D D Now...I ask you

What's the sense of doing anything??????????????????
Can't plant or work in the yard. The fence HAS TO come down. A new retaining wall has to be put a foot and a half beyond the existing one that is falling apart. The sides and back of my back yard slope down ( was not like that many moons ago ) and I will have to buy dirt/loam/ whatever once the new fencing is up and the old fencing is removed to level off THAT area. WHICH MEANS, many existing established plants and bushes that can't be dug up will be "KILT." Same with hundreds of bulbs. Mostly various daffodils, jonquils and some hyacynths. Can't plant a garden. The vegetable plants will be in the way of the work that needs to be done. I have a mosquito breeding man made pond. The pump hasn't been placed in it yet and I have no desire to do it myself. Digging through that back shed to find the heavy duty extension cord and all that shit is too mind bogling for me. I shit you not! Everything seems insurmountable! The garden did lousy last year and would probably do the same thing this year. sighhhhhh I do love my fresh tomatoes and cucumbers.
As I have said before....son Randy can not stick to doing JUST ONE THING! The retaining wall should in my estimation be the first thing he does. What's he doing today and YESTERDAY. Staining the fence sections cedar. He tells me he will need more ??? beams??? for the retaining wall. At first he said (three)high. NOW he says four high. Twenty bucks a piece...ain't hay! So far....forty have been purchased and more need to be bought. Then there are the fence posts and fence sections. Rebarb is another pricey purchase. Cement. sighhhhhhhhhhhh
He bought me the external hard drive he told me I needed so that I will never, never lose my shit again. IT STILL SITS ....oh it's out of the box and on a shelf , but that's the extent of it.  The hidden camera alarm clock in my bedroom ....same thing.  The outside cameras ( mounted in my parlor window ARE ON, but he has to read up on how to record. So meanwhile I guess I am supposed to sit here 24/7 and watch the camera screen. :0(  The futility of it all makes ME CRAZY and he can't understand why I get upset.  I need to be on whatever good shit he is! I shit you not!

Worked in my closet yesterday. Another futile job. One day I'll take a picture and show you what I am up against. sighhhhhhhhhh
I have no storage space and for the life of me I DO NOT KNOW HOW NINE KIDS AND THEIR SHIT FIT IN THIS SMALL HOUSE!!!
No longer can I climb those drop down attic stairs to the "crawl space ) attic that takes the skin off your back when you go under a beam.  OH, I can....just not safely! I shit you not! Why break my neck if I don't have to. Will I ever again see the nice things I have stored up there> My N.E.Christmas Village, my blown glass Christmas tree ornaments, all the baby items I knitted or crocheted, the afghans.......................   my yarn .........all the beaded crocheted Barbie doll gowns, etc. Even my porcelain dolls went up there once Logan moved in at age one. Twelve years they have been PUT AWAY!  I'm 75 years old now. What's the chances of me having MY STUFF to put out again???
FUCK IT...I'm depressing myself !
Add THIS NOW to bundle.... Jill went off to eat with Butchie around one and it's now 5 p.m.
He came three times this morning. Guess the third pleading job worked! Think I saw the engagement ring  back on her finger.  Ain't love grand!!!  Yesterday she was saying she couldn't stand him to her son Gil.

Did I tell you that I ordered a USAF dress shirt and tie and bid on a dress uniform???
Hubby's has moth holes in it. I think he'd like to be " laid out " in dress uniform.
I'm always and ever the "caring one."

If you don't see a post from me every day...not to worry.
This post today you probably could do without too!  It's drags me downnnnnnnnnnn, so it has to YOU!

(((hugs)))

That's All Folks!

  1. It would probably cost more money but I would hire professionals to do all the work around your house. I think it would all get done quicker. Who wouldn't be depressed with all the work that's constantly happening at your home. It would drive me CRAZY lol.

  2. I can feel you with the storage space. I gave so many things away when we moved from our old home, and still it is a struggle. I even gave my porcelain dolls away. Regretting it now. Of course, in my case, it's hubby's stuff he won't get rid of. I was realistic about the whole thing. What hasn't been worn in five years will probably never be worn again. Wish he felt the same.

Deep breaths,my friend, and enjoy the holiday.

  4. And contact your local high school for a reliable kid who you can hire by the hour to crawl around in the attic, that is assuming that your residents won't do it for you.

  6. Wow! You have a CLOSET? You have STAIRS to your attic? You are lucky indeed. Hunter took my closet apart, planning to build it again the same way. WTF?! So now I have no walls and no bars to hang stuff on. And our attics? One needs a step ladder to get into and the other....Hm. It is in the MIDDLE of the wall going upstairs to our bedroom. You have to climb almost all the way up the stairs and turn around. Attic door in middle of wall at your left. Grab the stair rail on the right, pull yourself up 'till you are standing on a teeny tiny "ledge" across from the opening. While hanging on, slip one foot across ro the open door to the attic. You are now straddling the stairs far down below. If you succeed, grab the door jamb and pull the remaining leg over. Now to get down.....

  7. I so know how frustrating it can be when things need to be done, we're too old to do 'em and everyone else is BUSY.
I hope all the work gets done and you can rest easy for awhile. :)
Now, let's don't even TALK about cleaning closets...I have THREE that just keep staring me in the face and I try to ignore them. Gotta get on it soon, tho. Think I'll have a HUGE garage sale and sell it all.
    Happy Memorial Day...be safe.

  8. I agree with Vicky hire a 'real' handy man or a company, and sweetie while your at it hire a college student or local teen to help you get things down from the attic, sort them and then keep what you love and have a garage sale and get rid of what you don't! You could us the money to pay for the repairs! I am always calmer and feel more in control when I'm organized!
