Dear Diary, as I get older, I get wiser! Funny how that happens.

October 3rd was a beautiful day for a trip up to Meredith, NH to enjoy a hot turkey dinner put on by Harts Turkey Farm on a train ride along Lake Winnipesaukie.
Ed signed us up and paid for this trip months ago and departure day, they didn't have my name on the list. :0(   Thankfully there were 3 cancellations.
What a delicious dinner. If you ever have the opportunity to do this, you won't regret it. ISYN!

This lovely lady Carol (seated) and the chaperone for the trip Ann, sat with us for dinner.

Folks. it's really a small world. As Ann and Ed got to talking she mentioned what street she grew up on in Waltham.  That's where Ed was born and lived up until 32 years ago. She mentioned the street and he told her the  aunts name. It so happens there are only two houses on that street. Her mouth was agape when he told her the name. Asked if he was a psychic.  It also happens that where he lived for the first 18 years of his life was an apartment house and in one of those apartments was a boy his age that later married her aunt.
Ann lost her husband 8 years ago. Carol lost her husband 3 years ago.
The conversation got around to how Ed and I met.
I'm sure they are still talking about it. ;0)
Both said they would never dare, but then, Carol say she would like to meet someone ....just to do things with....intimacy........mmmmmmmmmm , maybe not.
Was married to one man and couldn't see herself with anyone else.
It is HERE that I would like to interject some of my wisdom.
The man/woman you made the most memories with, that you had the bad and good times with, holds a very special place in your heart. Always will!  It just is!
If you have more than one child, you found room in your heart for each one of them. It happens without you even realizing it.
Your heart is very big and has many special places.
Then you have parents and maybe other family members.
Those pets you had during your lifetime have another special place in your heart and so it goes.
Ed has his special place in my heart. While our days of feeding and clothing our babies are over and there are no problems, we are making our own memories. There just won't be as many years as we had with our spouses.
The sex isn't the same, our bodies aren't what we brought to our spouses, but it's all good.
Every day that you wake up on this side of the dirt is a gift!  To be able to share those days with someone who in every way makes you feel loved and appreciated, makes it easy to return that love.
Love knows no age. Love is for the living. It gives ME meaning.
Each love, from your first puppy love to where you are now in life shares your heart.
If I was to lose Ed to death,  I would hope I will  find someone to share my life and love with.
That's just me!  Life is too short, the days are getting shorter and nothing stays the same.
Change, it's A GIVEN!  I shit you not!

We will be leaving for FL the 22nd or 23rd. if I get my act together. Lots to do before then.Still working on clearing food stuff, etc. out of the motorhome. Haven't started to pack. :0(
If I don't reply to your posts for awhile,  I hope you will understand.
So, I'll love and leave you as my mother use to say. Damn...I miss having her in my life.
Change ...that damned CHANGE!
(((hugs)))

That's All Folks!
