Rehab Friday didn't happen :0(

Jill called after midnight as was told... and called and called. Live person answered after 6 a.m. and she was told there wass NO BEDS AVAILABLE!  AGAIN...she was told that the most likely time for an available bed for Gil would be on Monday morning. I can't even begin to tell you how low her morale is. She posted a plea for help, support and comfort on her Facebook page.  She is losing her own will to live. sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Please pray that Gil gets a bed somewhere in a rehab. Thank you.
One of her friends sons overdosed Thanksgiving. Nineteen years old. So sad. Gil...will be 22 on December 7th................hopefully.  She tells me today that he only considers himself a recreational user. Yeah, RIGHT!

As for myself.....it's not important enough to write about.  Some days I think things will work out between Ed and myself....and others???  I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. I shit you not!
We did that karoke thing I mentioned with my son and DIL. HE enjoyed it and commented how much in a rut he has been. Seeing a 91 year old woman get up and sing after 10 p.m. may have woke him up. :0) All were ages 60's through their 90's. They danced, sang and were out past 8 p.m. ;0)
Ed danced with me a few slow songs up where our booth was. Wasn't brave enough to go on the dance floor, which was fine with me. HE CAN SLOW DANCE! :0)
NOW I need to find someplace back in his area that we can get out to and do the karoke thing. Not sing, but dance and sing along to the songs. THAT IS if he doesn't get back into his rut again.  Right now ...with the situation with Gil...it doesn't seem  all that important.
There's other STUFF going on in my life, but again...my thoughts have been mostly on the situation with Jill and Gil and I just don't have it in me to relate.
For now.....(((Hugs)))

That's All Folks!

  1. Nothing is ever peaceful for you. That's not fair. It's hard to "let go" of the kids no matter how old they are. Isn't there some place where Jill can go to talk with other parents in her same situation? Like where they teach tough love?
And Ed? All I can say is...don't give up yourself. Oh. And we take our black lab everywhere, all trips, etc. Never had a problem. And...thanks again!

  3. Please don't give up. Prayers do work and I will certainly add all of you to mine. I just hated reading this about your Gil and your daughter.
Surely rehab will open up soon and this young man can get the help he so desperately needs.
Wish I could be of more help to you.
Maybe your friend Ed will see that he needs to do more or he will loose you. Sometimes it takes that to wake up a man. If not then I know there is someone else out there for you.
Take care honey and hang in there
    Love
