HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHELLEYou won't see this....at least not while I'm alive ....I HOPE!
You have been just like my own daughter to me.
You are the most thoughtful and giving of yourself person that I know of.
You stretch yourself thin and always have. Mothering and care giving to everyone in need. :0)
That said.....it's the day after Halloween.
Last night he said he was a Redneck.
I think he looks more like a hippie with that hair. Some of my sons wore their hair long,
Ohhhhhhhhhhh so long ago. Now I'm thinking....look at the money for haircuts they saved moi. :0)
His loot filled 3 large bowls with candy.
We had roughly 100 Trick or Treaters at our door.
Still had another 50 pieces of candy to give out.
Once upon a time there was 200 goblins at my door.
Butch and Jill gave out the candy and that made it great for us.
They also never went out drinking . Had a bottle of rum here and once we were home from the Outback , I saw them drinking from a throw away red cup up until they went to bed. Sigh!
Hubby watched the Patriots Football game took a nap and I took to my computer.:0)
The Patriots WON........TOOT TOOT
Michelle stopped in for better than an hour during Trick or Treat hours.
Been so busy she hasn't even taken her mail out of her mailbox for days.
Told her to fetch her card and wished her a Happy Birthday.
She and her hubby Joe will be driving to CA this coming Sunday to leave her car with their daughter Jessica so she can have transportaion for six months or so. She finally got a job in her field and will begin by working part time at at Rest Home as an R.N. .
Back when she was 8 or 9 she was run over by a school bus and was seriously injured.
The driver let her off the bus. She had to cross the street in front of the bus to get to her house and he didn't see her and ran over her.
He lost his job, but soon was driving a handicapped van picking up Special Needs kids. :0(
He drove away never knowing he had run her over until on his return route he was stopped.
I can still remember that phone call and racing to the hospital.
The first responders had called for a Med Flight to take her into a Boston Hospital, but it was too windy.
Her pelvic bone was broke, a break in her hip and jaw and alot of her teeth were gone.
The surgeons had to put a piece of ? to rebuild her jaw and as her face grew she needed it replaced.
Has had numerous surgeries and a few years back they put dental implants in her mouth so she has teeth where hers was missing. .
Body cast, , surgery on her pelvis to stop the blood loss, weeks and weeks of hospitalization and then a hospital bed and nurses and P.T. coming to the house for months.
It's 10 a.m.
It was quiet at the other end of the house earlier.
Jill was on her side on a heating pad sleeping and Butch was propped up on pillows studying his book/books for the Captain's Test.
Now I hear her in the kitchen.
VOTING DAY tomorrow. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!
I will definately shower, dress and get out to VOTE!!!
That's a given. I SHIT YOU NOT!
That's All Folks!
My goodness....all those trick or treaters. I had none, but when you live in a primarily Jewish neighborhood that's the way it is. Spent a quiet evening honoring the ancestors. No interruptions, but I do so love the kids in costume. I've missed it.

Happy Birthday Michelle! [But Psssssssst, let me show you what old pic, Mom showed of you, on your Birthday. Tee, hee, hee...]
ReplyDeleteHuge amount of candy munchers, in your neck of the woods! Less little kids and a goodly amount of dressed-up college girls, here. We're near a campus. It really is cute to see them. How they deck themselves out and are having fun. And very polite! Thank you's. Their Mamas would be proud! :-)
YESSSSSSSSS! VOTE!!!!!!!!!!!
Gee I'm glad you haven't voted yet, as I was feeling like the *only* blogger, who hadn't done it ahead of time. Because so many have blogged that they have voted. Thank you for waiting, for me!!!!!!!!!! -grin-
Come to think of it, I suspect that my Conservative blog pals, have TOLD me they VOTED, for *fear* I'll swoop down and haunt them, if they forget! I do get a wee bit carried away with my political leanings, on my Sidebar. -sigh- What can I say? It makes me feel as if I'm doing SOMETHING. :-)
What;s the matter with me????????? I forgot to say how beautiful your daughter and granddaughter are!!!!!! Well, better late than never. :-)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got lots of trick or treaters, so the tradition isn't dying after all!
