D D Go figure.....ANOTHER TRIP TO THE V.A. Hospital

Hubby began to freeze and had a temp of one hundred. Wanted nothing to eat or drink. Laid down beside him and listened to him moan and groan and made the decision to call the people that were caring for him at home. They sent a nurse here and she took his temp. 102 now.  He was weak, couldn't even assist us getting him into his wheelchair.
No sooner did I call and ask for help, I called Michelle who came and  got my car keys and went up to her store to get my car. Hubby can't get up into her pickup truck.
Jill was working a wedding and had taken it to the shop to load up a box truck and to bring the supplies to the reception hall.
I'll make this short....UTI was the DX and he was RX'd Ciprofloxin. Leaving there at 10 p.m. he was asking how he got there and where he was...YET he answered all those questions, year, president's name, his birthday when the doctor first came in to see him.  Fell asleep after blood was drawn and he was cathed to get a urine sample (all of 11 cc's ) and when he woke he never remembered how he got there or anything that was done to him, EXCEPT two male nurses being rough on him when they picked him up off the bed and put him in a wheelchair to leave. He minced no words about the way they handled him!  His body is sooooooooooo sensitive to touch.
Once home I gave him his first food of the day...butterscotch pudding and he wanted to sleep.  Then my workload began all over again, except his brain connecting to what he wants to do ( stand and rise ) seemed to take forever. Ten, twenty minutes.  He has regressed from where he was in strength to help assist.
When he woke around 5 something ...this time he was sliding off the bed and I ran to wake Jill. She got on the opposite side of the bed and grabbed his arms to pull him back up and on while I lifted his legs.
Seven something he wanted coffee.  Set it down on his nightstand after telling him I needed to change the bandage on his chest. He reached up to pull his clean T shirt down and............

fell asleep.
Woke to pee an hour or so later and this time he could stand to get on his potty. gave him his meds and gave him coffee and toast with jelly. Complained all the while he was eating it that it was too hard. I swear it was a light golden brown. sigh!  Didn't want his second cup of coffee and asked for cranberry juice.
Heard him snoring and turned around to see this..........
He drank it and immediately fell asleep holding the glass.
Jill came to look at him when I called to her. Took it from him and he woke . He is going backwards.Hope with enough Cipro in him his UTI begins to clear and he gains back what he lost.  Must call his Health Care providers and let them know that he was not admitted to the hospital and please come Tuesday.
I took PLEASURE in waking Jill while it was still dark out. She came home at 2:15 a.m.  :0)
Worked til 10:30 before she unloaded the box truck and washed out those large pans that you set sterno under, etc. Michelle was in touch  with her by phone to see how the job went and told me she was at the VFW, ....BUT I didn't hear it from her. sigh!
That story about SIL Dana being RIP SHIT at Jill will have to wait for another time.  Michelle cleared things up with me while we were at the hospital...but I haven't called Dana to set things straight.
As hubby was about to be got into his wheelchair to go to the E.R. my Randy called.
I heard something about all I want done being right around 22K.  That's with the contractor paying randy to do some of the labor instead of someone else.   I don't think it's bad...................  12 K will be my cost. I need to see the drawing and plans, estimates, whatever FIRST.  I still can't get over that it will cost me over $500 for a Permit.   Know it's FACT, but what the heck do they pay these Inspectors to check on the wiring, etc. ????
Hubby is snoring again.  Ohhhhhh how I wish it was I lying there.  Things to do.

He was able to rise and get on his potty at eleven. Today he is not only going in the potty a hundred cc's or a little more, but also has peed his pullup. Needs to be changed and washed up.  It's 11:07 a.m. and he's Out Like A Light again.   Efff it! I'm joining him and the other one at the end of the house and climbing it bed with hopes of falling asleep. Phone off hook FIRST.

That's All Folks!
