Today is my third childs birthday. Happy 54th Birthday Terry. Will have to call your cell phone with birthday wishes since you have recenly moved and did not think to share your new address with your family.
Didn't expect your wife Nancy to call me as it is you and you alone that comes from NH with a card for me on my special days and occasionally comes to visit.. There was a book years and years ago named Topsy. Have never read it, but my mother did and she always referred to that book in describing her relationship with my brother and his wife.
All I gleaned from her was ,Topsy just grew. No parents, I gather.
Everything was to do with his wife's side of the family.
Moi loves that sister in law to death and mom loved her too. . It was just the way mom felt. Even living next door to each other for a time.
I have never been exposed that much to Nancy. Don't even know her birth date. The few times in the past 20 plus years that we have been in the same space she gushes like she really, truly cares about me. Even knowing that she is bi-polar and has other issues doesn't explain her behavior.
Unless it's the fact that she couldn't have children of her own . Know definately she has one brother, possibly 2.... have never heard of nieces or nephews on her side. Both parents have passed away since they married.
And Terry, you are opinionated, a racist and drank far too much for your own good ( 2 drunk driving convictions ). You have a razor sharp tongue and she must be a saint to put up with you.
Nancy flys into rages and has driven a wedge between herself and some of your siblings that have felt her fury. Haven't asked you if she takes any medications for that problem. Her behavior is so radical.
Letting your children as toddlers, then teenagers, sleep on the couch because the spare bedroom was for GUESTS as Nancy put it. Shame on you. You have no spine! Drinking didn't solve a thing.
It wasn't your sons fault that your ex wife married your half brother.
The one and only time I can remember her being involved with your kids is when she came to David's wedding last October. You both sat at our table, conversations were good, she seemed genuinely happy to see all of us and that's the last sighting I've had of her. Before that it was 3 years past.
You came Christmas Eve....alone.
Each of us travel a different road in life.... sigh!
Rocky Road ice cream, anyone???? My favorite is Black Raspberry. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
Jill worked all day yesterday prepping and delivering food orders. Was scurrying around and jammed her ribs up against an open freezer door handle. Thinks she broke at least one rib. Came home, showered, changed and went out ALONE. Butchie has his daughter Alex this weekend. Glad the weather is warming up since his heat was shut off for non payment. Did work 2 ..8 hours overtime shifts this week. Credit given for credit due. I shit you not! We turned the tv off around 11...don't know when she came in. Heard her, but didn't look at the clock.
Working from 9 a.m. today until ? Is prepping food and later this afternoon she will work a Christening for 70 people by herself. Everything from soup to nuts she said.
This is a Sunday. OutBack day if hubby's health is co-operating. Need to run the washing machine, check on ferrets food, water, empty their poop box. Make that phone call to Terry.
Yesterday Kim came at noon with a dozen farm eggs. As soon as she left grandson Ryan came with his wife Sarah to cook hot dogs on the grille and sit out in the backyard. Gave my Barbie Doll some new dresses and things. Have fancier dresses for her birthday gift on June3rd. Nephew Drew and his spouse Patrick came to get some Jonquils from my yard ( have loads ), also the special bulbs I ordered for his birthday June22nd gift. Needed something that only grew and flowered in complete shade. 2 Toad lilies is what I think I ordered.
Ryan noticed how high the grass was and mowed the back yard. His mother will appreciate that. His nana did.
Randy came with a beautiful wide set of stairs with railings that set down into the pool. It had a FREE sign on it so he stopped and loaded it into his truck. We have a set of stairs that are narrow. Hubby isn't too keen on the new ones. Likes his old stairs, not that he goes in it often.Maybe one time last year and two times the year before. Can't swim anymore with his medical problem. Sinks! Good thing we filled the deep end in once the kids were grown so that grands can enjoy the entire pool and best yet, no more diving board or slide that our kids were prone to do stupid things on that could break their neck. I shit you not!
I say good thing we filled the deep end in for two reasons,,,,the above and it allows hubby to walk around the edge of the pool holding onto the coping.
Hate to leave, but must!
That's All Folks!
