Asked of course... errands was what my answer from her was.
She left the grocery receipt on the table... Dollars away from $140.
If that wasn't bad enough, she left the receipt for that fish tank table there too.
One hundred twenty five dollars and it isn't even real wood. It's from Walmart. OMG!
Hubby would go through the roof if he knew and knowing has put my B/P up to the ceiling.
SHIT.... this given to me fish tank is suddenly a very expensive investment and we didn't even need that big of a piece of furniture added to the cramped tiny livingroom. I wish I could turn the clock back three days ago . sigh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What makes it worst is knowing that the damned table isn't put together right and just seeing it upsets me.
It's still Saturday.... UP and AT it again.
It's Sunday............................ALL DAY! I shit you not!
Decided to take the bull by the horns and get myself showered and ready to step out the door and do my own returns while it was still a beautiful sunlit day.
Tracie showed up just as I was ready to put my socks and shoes on and offered to drive me around.
First on my agenda was Fashion Bug to return that overcharged top.
The minute the cashier pulled it out of the bag she said " we didn't sell this top here" and I sing songed " oh yes you did."
She pulls out the sales slip and I pointed out to her the numbers and price.
She asked if I still wanted it and when she rang it up it was now only $7 some odd cents, she tells me.
$14 and some odd cents back in my pocket!!! :0)
This cotton top was $21.99 at regular price and trust me I would never have spent that kind of money on it.
Its an every day long sleeved cotton hooded top with a so so print.
Looked for gray dress pants and the salesperson told me they had none. Poking around I found them on a wall. Long story short, I tried them on and those flared bottoms were not attractive on me. sigh!
Spotted the Sketchers I had purchased last year and like them so much, I bought a second pair to leave in FL as DIL Deb has suggested that I leave some things there fro my next visit. I was riding high now. ;0)
Another woman shopper was holding a nicely designed necklace up to her neck and I could not help but tell her it looked very good against her solid black top. She smiled and commented. I smiled and made comments..
It felt good to express what I was thinking to myself . :0) Think we both felt better for it. :0)
On to Burlington Coat Factory to return two sets of pj's and get my white jeans if they were still there.
One section of the store is all walled off and when I asked they said they were remodeling.
Seems like a weird way to do it to moi.
Walked and walked trying to find those white jeans and when I asked a salesperson she told me if they had been on sale they were all shipped out. She would ask though and be back to me.
:0( They were shpped out to another store she was told.
Pointing to a section way in the back I asked her what that section was now. Plus size she tells me.
BOING! Size 1 to 16 in the section I was in and size 18 on up in the Plus sized section.
She found that one and only pair of size 18 white jeans there for me... yesssssssssssssssssssssssssss
Get back to the registers and the petite woman in front of me was buying some rich looking tops and skirts in black, gray and black with gray. Could not help myself and let her know she had a wonderful taste in clothes.
She told me she gravitates to black and gray and most of her wardrobe is black and gray, so she came in looking for brighter colors and could not resist the ones she was purchasing. ANOTHER HAPPY SHOPPER ! :0)
Tracie had stepped into the Dollar Store so I entered and found her still shopping.
Did some of my own....dryer sheets and white diabetic socks that I like to wear all day and to bed.
Warm feet makes for ....a warm me.
shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ...Trail Mix for the squirrels and of course the Blue Jays if they find it first.
Once back in her car......this is where I made my mistake.
Suggested if it was alright with her where she wanted to go to the Outback to eat after my next two returns that it would be best if I went home and cooked something for hubby to eat.
We drive up the road and my son Randy's car was parked in front.
He came out to help me carry my bundles in and all the while relating how pissed he was that the swordtails he paid $15 for were dead. I'm trying to get a word in edgewise letting him know how pissed I was too.
He told me that he told Jill and the W.B. to leave them floating in the bag on top of the small tank I bought for Logan and have running with NO FISH for ten minutes, then open the bag and put them in that water along with some water from the bag for a few days until the water chemicals are correct on the big tank.
We no sooner enter the door and hubby is calling out to me and Logan is asking me questions too. I would try to answer one while Randy was still talking and he would say, " you're not listening to me."
On and on I heard the ...you're not listening to me.
Logan wants to know where the Domino's flyer is ....hubby wants ?.
Somewhere in here I ask him if he wants me to make him a burger. Hear "yes".
For some reason I decided that I would slice up a few onions and make his plain burger tastier ( nice person that I am :0) ) . Then I spotted the bread Jill had just bought. Canadian white bread. sigh!
She must think that I bought the other two loaves we have had in the house in recent times. That was the bread Tracie brought over to make her ham and turkey sandwiches.
Had given hubby a sandwich with it and he claimed he didn't like it. I liked it.
What to do....what to do. I grabbed the catsup ( huuby only puts catsup on his plain burger ) and spread it from crust to crust (THICK) and Tracie is asking me why I am piling on the catsup.
Told her later that there was a mood to my madness. ;0)
Hubby sits down to eat and asks where the catsup is before he bites into it. Told him it was on there.
Then he is asking where the onions are. HUH??????????
Tells me he had asked me to cook him some onions with it. I swear I didn't hear him...yet why did I slice a few in the pan when I'm not in the habit of doing that????????????????
The few I sliced up....were cremated. :0(
Which pissed hubby off as he said I couldn't do anything for him.
More mass confusion getting the dogs out to pee. Lady wasn't coming when I called her. Most likely because I had noticed the ferrets needed water and food and I had just dropped her a few pieces of ferret food that she loves.
Tracie picked her up and carried her to the bedroom door to help me out. Hubby is assumed that she was holding her and that is why she didn't come when she was called and he vocalized something to Tracie that offended her. ( Tracie is not a dog lover and would never just pick up Lady or Ginger. )
Logan is still on his Domino's flyer hunt and explaining to those that asked why he needed it............it was an efffin MADHOUSE. CHAOS 101 ! I shit you not!
Jill had given him money to buy what he wanted to eat yesterday. Left the money in an envelope for him to get what he wanted when he woke up and got hungry. He was still sleeping when she left. Sleeping when I first went out too.
Somewhere in all that madness I told hubby he jsut wanted to argue and I DIDN"T !
Finally Tracie and I were back on the road. Khols Return Desk is not conveniently at the front of the store. Trudge to make my return and purchase nothing. :0)
Tracie was waiting in the car for me.
I walked three stores over to the new Pet Smart and returned the dog coats and booties son Randy had bought/? for my dogs and got ferret food with my refund. Two 7 pound bags at $24.99 each, plus tax.
Found out that this PetSmart will be having a vet beginning February and my Lady's teeth cleaning will be much cheaper to have done there. :0)
Wonder if this vet is as good as an outside vet. Dang...right away I am trying to bust my bubble. sigh!
NO FISH! Oh yes........ they had a large selection of tropical fish, but I wasn't about to throw money away, plus we were going to eat now. It wouldn't have been beyond me to carry that plastic bag containing fish into Outback while we ate so they didn't freeze, :0) BUT no fish YET!
Back I trudge to where she was parked. No Tracie in the car. Stood there in the COLD AIR waiting.
If I had been stupid enough to buy a few fish...they would have been frozen...surely would be dead.
She emerged from the Carter baby and children store empty handed maybe ten minutes later, spotted me waiting outside her car and hurried over.
On to the Outback. :0) Waiting we were told was 15 minutes to an hour and we were given a beeper.
The place was CROWDED and so was the waitng areas.
Didn't bother to look at my watch when we were seated. Just was very thankful when we were. :0)
We both had the roast pork... just different sides. My first time and it's her favorite if it isn't sold out.
Must say...it was DELISHOUS!
Sometime during our meal I told her that I knew she wouldn't be happy about what I was about to say.
Told her that I planned on staying longer than a month in Florida.
While she told me she was happy for me to be getting away from this weather ( and I know she meant that) , I also know she was hurt. :0(
Now I need to let my Cheryl know.
Speaking of which....she called here this morning at 8:30 shortly after we were out of bed.
Right away hubby began his bitching about the phone ringing already. sigh! WE WERE AWAKE!
With nine kids and their spouses, nineteen grands ...the phone is bound to ring in my house.
This call was about small chit chat. No UGLY ....ty,ty,ty,ty.
I heard a small voice just now. Turned my head to look towards the diningroom. Alex, W.B.'s daughter.
Now my mind starts to work. Did she spend the night here? Did THEY spend the night here?
Hubby told me earlier he heard Jill come in around 12:30 a.m.
Do I really want to know.. I DON'T THINK SO.
We are having some of our coldest weather. I hear it will be below zero tonight.
It's 17 degrees now and almost 11 a.m.
The Outback today or will I be cooking Stuffed Peppers FINALLY ???
To be Continued...I shit you not!
That's All Folks!
