D D This is what UGLY looks like

Now you see it

Now you don't
Should have had that counter protector there before the fire.  I shit you not!
The hot molten glass began to cool almost as soon as I smothered the flames on my kitchen counter and when I tried to get it up I took the laminate off of the particle board. :0(
Suppose I could scrape it some more and expose more particle board. sigh!
Moral of this story:  Never leave a tea light or candle on anything that can burn.
Who knew that a votive holder could get so hot that it burst into molten glass.
All that was left was the bottom of it with the $1.99 sticker like brand spankin new and the metal tin that held the tea light.  I didn't!  I shit you not!

The birthday boy....Ryu

Look at those cheeks puffed up to blow out the candles.

Playtime for the ferrets Monday

Bitsy...She weighs a little over 1 lb.

Diesel weighs a little over 2 lbs.

so does Cena

All 3 seeing what they can run off with or knock on the floor

Bitsy is a wench. She tries and tries to move the gate enough to get out. Not the other two.
Until I tightened the bungee cord  more......she could. She keeps testing it.  Brat!
All of them love  bags and boxes. Diesel is trying one out. That is their peanut filled toy box. They love to tunnel under the peanut fill and also pull their toys out and hide them under the furniture and behind the tv.

Jill and Butch were around most of the day. He had his daughter and took her school shopping. She starts the 1st grade Wednesday. Listened to Jill telling me about some of the high jinx Alex and her mother have pulled.  Baby mama called baby daddy a few days ago. You need to come to Canobie Lake Park and take her to a doctor. She has a bad infection on her foot.
psssssssssssssssst! it was a teeny wart. Now he wants to know from the baby mama what kind of virus' does this new boyfriend's house have.
A freakin wart caused her to repeatedly call him about this grave concern when she had her walking around an amuzement park all day long.
Alex whined all day yesterday that Olivia ( her maybe step sister ) turned 8 the other day and got a Blackberry phone and Ipod.  She wants one.
If I know Butch...she will have one before she turns 7 in November.
They went out to eat last night. Only the place Alex wanted to go to was good enough. Friendlys..I hate Friendly's. Kentucky Fried...I hate Kentucky Fried.  Mings for Chinese...I hate Chinese food.
Only the Glenview would do. So Jill went along with that even though she doesn't care for the food there.
Knew she liked the onion soup there and that's what she ordered. That was her meal.
Alex wanted a haddock dinner. There is no children's plate for haddock.
Butch repeatedly said she would eat it all to Jill or almost all. Watch and see. They go through this all the time and she takes a few bites after eating the bread and drinking a few root beers.
Filled up on soda and bread..just like Logan does.
Did it again.
He was going to order himself a Fisherman's Platter and give her the haddock off his plate... ohhh noooo. She always wants her own order of haddock.
One day she hates Olivia and the next she likes her a little.
It must be fun in that household.
Don't know if Jill is still riding in the back seat when the three of them are in his pickup truck.
This caused complete melt downs in the past. Butch was at the bargaining table ....I'll buy you this...I'll get you that....if you ride in the back seat. Don't cry baby.
Last night is was ...my eyes are itchy. Over and over.  He played into it. "Your eyes do look a little puffy."
Alex is a beautiful little girl. Her parents are efffin her up!

Logan started school today. He ran into his mother's room around 9 p.m. telling her how scared he was.
Had a little bit of the sniffles. :0(  Gone will be the familiar school and 1 classroom.
Worried how he will find all the rooms he will need to be in.
Lockers, homeroom and other classrooms for Math, English, etc.
Pin numbers to remember to get your lunch. No more cash or free lunch tokens to use to buy a school lunch.
Only a few known faces in your homeroom and lots of unknowns all around.
First time to ride a school bus too. Begged us not to take a picture of him getting on the bus.
Hope our reassuring words and hugs helped him fall to sleep last night. sigh!
He should feel confidant today that he won't be offending. Has his Axe body spray and deoderant on. :0)

The weatherman said it will be more humid today than yesterday and go as high as 97 degrees.
Pheweeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Thursday is Tracie's birthday. 9-2-61. Her brother Marty's is the same day, but he is 8 years older than her.
Saw her outside yesterday evening when I was getting in my car to run for some lactaid ice cream for hubby.
Asked her if she wanted to go out to dinner for her birthday.
She never gave me a yes or no.....my guess is it's a yes.
My Jill and Sonny also share the same birthday. 9-10-60 and 9-10-61.
Stepped away to look at my September birthday cards................shit........granddaughter Corinne's is the same day as Tracie's.
My...my...my...my...my. Corinne will be 20.  Unbelievable !
Must get a card in the mail to Florida today.
I buy cards all year long and have cards way ahead of time and still I forget some dates.
Plus a dear internet friend gave me an assorted box of greeting cards :0)  as a gift, so I have no excuse.
CRS only works so often. I shit you not!

Nephew Drew called Jill yesterday asking if we are having a cookout over Labor Day weekend.
She told him she is working...which she is.
He and his partner, husband... are another of my worries. Their house was forclosed on a year ago February.
This February will be 2 years. They have no money, Patrick's part time job ends this week...census taker.
They have a 10 year old black lab Samantha...............what will happen when that repo moving truck shows up one day to put them out on the street.
Hubby has never liked Drew...even as a child.  He isn't easy to like.....oin the other hand Patrick and Samantha are. sigh!
Both of them have AIDS.

Logan's friend Ryan won't be starting school today.
His grandmother passed away from Cancer Saturday. 67 years old.
Viewing this morning and the burial is at noon.
Hubby grew up with her husband. and his siblings.
Ryan has lived either with his grandparents or just around the corner from them all his 11 years. Sad.

I've held out long enough on closing the house up and turning the A/C on.
DIL in FL says it will be another month before she can open her house up. She also hates this closed in feeling. When you have hot weather..you can't win for loosing. :0)
When they left here and we all hugged....I asked her how they dance cheek to cheek.
They don't she said.
Sonny is 6' 5 ".  I don't come up to anywhere near his face either. I shit you not!
That's All Folks!

  2. I had a friend who had a ferret and that little critter used to love stealing anything shiny and hiding it in its favorite hiding spot...in one of the drawers. Poor little Logan. I remember the first day I took my eldest to class. He started crying hysterically, having a royal tantrum right in the classroom. So, the teacher told me to go, he'd be all right. Well, heart in stomach, I did and when I went around the building and peeked in the window, he was sitting there fine as good be, talking to all the other kids.
