D D My passion was "seeing red!"

Yesterday you saw a good red. :0) Collecting those Royal Ruby items became a passion of mine after an elderly man( hubby knew him for moons) up the street was moving out West and gave hubby a few of the dishes he had in payment for his helping him pack along... with a few other things I still treasure and keep on my bureau.
From there.....every time I hit FL soil, I HAD TO STOP at Flea Markets and Antique Barns until I had a complete set of service for eight. What a HIGH I experienced when I found something to add to my collection.:0)
Some I found on EBAY. The pitcher and glasses  on top of one of my hutchses WERE the ex MIL from Hells. They fit nicely in my suitcase when I went to West,TX to help my daughter Jill clean the house out For Sale. ;0) Know I must have seen them when I lived there, but didn't remember them. Maybe because red glass wasn't my passion back then. Funny how those things happen. When I look at them...I only feel pleasure! Thank you very much.... you nasty old bitch!
  There came a time when I had everything there is to have in Anchor Hocking Royal Red Ruby :0) and the hunt was over.:0(
Last night I found a gorgeous red tea pot at TJMaxx. Didn't need it, BUT I bought it! :0) I'm going to surround myself with things I like! 
  Bought luggage....my first choice I put back on the shelf becasuse the wheels didn't rotate. Hard plastic bullet type with wheels that rotate is what I bought. . It's NOT PRACTICAL! Remembered that I was NOT the only one going on this cruise and four others needed to store their luggage in the car trunk, so today I'll return it for my first choice. ;0) All soft.

TODAY...I MUST vac and wash my diningroom floor! I must, I must! Tuesday's delivery is right around the bend! Hubby hinted yesterday that if he feels good, he'd like to go to the OutBack. 173.1 this morning on the Weight Watcher scale I purchased last year..  :0)  After the demonstration  at my meeting on Friday, I purchased the food scale. Now...to use it. ;0) Their NEW POINT COUNTER is much better. Bigger tabs. THAT, I USE! Took my salad dressing with me and had a small house salad mius the coutons and cheese with a Perfect Portion piece of broiled haddock, rice florentine and carrots. Skipped the bread and butter on the table. :0)WTG Pat!!!!
      Did everyone remember to turn their clocks ahead???? Jill did.    I didn't remember it.


I will take my leave now and BB before the day is over. Til then....

Diningroom floor didn't materialize. Too much traffic! Nor did the OutBack.

Hubby had some near falls. The last time... he went to sink to the floor as he was walking with his walker from the shower back to our bedroom and I grabbed him and leaned against a wall to hold him til W.B. and Gil ran to my screaming for HELP voice. THEN..I took hubbys walker away from him for the rest of the day. He woke at 8:15 ( 9:15 the new time ) and complained he hurt all over and it was MY FAULT cause I was late giving him his meds. WTF! FIFTEEN MINUTES is late? Even if it was 9:15 a.m ...he's woken many times at that hour and never complained his meds were late. He told Jill that I am holding back his meds on him. CRAZY OLD FART is what he is! I shit you not!

Just like he told me he never asked Jill to catherize him the other day. I looked at him and faked giving a shit. In an incredolous tone, I told him he HAD TO HAVE said something that made her think he wanted/needed to be catherized. All I said was, I was burning , he says. Yeah,yeah...that's why she had to ask Gil to finish giving the baby his bottle and go catherize him, she said. YEAH...it's such a fun thing for us to do. NOT! I was out at the time.

He asked her more than once, I was told. You know who.... I BELIEVE ! Hands DOWN!

New dishes. They are a dull black on the back side.

anddddddddddd what did hubby do...but turn the volume up HIGH on his tv to announce his displeasure. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

She brought her supper with her from a Pizza Hut in a Target store. Nine p.m. came and I started making it known that I was tired. 9:25 she left. sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

This is the smallest of the set of three that I returned. I'd know it anywhere...if I had kept it. ;0)

 

This is what I replaced it with. My first choice.

I think my DIL Deb will like me better for considering that they need space for their luggage. ;0)

Okay, I'm off to get my pj's on and hit the hay. Til tomoorow. (((hugs)))
