Does a rug lie?????????????????????????????????????????
Still Wednesday.
Just as I got down on my knees to find my sandals and the like under my bed and get ready to push a vacuum under there, hubby comes out of the bathroom and asks me to take all of his clothes out of his closet so he can work in there putting up wire shelving.
Yuh...I know. He has been working on this awhile now and your guess is as good as mine when he will finish it with his eyes being so bad and having to prop himself up to stand to use his arms.
Everytime I turn around he is asking where his legs are. He sets the Canadian crutches outside his closet in a corner before he goes inside and holds onto the other shelving that has been installed to balance himself. Then he's inside looking for them in there when he needs to come out to find them. sigh!
If my bedroom wasn't a disaster area as it was ............I now have clothes piled up,up,up on his hated chair.
The son Randy came to get Jill to go to Sams Club with him as she is the one with the Membership Card.
While waiting for her....the first thing he did was ask where my laptop was.
Insisted he show me more things and how to burn a CD.
Don't get your fingers on the bottom of the CD, this is where you insert it, don't write on it as the ink stuff will end up getting inside your computer, there are sticker tapes for that, I will get you some sleeves for them, muttering to self each time he incurs a problem. What's this, why did this come up.
Asked if I can go rest . He points to a kitchen chair beside him. Says I need to watch him so I could learn. On and on and onnnnnnnnnnnnnn.
I'm thinking ........son I appreciate what you are trying to do and while I may have never burned a CD, MY FIRST computer was a laptop. I know where to insert the disk.
When he opened my main Tower or whatchamacallit to insert the disc after he burned it to show me....wow what a bunch of dust is in here and I cleaned it for you a few months ago, he said.
I said, what do you expect with a dirt cellar and forced hot air heating. sigh!
Hubby was in and out of his closet. Back and forth to sit on the edge of the bed. Measuring shelving and re-measuring it.
Then he hunts up his thermal top under that pile of clothes and decides he will go out to saw it with his/mine electric jig saw??? or whatever it's called.
Had to help him out and bring a chair for him to sit out. The one he uses at the table as others outside will freeze his ass.
In all of this Randy and Jill and W.B.Maybe take off. My computer is sitting on the table and I gues it's up to me to log off and save my battery.
In hubby comes for a better blade to cut the metal rack and he has two more to do after he gets this one cut and up on his closet wall.
He will not ask W.B. or Randy for help. Always wants to do things himself no matter at how much of a disadvantage he is at in ability to do anything.
I just put a hat on his head. :0)
Meantime I know Tracie will be calling me to see if I am ready to go do my exchanges.
This is my side of the bed where I began my futile attempt.
Pinned the bed ruffle up so I could see under the bed.
Bird seed in milk jugs at the ready to toss out to the birds. ;0)
No sooner typed that line and DIL Kim came to visit and tell us what is going on with her husband, MY SON Jay.
The day he left the hospital ( Monday) he left his house keys in the car saying to her he wouldn't be needing them anymore as he can't go anywhere with this oxygen.
In the hospital it went from living under the Plain St. Bridge to jumping off it. sigh!
She didn't get much sleep Monday night. A little more last night.
Hubby gave up trying to saw that piece of metal shelving with this doozey of a cordless saw he bought me to cut crap outdoors and I've been telling him it sucked.....he now knows that it does. ;0)
I use clippers to prune the Roase of Sharons back the first of April and he thought this saw would make it easier for me and had Jill pick it up as a gift to me last Christmas.
Tracie called while Kim was here and I told her maybe tomorrow I would take her up on her offer of ferrying me around and apologized.
She asked if she could call back to see what I was doing about supper and I told her, "sure."
Just as Kim was leaving Logan came through the door. 1:55 p.m. Just like cloclwork.
I gave Jill a check to pay for a couple of after school programs he wants to do.
Monday and Wednesday Old Classics and New Movies with popcorn served.
Tuesday and Thursday some sort of gym things. Nana has a CRS thing going on at the moment.
C an't R emember S hit!
Those days Jill will have to go pick him up from school .
Hubby is using a hacksaw while sitting on his side of the bed to cut that metal shelving. sigh!.
"Don't worry, we can vacuum up the metal chips", he says to me.
Translated.....you can vacuum.
Jill was back home before Kim left and she just made up tuna fish for sandwiches.
Yelled to W.B. to come make himself one.
Hubby wanted oatmeal so I made that and fed him his lunch.
I heated up leftover American Chop Suey for my lunch before Kim came and while hubby was just outside the sliding door in our room.
Looks like we are all a happy FED bunch. For now anyway. W.B.'s appetite is bigger and more often than any of ours.
Logan is going through the growing stage and seems to always be hungry, but he doesn't eat alot in one sitting.
Last night Jill made a baked whole ham, boiled cabbage, carrots and mashed potatoes.
Ate my share...I shit you not!
I loaded up DIL Kim with turkey before she left and she remarked that it made her supper meal easy. :0)
Jill and I love boiled cabbage. Hubby so so. He never would eat it before he met me. I make it using brown sugar along with the cider vinegar and dry mustard in my boiled N.E. dinner.
He has no problem eating the stuffed cabbage I make either.
Hairdresser coming tomorrow at noon to cut our hair.
Logan said he didn't want his hair cut cause dad says it looks like she puts a bowl on it.
IT DOES NOT!
What the efffffff is he telling Logan that for. I pay the tab!
I came this close to telling Logan his dad looked like he shaved his ass and balls and looked like he was walking backwards.
Ugly S.O.B! I shit you not!
He shaves what little hair he has on his head OFF.
If I don't have enough to gripe and complain about ....invariably I find something. sigh!
Noticed three empty cans of tunafish in the recycle box.
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jill eats but ONE SANDWICH.
How the Hell thick did W.B. make his sandwiches and HOW MANY?
I'm getting loaded for BEAR.
Tomorrow I'll tell her he can put some money towards our groceries and stay the Hell out of the bar when he gets paid.
For supper she was fixing the two of them hamburger patties piled with sliced onions and ? with a packaged Macaroni dish with portabello mushrooms.
After writing that line, I walked to her room.
W.B. was gone!
Asked her how many sandwiches the S.O.B. made. A triple decker she said.
I can't afford him I said and furthermore I'm not getting laid by him either. The latter was said to be smart.
Told her needs to put some groceries in this house instead of his money in the bar.
He was whining to her before he left that he had no money for his meals while at work tomorrow or cigarettes. She told him that she thought she had taken pretty good care of him the last four days.
Yuh, I know, but from now on I'm going to make sure I have money to last me through the week he told her.
To which she replied, Butchie how many times have you told me this same thing.
TO WHICH I REPLIED, I would have said: same song, second verse and made like I was playing a violin.
He left cause he told her she was getting grumpy and was acting tired. I am was what she replied.
Her exema has flared up and her skin is burning.
Heard her making an appointment with a dermatologist today.
Tracie came after dark ( instead of calling).
I fed hubby and went to Good Tymes with her. Thought I would eat sensible and ordered the small portion of the baked haddock, mashed potatos and pickled beets.
Then visions of the grapenut pudding I have had there before danced through my head and my common sense went to Hell in a handbasket. Whipped cream on top ..........ohhhhh yeah!
Her brother Lonnie was there eating. Eats there often. He's divorced and I'm thinking he is around sixty now. He's the oldest of four and Tracie is the youngest at fourty nine.
She will turn fifty on September 2nd and Jill turns fifty September 10th this year.
Here I go with the ages again and wondering where the years have gone.
They have.............and all too fast. :0(
Thursday January 6th
Another day of madness.
Could not get my desktop to work this morning.
Called my provider and got disconnected a few times.
Sending someone out tomorrow to check out my modem, but where the parlor computer and the laptop get internet service I am thinking the problem is with my tower.
Son Randy did not come down from NH today. GO FIGURE!
He could have checked the wires , etc. for me. sigh!
Called the vet and got in with Ginger 45 minutes later. Have med's....Will travel!
Was making phone calls concerning hubbys late med's , calling the vet, calling my IPS and in between all this our hairdresser came at 11.40a.m.
It's a wonder that I have any hair left to cut. I'm always pulling and tugging on it. I shit you not!
Of course this wasn't a day that hubby wanted to stay in bed either. sigh!
Needed help getting into his closet and a folding chair in there, tools, and and and.
This morning at 7:05 I headed to the kitchen to start the coffee and hear, " Good Morning ."
Whine Bucket came here before going to work for 8.
Wanted to say , IT WAS until I saw you here." sigh!
Hoping the rest of the day is less confusing although there is plenty to do to keep me busy.
This morning when I woke I immediately remembered part of two of my dreams.
The last one I would have liked to linger and enjoy the pleasant feeling it brought me, but time and circumstances wouldn't allow. sigh!
I was pulling out of somewhere ( assume a house) and passed by a car parked at the curb just out front of it.
It was my dad and I saw his face as plain as day.
He looked just like I last saw him. His features is what I mean.
While dad was a good provider and I give him that credit, he was a nasty alcoholic and mean to my mom.
Would have rather have seen my mom, but I'll still take dad.
He gave me life. :0)
That's All Folks!

i love cabbage too, grew up with it (was cheap)
ReplyDeleteSounds pretty stressful my friend , i hope you will be able to relax a little on your trip. I usually leave my laptop plugged in because i use it as my main computer. Did you get your tower reconnected ?
Oh my, I don't know how you do it. You are a strong lady, my friend. Glad you are finally gonna put your foot down with WB. The nerve of him eating all your food like that. Now he is really taking advantage.

I tackled the couch cusions today. Under the bed requires taking the whole bed apart and moving it out of the room. And I won't have the energy for that until like... July. :)
ReplyDeleteI would have either tossed every one out of the house or left home by now
