D D Ain't love grand! ...X's 2 couples

Within minutes after I posted Jill walked through the door.
I asked her why she went out and left me to worry.
Her words..." I didn't go far."
Like ...................was I suppose to know that???  sigh!
Can't remember what I asked next, but do remember her words.
" We partied like Rock Stars."
Two drinks at the Moose and two drinks at Mings...on empty stomachs. When that happens it's never good.
Asked her if she had talked to him. Not yet....not ready to hear his B/S.
Told me all she had to do before she got out of the house to head to pick up oe of her helpers and then go get her son Gil to have him works as a 3rd person working with her.
He has never done catering but being my son in law Joe had over booked that date,  she called him and told him to grab his dress pants he wore to Ryan's wedding....she went to Burlington Coat Factory and bought him a white tuxedo shirt with bow tie and left at 12:30 from here to go pick up one female worker and then Gil and head to Salem,MA to some social club just over the Salem line from the Beverly/Salem bridge.
Today she told me he did amazingly well for just being thrown into it.
Joe was there doing the cooking and was impressed.  :0)
After she went to buy the shirt she came back and asked moi for a check and deposit slip so she could cash Butch's check for him. :0(  He can't even cash his paycheck...UNLESS he goes to the bank it is drawn on which is a distance away.
Then she ran to the other side of town to the fire station he works at and handed him his money.
Sometime during the morning... she told me he had had $200 on him two days before.
SO a B  ...he was broke Friday night......couldn't keep my mouth shut. She surmises he bought lottery tickets and played Keno with it.
Gambling ....hoping to win...which sometimes he does $100 here $200 there, BUT never BIG and spends more money gambling than he wins.
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr This guy needs a slap up against his head. I shit you not!
So moi being moi I had to ask her how much is now in this seperate account for their wedding with a straight face and sounding non confronting. .
ZERO!   Like go figure...she knew it and so did I.
This morning he came to her back door at 7:45 a.m.straight from work  Light tap, tap, tap.
Hear her mutter ....I can't efffin sleep in if I want to.
He's with the...good morning.  She is saying ...shhhhhhh I'm trying to sleep.
He: Oh come on...I'll make you some tea.
He tells me got his boat running perfect and they are going out on his boat.
First he had to go get his daughter in NH , then go to his place and change, then go back to the fire station to wash his boat and hook it up to his truck.
Meantime she showers and runs to the grocery store for foods stuff to eat while out on the boat, packs a large cooler.
Butch wanted to dock and go in an over priced restaurant for lunch.
That's him. He's a WINNER!  Not!
Before he arrives back she is telling me that she isn't bringing her good fishing pole because he will want to keep it on the boat as he always does and then she has to go retrieve it when they have a spat and she is tired of that.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm is she thinking that another spat is on the horizon.
I give up.
Logan was coming home to go out on the boat too.
He did and they have left and the house is pretty quiet.

Michael, Sally,James and Erinn came to visit for three hours yesterday afternoon.
We hardly ever see much of them with working and their outside activities.
Had a real nice visit...the kids kept themselves busy with Xbox and the ferrets.
It was time to go when Sally made mention of how Michael over does things...as in ...she claimed he used a whole bottle of sun block in one day thinking more is better and he told her in a not too good tone he was tired of her telling that story.
He used one bottle all summer, he yelled at her.
Then he stormed off ouside.
He's an electrician and fair skinned like his dad .
Is out digging ditches to lay wiring in the sun alot of his work days. Doesn't just get to work inside.
Anyway it wasn't long after that they headed home.
Have never seen the two of them argue or him raise his voice.... it was uncomfortable to say the least.
Yep....ain't love grand ??????.
They met when he was 32 and she was 27.  Both had sown their oats and got married when he was 35.
James was 14 on March 26th and Erinn turned 11 on May 16th ... her dad's birthday.
Both are thin and tall and oh my gosh.............Erinn is very tall for her age and  wears a size 11 womens shoe...
She isn't through growing yet!  Yikes!
Logan is in a 7 1/2 mens.

This day has flown by.
Went to the Outback. Then tried to nap.
No sooner doze off after taking the phone off the hook and Tracie came over wanting to use our phone.
Did get a nap in and then Mary my old neighbor came for a short visit.
The one that spends $20 a day just riding through town after town picking up dead animals and putting them on the side of the road. Today it was a skunk and 2 squirrels.
Also looks at what people have out for the trash collector and brings stuff home.
She's exactly what you see on tv... Hoarders.   Sad.  :0(
This time I showed he my marriage license and she exclaimed, " That's my signature ...how did you get that."
Then I showed her the one beside hers. "That's Arthur's."
Again I told her that they stood up for us when we got married.
" I don't remember that", she said.
I've been telling her that for over a few years now.  Even before Arthur passed away two years ago this December.
After she left I fed the indoor and outdoor animals, picked tomatoes and made lobster salad with the 3 of the leftover lobsters from the Lobster Bake Jill brought home Friday.
Now it's dark and I am still pecking away at the keyboard.

The pitiful looking cucumber plants are done for this year.

Tomatoes are still producing, but not for long.
Brought a few to my neighbor.
I get home made cookies in return. :0)

Well, well, well ... my nephew Drew just sent me over some Spinach Pie he made.
Going to go dig into that.  I shit you not!
Not that I need it. :0(
It's 7:30 p.m.
The weary boaters should be pulling in the driveway soon.
That's All Folks!

  2. Never a dull moment, huh? We're supposed to be empty nesters at this point of our lives....I had the pleasure for awhile, but then my son moved back home, and now I don't want to see him go. Can't do the things I used to do and it's good to have someone to do them for you.
