He/she did not show up at all yesterday. This has never happened and Jill and I were fearing the worst.
We jumped to the conclusion that the neighbor made good on his threat to shoot all cats that came in his yard.
Jill walked over to one neighbors yard that has been trying to catch a ground hog.
The Humane Trap was shut and empty. :0)
Opened our sheds...nadda.
Then called Animal Control. Left a message for that woman to call if she saw or had it.
Minutes after she made the call.....hubby yells out " I see Charlie." :0)
He/she was in the back yard and heading to the front yard.
A quick call was made by Jill to void out the call minutes earlier.
Lost has been Found. sigh!
I'm now wondering how either of us has become attached to this cat when neither of us has been able to pet it or even get close enough to touch it. I shit you not!
You get within arms reach of it...........hissssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss and his/hers fangs are showing.
None the less ....we are fond of Charlie.
Buy him TopShelf cat foods. :0) Think I decided to refer to this cat as a him before.
Beautiful long haired Siamese. Wish he/she was as beautiful on the inside as he/she is on the outside.
The silly baby skunks were out on the side yard looking for food at 6:10p.m. last night.
Broad daylight! I cut corn kernels off of left over ears of corn and mixed them with peanut butter and lathered PB on stale bread and brought it out to them. They just stepped out of sight and were back as soon as I went inside.
Had Jill's screen door shut and watched them through the screen. They didn't pay me no mind.
Later I made them a bigger pan of dry and wet dog food mixed together.
Both pans were empty this morning, just like every morning. :0)
I do see a black and white cat here most every day. Comes to eat.......probably another feral cat.
Runs when it sees you.
Yesterday was the most quiet, calm day we have had in ever so long. :0)
Logan didn't come home as planned.....just hubby and I all by our onsies until after 5p.m.
Took the phone off the hook and got myself a 2 hours nap in. yessssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!
Didn't look at the clock as to what time Jill came in from working. Showered and she and Butch took off for ? Came back around 8 with a bag of groceries and she made Shepards Pie.
I have lousy will power. Had already eaten cereal, but made myself a plate of it .
mmmmmmm mmmmmmm good! Not so much for loosing weight though. :0(
She was the bearer of bad news to Butch. He asked for a rum and coke.
She told him the bottle was empty. Offered him wine. They both had wine with their meal. sigh!
It's a new day........weather is feeling very comfortable right now.
Looks like a good time to run the vac if I get ambitious.
Well it's a thought anyway. ;0)
Speaking of squirrels, I must make a decision on my squirrel soon.
It's not biting yet, but everytime I let it out it uses moi for a tree. Round and round, head to toe, up and down she goes.
Her nails are so sharp now that blood is flowing down my legs and I'm not even aware of it until someone points it out to moi.
I lie in bed at night wondering where I can find some deep woods to release it, so it has plenty of time to find and store food for winter.
Can't release it where people are likely to be because it will jump on them and scare the shit outta them.
I shit you not!
School shopping is pretty much done for Logan. Levi jeans were on sale online at Sears. Already he is in an 18 regular. Size 18 in shirts too. Last size before men's size Small is a 20 boys.
The jeans arrived by UPS yesterday.
Passed my Cher money to school shop for Shaylas and Trevor.
Shayla is going in the 10th grade and Trevor in the 5th. He is my youngest grandchild at 10.
Once upon a time I shopped for school clothes for her two oldest sons that are now in their twenties. They didn't like Champion sweatshirts and the like so they would not wear them. Gave up.
Easier to let her do the shopping. Pretty sure that Shayla will do her own. :0)
Logan knew not from name brands like his brother Gil. He has always been happy just having new clothes. I like!
Grandson Larry,Jr is the oldest grand at 37. Oldest great is 13 going on 14 in December.
Unbelievable!!!!
So how old is everyone else feeling today.............................
I feel very fortunate to have known my grands and greats.
Just don't let them come visit all at once. :0)
Feeling lazy. Maybe a shower will wake me up. Not having a set schedule since I retired has not been a good thing. Have gotten laxidaisicle about my days unless there is an appointment to keep in them.
Today is not one of them.
How's that for a word...... laxidaisicle??? Think I have heard laxidaisy and I have heard another word that I can't find any other soul has heard.... mollycoddle.
My great grandmother on my mother's side use to use that word as in when I wasn't sitting still when she was putting curls in my hair......I'm not going to mollycoddle you all day.
She would take me to the park just feet away from her apartment building and across the street was a drugstore that had an ice cream parlor.
I would eat my ice cream cone while she sat on a bench chatting with her friends. :0)
Nana if you are reading this from Heaven...thank you for the bubble baths followed by many large powder puff pats of dusting powder, the walks down the slight hill to shop at the outdoor market and the paper dolls you always bought me in Woolworths, the trips up the street to the park and the ice cream cones, the memory of you sitting at the treadle sewing machine, shaking rugs out your window onto the porch, you putting on your corset..ugh, you always in a crisp house dress at home and gussied up when you left it. That was another of her words...gussied.
There were no flys on my nana Thomas... she was always bustling about.
Grandpa George, thank you for the clay pipes we blew bubbles on the porch with and your patience with us. Oh and thank you for introducing us to Inner Sanctom, Mr and Mrs North, Fibber McGee and Molly's Closet, My Gal Sunday and all those other wonderful radio programs that we sat and listened to at night with you.
I've gotten over the scare you gave me......The first time I heard someone snore it was coming from your bedroom and woke me up. I thought it was the boogey man coming for me and hid under the covers. :0)
Thank you for all my wonderful memories of you both. I miss those easier times in life.
That's All Folks!

I'm glad that baby squirrel got away...and also glad you had a chance for a rejuvenating nap. You certainly deserve it.
