I heard from my ex co-worker that lives in that town that he knew nothing about the issues and all he kept saying was, let's get rid of the old faces and bring in new. Her family members were told what he was all about ....deadbeat dad, ex felon ,asshole and others she talked to had him pegged as a slime ball. He had Logan and his friends outside the poll place holding signs as told to moi via Jill his mom and also had his jeep all decorated. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww shucks. ;0)
Couldn't have happened to a better guy. I shit you not!
Forty lashes for moi. It came to me a few hours after I posted that Duvall Patrick is not a Senator, he is our Governor. Shit....will this faux pas make me lose my drivers license. ;0)
I was so caught up on Life this morning, that I forgot to say how excited I am when I drive around and see everything in bloom. :0) Some yards have hundreds and hundreds of jonquils and daffodils..large .clusters of them everywhere. Medicine for the heart. I shit you not!
Flowers and bushes and trees blooming here, there and everywhere. :0)
In New England almost anywhere you drive outside the city you will see old rock walls that marked property lines years ago that still remain and they add so much charm. Not all are the same in design or height. Today I made note of how far Thoreau's Walden Pond is from my house. Thirteen miles.
What a beautiful drive I take from my house to Natick and vice versa. One lane going and one lane coming, most all the way. Speeds are posted from 25mph to 40 mph. In Carlisle you best behave. Many a time I have seen a car pulled over by a cop.
Last week coming back to Natick from Rutland , while still in higher elevation I must have seen more than twenty hen turkeys spread about an open area, with one lone Tom watching over them. What an awesome sight! I shit you not! Other times I have seen just one or a few and even those were a sight to behold. Have seen one lone pheasant crossing the road. Yep. walking when it can fly. We pass horse farms ( magnificent animals) and even a Llama farm and I never get tired of looking at them. There is so much to see and enjoy in this world of ours. :0)
While at WalMart, I purchased some bird feeders and seed to put up where we are camped. One will hang just outside the window where we sit to eat. :0)
Let me tell you, I shopped my little heart out today and other than the perishables, nothing else has been put away. I'm Beat! I shit you not! My ass is dragging!
I had a tuna sandwich for lunch yesterday. Jill had made herself one and there was leftover. :0) By suppertime, I was whopped. Come 9 p.m. I ate a pint of blackberries that I had purchased earlier in the day. Nothing to drink. One Positive thing about that...when I woke at 6 a.m. there was not the usual urgency to pee. ;0)
This morning I made two cups of coffee (thanks Pea) and after all my shopping as I was nearing home at 3 p.m. I spied the traveling lunch wagon that sold Italian sausage subs with onions and peppers and I whipped my car into the lot where it was parked. Told the proprietor that he had caught me at a weak moment. No sooner in the door of my house, I woffed it down with a can of Tab. YUM! Had two tangerines for my supper at 7.
Poor Ed had a can of tomatoes for lunch and a bagel with onion and chive spread for his supper. Oh...and 2 tangerines. I thought he would have eaten by the time I got here at five p.m., but found out that it took until after 3 for the Dish to be installed and he got to his house not long before I did. He was planning on Chinese take out. :0( I was FULL still. :0(
Us.. St Patricks Day at Boomers eating a good ole Irish meal of pea soup followed by Fried Shrimp. ;0)It's great to be back. Absence does make the heart grow fonder!
(((hugs)))
