Finished Ryu's sweater. Ta Da !!!
Started the one like it only smaller for his baby sister that turns one the end of November.
The way I am lately it will take me until then to get it done.
Just can't seen to sit working at it like I once did.
This was made using 2 strands held together with Caron Simply Soft. Size 5 and size 10 needles.
Took a little more than the two 7 oz. balls .....damn I miss those 8 oz. balls. I shit you not!
I rather they had gone up on the price back WHEN, instead of putting less yardage in a skein.
Now it's up in price anyway.
Same with the Redheart 8 oz. balls, which are now 7 oz.
So many of my patterns took that 8oz. ball. hmmmmmmmmmm Maybe the companies realized that and that was their strategy to make more money off Suzie Homemaker.
Buttons were $2.42 for 2 back 10 years when I bought these. Don't even think I could find these now.
It's fair to say that this sweater cost at least $17 to make and by the time you add your labor in.......
Have sold them at Craft Fairs, but never asked what I thought I should for them.
Make and give....to people I know will appreciate them as well as family is what I enjoy most.
The Beast!!!
This was taken after I worked straightening yesterday.
Under this chair is where Charlie the feral cat chose to sleep all winter.
Going to put a blanket on this air cushion.
Hubby has 3 air cushions, so I figured he could spare one for Charlie. :0)
These are called...fingers...
This goes in the pool filter and was full of what is called Earth.. white powder stuff.
We have two sets and each year my job is to get soaking wet using a hose to wash all this clay like stuff off and hang it up for the following closing pool season. Fall 2011.
The one I washed up last year was put in a few days ago and the pool will be ready to start up once the cover comes off.
These are my soaked yard work sneakers and soaken jeans legs.
I found that piece I was looking for in the shed..It's called a Gizmo. Thingie wasn't too far off... :0)
The last piece of the puzzle in winterizing the pool was done. Amen!
Presently I am waiting for the axe to fall ...so to speak.
Jill was none too happy with Butch this morning.
He had wanted her to go to his place and help him work on those bankruptsy papers and she pointed out to me that all he had down was play games on our livingroom computer.
That's where he was right before I took my shower to take hubby to the chiropractor.
Come out and find both are gone in their seperate vehicles.
Just as we are ready to step out the door Butch comes in asking if we knew where she was.
He had gone home to shower and change.
Nope...no idea.
After the chiropractor visit we went to Good Thymes to eat lunch and we have to pass the Moose Club on our way there.
Only a few cars parked...hers was one of them. :0(
Come home at 1:45 and his truck is now parked here, but both are gone.
No sooner get in the door and Mary knocks.
If I didn't mention she was here a few days ago...she was.
Her son that was allowed to build his house adjoining hers shut her cable off.
Electricity and cable is all on one bill.
Long story short, both he and his wife want her to sign so they can get a lower interest rate. She has signed twice in the past for loans for them and is afraid they are pulling a fast one on her.
So I listened to her woes and how she got pissed and dialed their phone number 20 times after his wife yelled at her. Oboy!
Which brings to mind...we all have problems. Just not the same. sigh!
Tom Jones came to the door a few minutes ago. Suspect he was asking Logan if he knew where they were.
I would like to think they are at his place working on those bankruptsy papers.
Somehow...this apprehension I am feeling tells me they are not and I should be worried.
While they both made themselves drinks all day yesterday and the day before at least they were around most of the time....not all...but most.
This was one gorgeous day. Have the ceiling fan on.
Hear Friday will be at least 80.
Lots more yard work to do. Picking up the solar lights and little yard ornaments is one of them. Pulling the pond pump out of the pond is another.
The pond stayed crystal clear this summer without any fish in it. :0)
Never had to rinse out the filter..... smelly job. In years past X's 4 at least. PU :0(
Going to pick up my knitting and try to get Jill off my mind.
That's All Folks!
The ramblings of a mom of 9 by her KIDS that are STILL making her climb walls ,even as adults. Said I DO 3xs and I WANT OUT 2 xs. Have learned there is no such thing as a Rose Garden. My motto is Life Is Too Short To Be Miserable. When the bad outweighs the good it is time to shit can em. Laugh with me or at me, welcome to my world.
I AM WOMAN! Hear me ROAR! February 2012
WARNING !! Not for those with a short attention span. ; 0 )
I love that sweater. What a gorgeous blue. You have been busy. So much to do when you have a house to take care of. Guess that's one of the lucky things about renting...but that doesn't stop me from wanting a home in the country.
ReplyDeleteMary
