feed their kids let alone the dogs.
Kids called one time as teens bawling because one of their dogs was dying of Parvo .
I listened to them beg for it to be taken to the vet. sigh!
I'll cut this story short. She gave me Lady and hubby was in a rage and going to divorce me.
Did not want another dog PERIOD! Jumped up from the table without eating and went into the room we were sleeping in.
My brother and SIL looked aghast at the situation they were in the midst of. .
When he told me the next day he was divorcing me, I told him to go ahead and look stupid before a judge wanting a divorce because of a dog.
In the past I would have cried and cried myself to sleep.  Key word here: PAST
We have had two dogs before. House dogs.
We had one dog at that time. Ginger, my chihuahua.
Long story short...he now tells anyone that sees her for the first time and admires her beauty and cuteness that WE rescued her.
I don't bother to correct him.  Let sleeping dogs lie.   Excuse the pun.

Five p.m. I just walked out into the other rooms.
Her room is quiet. Door shut. Butch has left. Earlier I heard him telling her she has no concience by her actions. No consideration of others.
Logan was doing homework.  Now the parlor was empty and the TV was shut off.
Peeked in his room. He is curled up with his head under his covers sound asleep.
Looks like they both had a late night...which they both did.
Even at 10:30 when I raised my voice to him to get to sleep it was LATE.
Then for Jill to call him.. sigh!
I do know he was awake when she called him. TV going and bedroom light on.
Yeah.... answering a cell phone doesn't require those actions.
I did hear Butch telling her she could have got herself killed.  He had been trying to call her and of course she didn't answer him.
I didn't even try to call her.

   Tuesday morning. 10/26
Fell asleep after 10:30 p.m.
Hubby was bummed out that I couldn't keep my eyes open to finish watching the program we were watching together. sigh!
Jill ran out for subs for our supper. Butch didn't come back around. hmmmmmmmmmmm
Efffin doorbell rang at 7:30 p.m.  I was playing a bingo game online.  A no brainer. :0)
Tracie with the empty, clean food container she had asked me if I wanted to be returned the day before.
It was a no it can wait then and could have waited for weeks. I shit you not!
I sat at the table with her and told her at 8p.m.  I was watching Dancing With The Stars with hubby.
At 7:50 I removed lasagne from the fridge and handed her a piece with a paper plate, plastic knife and fork and a paper napkin.
She has a microwave at home and across the street.
Earlier Logan only managed to eat half his sub.  He's sick.
This morning he didn't go to school.
Don't remember one dream ..........not even a hint .......hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Did have the usual noises this morning.
Lady whimpering to be let out...I obliged her and put her back to bed.
Jill getting up to get Logan up for school and making her cup of tea. Toilet flushing.
Lady needing out a second time to poo.
Only things missing was the shower running and another 2 flushes.

It's going to be 70 degrees today. Need a stiff kick in the ass. Must find some ambition to get out and do winter preperation work.
AH HA !!! Small bits of my dream are coming to me. Not enough to make sense of.  :0(
One of my sons. A swaddled baby. hmmmmmmmmmmm
I never swaddled my babies. Well not with their arms pinned inside of their receiving blankets any how.
Arms were out.

Okay...enough of this babble.  Time to get the show on the road.
This pep talk I'm giving myself is all show. I shit you not!
That's All Folks!

  1. That cake really sounds good. Just my 'cup of tea'. Glad you got your storm door. We've got to do something with our door this year. Too much cold air comes in, but I rent and don't want to spend a fortune fixing things.
