This driving fine snow that's coming down looks to be making for some nasty driving or walking.
From the weather reports, it was my understanding that it would not begin until 10 a.m.
5:20 a.m. the house phone rings. One ring and Jill and I must have grabbed for the nearest phone at the same time.
Hubby was awakened and immediately out of his mouth came the words " It must be the efffin asshole."
It was a recording from the school department letting parents know that school was being called off to keep them safe.
Of course I had to explain what I heard to him and soon after I heard Jill up making her tea.
Took me forever to fall back to sleep and I can safely assume the same for hubby.
Arose at seven and hubby is awake at eight.
Yesterday he tried again to nail the W.B. to the cross ( figuratively speaking.)
Asked me if both her car and his truck was gone.
Told him his truck was here. "Oh I thought maybe she told him she didn't want him to go with her to NH and he might have been pissed."
Not that that hasn't happened before. This time no. They went together in her car. ( cheaper on gas )
Seems that I procrastinated about going for groceries until two ish and then stopped next door at Burlington Coat Factory before getting something to make supper. Potroast was out of the question for last nights meal, but I picked one up for today orrrrrrrrrrrrr tomorrow. ;0)
Bought shrimp, green peppers and mushrooms and made Shrimp Cacciatore for our supper.
Logan came home as we were eating...followed by Jill and the W.B. and as W.B. passed by us he said, " that looks good."
I replied,"it is."
Later on he heated some up for himself after asking Jill to set him some aside before it was refridgerated.
Told you I don't know how to cook for two.
Logan had made himself and others hamburgers before he came home. It's a hamburger, hot dog and take out house at his dads. He's proud of himself that he can cook his own dogs and burgers, but OH HOW HE Loves his mom's cooking and mashed potatos and gravy when he is home here.
Me too, Me too! I shit you not!
He's still asleep and doesn't realize yet that he has the school day off.
As I turned onto my street yesterday, I saw Tracie waiting for me. She gave me heck for driving saying she would have taken me and then she headed home.
I know she would have, but all the streets are bare to the asphalt except for mine and it was daylight.
Seeing over the snow banking at the end of my street to see if traffic is coming and make my turn onto that road is difficult, but I managed to nose my way out without getting it whacked off. :0)
Daughter Cheryl called me a second time yesterday within hours of the first call.
This time she just called to tell me about the birds she has been feeding outside and their antics.
She took pine cones and tied them on fishing line one by one. Slathered them with peanut butter and rolled them in birdseed and them used disposable gloves to work this combination into every nook and cranny.
Hung it up and the birds are having a good old time on it.
She spends alot of time watching them and knows which ones show first to eat and the last to eat.
I have no doubt that Cheryl has mood swings or whatever they are called. CRS moment for moi.
Others have told her she needs to take an RX'd med for them....which only insulted her and she claims she does not believe in taking a drug for that because nothing is wrong with her. sigh!
Hubby needs refills on some of his med's. I need to make a call to the Boston V.A. and hope his doctor is given the message. Last month for the first time.. he wasn't given the message . :0(
It was his primarys nurse that efffed up, not Boston.
The V.A. keeps intituting new methods and I'm not happy with the latest way we have to get through to his primary. New isn't necessarily better! I shit you not!
Just removed the snow just outside my sliding glass door and threw more bird seed down.
Cardinals, snowbirds and sparrows galore with an occasional blue jay, titmouse and chickadee are vying for the mixed seeds. .
A squirrel figured out how to get the woodpecker block down and I retrieved that in time before it took off for parts unknown with it.;0)
Okay, time to make my call to the V.A. and hunker down for another wintry day.
Bought a big pot roast yesterday. Knew I'd be feeding more than two. :0) While I do like the meat, I like the veggies cooked with it, BETTER. Yum!
Dang, this is so nice to have little to write about. I could get use to this. I SHIT YOU NOT!
That's All Folks!

LOL, great cartoons...WB has his meals figured out doesn't he ? Best restaurant in town ;)

Do you do your pot roast in the oven? An American friend of mine sent me a photo of hers yesterday (must be pot roast week) and it was in a baking dish in the oven. I do mine covered on top of the stove. Or in the slow cooker.
