D D I didn't know whether to Shit or go blind

Around 9 p.m. I let Lady out to pee and went to the back shed to shut the pool pump off.

What do I spy as I am headed back, but a small skunk to my left a few feet away from moi and Lady was a few feet further back on the walkway.

My gait came to an abrupt HALT and my heart skipped some beats. I shit you not!

I didn't want to wait until Lady spotted that skunk and gave chase....so I looked at her and told her firmly to stop.  This she does on command and rolls over on her back in submission as she was an abused dog before I got her. In this case, I was glad she was a good listener. :0)

Now I had to think quick!    Walk past that skunk that was eyeballing me or have Lady bark and scare it into spraying. Hesitated only a sec and walked past the skunk.....scooped Lady up and went inside and shut the glass door.
Must be the same one that came into our bedroom the night before.
The only food out there is bird seed.  Always one child ( skunk in this case) that has to see if the grass is greener on the other side of the fence  house  :0)
When the coast was clear I opened the glass door and kept the screen shut.
 Lady was in her bed for the night . All was nigh.............kosher........good.  Yes, it was. :0)

Rained off and on all day yesterday. It poured during the night I was told.
Looks like more of the same for today with some winds and I hear it will rain tomorrow too.
Hubby just asked me to close the glass slider because he froze all night .
Spoke those words without the F word in the sentence.    :0)

Butch and Alex came after 10 a.m.  Jill has told him not to come before then when he has Alex in case we are sleeping in, but I strongly suspect she doesn't want to deal with them before then.
Likes her R and R, reading the paper nad drinking her tea.
Sometime early afternoon they took off for ? parts unlnown.
Young Gil brought Logan and his friends home around 1 as we were getting ready to go to the Outback.
Had Logan ask his friends to go home to eat their lunch and took him with us.  he wanted a cup of clam chowder, Kukuburro wings ( that was out free appetizer for filling out their survey online ) a coke ( 3 refills and took the third refill To Go, and 2 warm honey wheat bread and 1 To Go.
He only had room for 2 of the wings after eating the other stuff and took the rest home.
They made no money on this kid! ;0)
We are no sooner back home and he called his friends to come back. The last one left around 8p.m.
   On our way back home I diversed and went to JoAnn Fabrics to take advantage of my 40% and 50% coupon that expired after that date. After I parked, I realized I had left them on the kitchen table.
Back home to release my passengers from having to wait for me in the car..........grab my coupons and off I go.  Two 16 oz. Caron balls of yarn $7.99 a ball , cost me under $10.     :0) happy, happy
Usie double strands of yarn for the hooded sweater pattern I make for 1, 2, and on up to 6 year olds.
Knitting with 2 strands of worsted weight yarn is more laborous, but the trouble is well worth it.
Damn buttons for these cost a small fortune now a days, but I stocked up on them years back when Iwas making them for my grands.
Even back then, they were not exactly cheap.
Handmade items may be better constructed, but they are not cheaper to make than what you can buy.
That's my own personal opinion. 
The price of fabric if you sew is outrageous too.
Food, yarn, materials , housing , etc. I see dollar signs everywhere and on everything. Enough already!!!!!

   In the grocery store , I submitted to my craving of having  cookies with my morning coffee. :0(  bad, bad. 
Thought by just giving up the candy bars that I love ( which are in plain view) Tracie gave them to me a few days after I joined Tammy's From Fat To Fab Challenge beginning 8/1....I would lose weight.
Well, I didn't gain, but I think as it stands now, I've only lost 2 pounds. :0( sigh!
I didn't just buy one container of cookies....BUT 4... Sandies shortbread.
Then this morning Dr.Oz is showing us how much trans fats are in cookies......sigh.
Haven't succumbed to the candy bars yet.  YET is the key word here. I shit you not!

   Sometime around 6ish Jill and Butchie come home....feeling good. She takes out the 3/4 full new bottle of rum and proceeds to make 3 drinks with a 4th with just ice in it.
Tom and DD on their way to go out with them to eat. DD drinks vodka and was bringing her own.
Soooooooooo they come...........and come inside to have a drink. They are three sheets to the wind too.
I'm at the computer and I hear someone fall.
Tom forgot there is a step up from my diningroom into the livingroom and took a Dipsy Doodle with his drink in his hand and landed flat out in the spilled drink.
Good thing we have a parquet floor in that area where the foot traffic is.
Jill cleaned the mess up. Butch made him another and they headed out with their drinks.

    This morning Jill told me about their lovely night.
They got to the restaurant and there were only two seats at the bar ( don't know which 2 sat in them), so they would have a wait to order their meals. Jill ordered a appetizer platter as she and Butch were starving and had been a few hours prior to getting there.
She ate one chicken wing and was waiting for some marinara sauce for the mozerella sticks.  When it came........they were gone. Tom and DD devoured most of the platter.  tee hee hee
Almost immediately after that a huge fishermen's platter for Tom was set on the bar which he and DD proceeded to eat.
Jill and Butch were bullshit. They didn't know he had already ordered food for themselves .
It would have been another 20 minute wait for them to get food after they ordered and Tom was being ignorant and an embarrassment with his loudness. Was giving the band members a hard time too.
They came home just as they left. Starving!
Starving and pissed off......but wait. They will be good friends again. Maybe as early as tomorrow.
Butch took 4 hours off this morning and works noon today til 8 a.m. Tuesday. 
Otherwise they would be friends today. I shit you not!
They have been pissed at them too many times to count........... as DIL Kim says, IT'S A JOKE!

     Am thinking that I will ask Jill to drive me to WalMart.
Need all kinds of things.  Yarn won't be one of them as they have done away with carrying alot of yarns.
:0(    Bummer!!!!

   It slipped my mind completely that I could have taken a pic of my burned kitchen counter.

Have been thinking of doll crib bedding for this doll crib. Lightbulb went off the other night and I checked out ETSY.  Hurrah!!!!  sniff, sniff....not my crib dimensions.  The Teddy Bear pattern was adorable.
Thinking cap was donned again and I wrote the dealer.
Yessssssssssssssssssssss.....she will make one to fit my doll crib.
Sent the payment pronto by PayPal and somewhere...... someone is busy at her sewing mahine making my crib bumper pads, a mattress, a pillow and a blanket. :0) woohooooooooooooooooooooooo!

My sisters favorite things to collect were Teddy Bears, mostly figurines.  The crib has a Teddy Bear decal and now this bedding .  I'm as happy as a pig in Shit. I shit you not!
